  1. I would say a lot of it is your tanks are actually taking damage now., since most of them aren't going to be super geared yet. This means, at least in my own experiences so far, that we are healing a whole lot more on trash packs. At lvl 50, most of the time Id just throw up a couple slow release med packs and semi afk watching tv. Now, I actually have to cast real heals so that obviously is causing more threat. It could be that heals really are point for point generating more aggro, but I'm thinking it's the fact we are healing for more than we were before.
  2. I don't know why such a rumor would be floating around but, and yes I am biased lol, I would say that rumor is dumb. Aside from aoe healing (sage) I personally think we are not only viable, but near or at the top in just about every category. I've healed a bit on my commando, and granted Im not nearly as experienced on him as my scoundrel, but I get very frustrated on my 'mando because my scoundrel is capable to very strong at basically everything while my 'mando is not.
  3. Personally I've just never really worried about crit, even if one stacked it it's still, well, random. What I mean is it's not guaranteed at the precise moment when you need it. Ive always, and I've healed sawbones since release, preferred power as my favorite secondary. You end up with crit inevitably from ear, implants, our 5% buff, talents, and not to mention cunning ups your crit as you gear too. Until I see very convincing proof, which I don't believe exists lol, for secondary stat I'm sticking with power first and foremost. I say this because power positively impacts every single heal we do 100% of the time and crit will never do this.
  4. Previous posters pretty much said it all. IMO there needs to be cross server, at least for ranked. On my server, Corellian Run, there are a few teams who not only have full war hero, but war hero that's fully optimized. By that I mean they've re-bought certain items and ripped out and replaced mods etc. . Not to mention guys that have more than one 50 in full WH so that you can always get a really good comp. The few games where we did get a comparable team against us we've done great, but when it starts pairing you with one of the uber teams over and over there's no point. Also, would like to say this isn't a qq or anything against those teams, they've devoted a LOT of time towards pvp and optimizing themselves/teams but more "casual" teams just can't compete. The dominant teams have sort of squeezed everyone else out to a certain extent so I think with cross server it would be easier to have the really good teams play against other really good teams and leave the rest of us to play each other. Which I think would make both sides happier.
  5. Heals never went away to begin with lol. We'll have to see how everything balances out in the end, but I don't think going back to pre 1.2 levels would really be a good thing. I'm a scoundrel healer, and after getting a few pieces of war hero(6 to be exact) I'm very hard to kill again unless I've got 2-3 or sometimes even 4(depending on their gear) guys focusing me. Throw in a tank defending me and it's near impossible to take me down 'quickly', even if the dps are pretty good. Yea I'll die eventually, but after I distract 3 or 4 people for 15-20 seconds or more and hotting my team up just before I die I don't think we need increased 'TTK'. It's a hard thing to work out though. People need to die but they don't need to die by getting facerolled by 3 attacks. TBH I think right now, assuming equal gear, it's actually not a bad spot to be in. The trouble is under geared people getting destroyed; maybe buff recruit or make BM weps purchasable with credits? Since gear is such a huge part of pvp Id be in favor of gearing up fresh 50's as opposed to changing everything again. And let's be real recruit gear is terrible, it may be better than nothing but that's about it.
  6. Yea it wont even let me enter my password, it's greyed out and just says login server unavailable.
  7. 1. My server is too low pop and I'm not rerolling as Ive got a valor rank 81 Scoundrel, no way Im starting over. That's it. No other reason. The game is good, in fact very good IMO. However, so many left my server that I'm literally seeing 30-40 on fleet prime time, with about 80 total 50's across everywhere. Some servers are even worse, a lot worse if people aren't exaggerating.
  8. I have to admit I was pretty excited when I heard about this. I know it's a long way off and all that but I've been into Elder Scrolls since Marrowind and love the series. I'm adopting a "show me" attitude towards new games(mmo's), but if they get it right, and that's a major point, but if they do it has a lot of potential. I don't care as much about setting, i.e fantasy or sci fi, I just love having huge maps to explore and secrets/puzzles to uncover, along with the main story arc. Again, show me the goods first before I buy but I gotta say I'm pretty intrigued.
