but because im such an obsessive I just cant help it when I see that little unfilled star on the map indicating a quest. However I fear if I keep doing them I will get bored of this game before ive even completed my first character. So im now going to resist all temptation and just do the class quests. Will I miss anything significant by doing this and is it a good idea? Thanks.

Swtor has had the effect on me of making me want to play KOTOR again. So on Friday I sat for 5 hours trying to get KOTOR to work on Windows 7. Ive manager to get past the splash screens and have started playing. I had lots of crashes on the Endar Spire and a few in the Taris Sewers. Im hoping its not gonna wreck my playthough and keep crashing. I really love these games. Think ive played through KOTOR 1 and 2 about 10 times each and never get bored.

to be a little more...how should I put this, KOTOR-ish. I dunno if its just me being over critical but I would love it if SWTOR's cutscenes included more actual action in them rather than just talking. In KOTOR during the cutscenes there were big set pieces, explosions, light saber fights as well as talking. In SWTOR I havnt seen much of that yet. A few times you get the choice to force shock someone but thats about it. Granted I am only level 20 but still.

Lol you have a very narrow idea of a "British accent". I take it you all think we speak like the Queen? Ill let you into a little secret, im from Belfast, part of the United Kingdom and we all speak like this: Well I see "we all"...I was educated in a private school so my accent is a little more refined than what you will hear in that video. But to compare British people with snooty is totally wrong.

Havnt read the whole thread so this has probably already been answered. But apparently most people agree that Lucas was trying to make connections between the British Empire and all our apparent killing and enslavery of different races around the world and the galactic Empire, who also do all those things. Personally as a British person I can see the comparison.

The Battle of Yavin? Ive read a lot of the Star Wars novels and at the start they all state how many years before or after they are to the Battle of Yavin. Why?

Well the whole world and my money does not revolve around what you think deserves or not.

Theres just a stigma to F2P. For a start it means you've wasted your sub. Secondly F2P games are rarely taken seriously in the gaming world. Thirdly F2P games naturally get less players. Less players means less fun.

So you want MY money and MY time to be wasted just to prove your point??? Incredible. What right do you have for that request? Ive never played WoW. I couldnt care less what TOR is like compared to WoW. I didnt spend my time and money to "help the game industry learn a lesson". And I dont know many people (besides you) who would.

Dont they have any sense of kindness? To people like me who are actually liking this game and am building my character and if this game went free to play, I would feel aggrieved. We all know if enough people usually have enough negative opinions it does actually matter unfortunately some times.

I dont get it? Why are you all wishing this will go free to play and taking joy in its apparent "badness"? Personally when a new Star Wars game that ive been waiting ages for comes out im quite happy to play it and im hoping it never gets shut down. Secondly when you've invested your money in a subscription for a game why would you want it to fail?

Its all so confusing. So...theres PVP "games" on PVE servers? And then all out war on PVP servers between empire vs republic?

Well it matters because I like seeing other people around doing stuff due to the social fun you can have/chatting etc. Currently my server im on is deserted on Korriban. Secondly...yes this is my first MMo since Runescape way back in the day...im not a MMO lover. In fact im only playing this game for the Bioware/KOTOR story. So excuse me for not knowing the finer points of modern MMO's. In Runescape you could change server at the click on a button.