  9. I usually vote for the guy who defends a lone turret all match, calling out if incs etc. Either that, or if a healer out heals me I vote for them, or if a tank guards me he gets my auto vote. I see no reason not to vote at all even if I'm disgusted with how the match went I still just randomly click a name then leave.
  10. If there are that many new guys coming for every one guy that quits, they sure aren't rolling anything on my server.
  11. Most of the woes of the pvp'rs is the spread out population. From about 9pm to 11pm est, I was single queuing and I literally ran into the same preforms, and I do mean preforms it was two 4 man groups, and once it looked 4 by 2 by 2 from their guild tags, every match for 2 hours. I even logged an imp alt and sure enough those appeared to be only guys queuing as no same faction matches were going. The last time I did make a group of 4 guys but 4 guys grouped against two 4 man groups together isn't going to cut it. The OP may come off as sounding like a douche, some have raised this point lol, but he's right. When the imps are running multiple preforms (or pubs maybe on select servers), and even get those preforms grouped together due to lack of other guys queuing, there's just no way to fight back. We literally do not have 8 players good/geared enough on at one time to match them. I'm not really one to rage quit but I am getting sick of this stuff, so I know others are already at breaking point or beyond it. They absolutely don't have until late June, that's early summer technically, to fix this because I sure as heck haven't seen a huge influx of new players, just old ones quitting.
  12. Another reason why merges and cross server needs to come soon. Just not enough people for separate premade and pug queues. I'm really disappointed at this point. I really like the game and really like the pvp, for all the qq I read on the forums it's still infinitely more fun than I ever had in WoW pvp. Populations have been bad on many servers for well over 2 months, a few the entirety of the game. It can't be that "they don't care" because I'm sure they want to make money and therefor want to keep people at least relatively happy. It just leads me to believe they really did a poor job anticipating what terrible effects spreading everyone out would have on the game, which I mean it shouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to figure out if you remove the M and M out of MMO that it would have bad effects. If they don't do anything soon, and I mean next month or so, the game will only be 3-4 servers. If my past experience is worth anything numbers always dwindle in the summer, even in huge games like WoW, due to vacations/people being out and about more often. If the numbers dwindle anymore here it's over basically.
  13. A 100 person ignore list? I don't think there are that many total repubs on my server lol. There's no way that many people need to be on ignore, get some thicker skin or something. Remember it's just a game, no need to take stuff so seriously IMO.
  14. Just noticed this was super old lol. -deleted
  15. I play on tarro blood, basically it's just says what everyone there knows, republic has very few players. Imps are running preforms constantly and we are lucky if a group fills for us. Every now and then we'll get lucky and get a good group going, which must have been one the OP posted (considering we actually put out that much damage to heal), But, that's how you can get those numbers. A preform against a good pug.
  16. Instead of something useful, like cross server pvp queues, I'm sure they will waste time and resources on something stupid like this. The servers, save for one or two are just too small to be self contained like that. The problem are the numbers of people wanting to do the same stuff as you, not the lack of some scrubby lfg finder.
  17. I'm playing out my last 47 days. If they don't at the least add in cross server I am done. They knew the servers were going to be relatively small at launch the way they capped them. I'm not claiming to know all the numbers but it was obvious that on release day when my server had a 10-15 queue that even then it had nowhere near the population as a heavy or even medium server in WoW. It's impossible to have a MMO without the 'massively multiplayer' bit. Merges/xfers would be great but I still don't think these servers can handle WoW numbers. Cross server queues is what we need IMO.
  18. Yes OP, a few weeks ago, you would see newer people you hadn't seen before or guys that very casually pvp in matches. Now, there are literally 20 or so people on each side that queue regularly. I'm really surprised this is happening on the imp so that leads me to believe they have lost more, at least numerically if not proportionally, than the reps have. Moral of the story, it's getting super old fighting with and against the same group over and over and over. With such a small base there's no way to keep geared preforms from annihilating pugs(if they implemented a system that matched gear levels we'd have 5 maybe per day). I can tell how a match is going to go as soon as I see the other team. Cross server needs to come ASAP, the servers are just too small and that 'new car' smell of the game is fading fast. I'd also like to pick specific wz's as well but cross server is just nonnegotiable at this point. Cross server should be their tip top utmost priority as it relates to PVP. It should be ahead of ranked, class balance, etc. because 1) how can you really have anything "ranked" that's meaningful with such low server pops and 2) if more people get frustrated and leave the game/just stop pvping then ranked are pointless anyway.
  19. Easiest thing would be just let us pick which wz/wz's we want and be done with it. The people that really like huttball can queue up and play it 'til their heart's content. Those that don't prefer it can simply opt out and choose to queue the other wz's. However, in spite of the people that do say they enjoy huttball, I have a creeping suspicion that if we were allowed to choose, huttball matches wouldn't be popping as often lol.
  20. I'm cancelled for now, still have 48 days it says active sub. I'm giving them til then to at least say that they are adding a cross server and allowing people to pick which wz they want. It's getting beyond lame playing with and against the same 12-15 people everyday, and no, I'm not re-rolling and starting all over on a bigger server. To the people that love huttball, that's great. I really like Alderaan and Voidstar and I know some people hate those too. Fact is, getting stuck in maps that you hate just kills the fun. This game needs the option to choose a wz and cross server wz's pronto. I was willing to overlook it for a while but it's been almost 5 months and "in the future" isn't gonna cut it anymore. I need dates and real time frames. To me, simply letting us pick what we want to play and adding cross server would solve most complaints, or most of mine anyway. I really like this game but queues are getting too long and waiting 15 minutes to play against a premade huttball team just sucks.
  21. Everything I wrote was based off one observable fact. Queues have gone from 2-3 minutes tops to literally 10-15 minutes on my server during eastern time prime time (tarro blood server). I don't think it's irrational or a bold "assumption" to say that this is a direct result of people queuing up for a few games, getting totally crushed, and then quitting. I talk to a lot of people and getting killed so quickly is, in fact, what they tell me is the reason they aren't queuing as much Is it 100% true for all people? No, but that small percentage that it doesn't apply to aren't going to keep the game afloat, but all the casuals quitting will certainly kill it. General statements are just that, general and very broad, and there will always be a minority who don;t fit that mold. However, people aren't queuing as much and getting smashed so quickly is what they are telling me is the reason why.
  22. For all intents and purposes this is all a bunch of gobbledygook. Let's look at the facts. Fact: The overwhelming majority of people don't run around with a calculator crunching numbers or go about writing dissertations about some PVP system in a game they just log on and play just a few hours a week. The old Everquest days are over we just have to accept it or just quit online gaming. Fact: Most people just single queue and play a few matches a day. There's no point in saying "lol preform more baddie" because that's just not going to happen. Most have and will continue to single queue. It's been that way in every game I've ever played. Yea, the people who are serious will group up and roll people but let's face it, that's a marginally tiny minority of the player base. Fact: People are dieing way faster than before. It can be rationalized and justified until the end of time, but it will never be accepted by most players. The average player just wants to log in, play a few matches and get their daily finished in a reasonable amount of time. The average player has no interest in dieing every 10 seconds or joining some permanent preform to win. You can call them baddies or scrubs or whatever you will but it's going to change nothing. Not flaming you OP or anything I'm just saying, the way things are now just isn't acceptable to most players. You are right in many respects but most people aren't going to rationalize things and then take the steps to fix it. They will keep queuing solo, get rolled, then eventually rage quit.
  23. I love every bit of this QQ. For months everyone cried and cried about healers being OP. Serious question, what did people expect to happen once heals got knocked down a couple pegs? Did you honestly think with healers being easier to kill, that it wouldn't bleed over and make YOU easier to kill? I love it, it's a perfect case of biting the hand that feeds. I'm seriously loving all of this so much I may just bench my healer and finish leveling my sent.
