  1. Maths is hard for Bioware. No explanation as to why it isn't fixed, with an entire thread dedicated to providing numbers stating emphatically how it is still broken. Two explanations: Bioware is stupid They are trying to revert initial double EXP gains without being transparent about it
  2. See, I usually hate these threads because they crucify changes simply because they are changes. However, the new Huttball is awfully designed. It's just a cluster on the second level where teams await to gank AOE the carrier from the first level. There's less of an emphasis on traversing heights through leaps and rescues, replaced by a greater emphasis on spam heal and damage in a big group. I can't see how one or two individuals could even do anything interesting without the other team being utterly blind to a ball passing right past them - everything will be a wash of slows and stuns as the carrier tediously takes the ball to the line with a train on him. The fact that the ball is on the bottom also means a scorer can immediately drop down in three seconds and repeat the same long, dull procedure all over again - it's like a bad game of snakes and ladders. The traps don't work as well and are more for a bit of fun rather than serving a strategic purpose. I can't see how I'd choose to play this. In the other huttball (obviously talking solely normal, not that you can do ranked anymore) the team with the higher DPS didn't make it an auto win, there were many other things in play. Now, I just see whoever possesses the more powerful train on the second level hijacking the ball and scoring.
  3. Rep side Tython, why is the end boss a no-name shy Sith who doesn't speak? What a way to cheap out on voice acting - an army of two-dimensional, tongue tied end game bosses.
  4. What? How do his numbers show even a straight 300%? And why would guild boost not be calculated? Why arbitrarily leave out one boost in the calculation but, supposedly, non other?
  5. I believe the latter may be true, or that the Devs wish to go back on their original XP multipliers after deeming them to be too large.
  6. I was just thinking on the way home, it should be higher. I remember the original weekend giving significantly higher EXP returns, and this explains it. The base became 200% (or reduced in in accordance to whether you are F2P or not) and the boosts then work off that base. So a 200% base on 1,155 would be 2,310 and then you add the bonuses. 2,310 x the 130% bonus = 5,313. And those are the sort of numbers we saw in the first weekend.
  7. Eric, this is confusing. Why are you putting the rested and double XP together? They aren't supposed to be the same. As stated before, which is very obvious, the boost is not being doubled, either legacy or major, and It is supposed to be. This was stated just before the first double XP weekend. A percentage of 310% was quoted (100+100+30+30+25+25) and now we have guild EXP to take into account (an additional 20%). Surely these numbers prove that this is not the case? EDIT: Found the quote: Surely we should be at 330% total now with guild bonus? 330% of 1,155 gives calculates at 3,811.50. Or am I missing something? And if that multiplication of the boosts is on top of the new base of 200%, that should be even higher
  8. And yet the galaxy observes the continued expansion of the prodigious Cartel Market, curious...
  9. Can't really take the idea of competent Bioware testers seriously. There was a problem, but for some reason this thread doesn't discuss it? Double EXP was working. It was flashpoint legacy experience and boost experience that was not, resulting in overall lower EXP than normal rested EXP would give. How was this confusing?
  10. You are 100% right. But I think it usually signifies the general difference in community age groups. Some people have a very lay back and take it attitude. They forget that we're paying for a service - for a game - and that these promotions are intended to add extra incentive to continued subscription, so yes they should be something the community desires. Bioware aren't developing this game out of charity. We aren't a bunch of orphans holding out our dirty fingers and telling each other the single scrap of bread we receive is "better than nothing". We are paying for more than nothing, and consequently expect more. With the amount they over promote such things as this speeder, it does leave a bad taste in your mouth. It clearly required absolutely no effort to develop or to throw out - so maybe I'd even prefer nothing, or at least I'd be equally as indifferent to nothing as I am to yet another pointless speeder already forgotten in my pre-existing pile of hideous mounts I'll never use. If these speeders had been part of a cartel back, they'd be on the GTN for 20-30k a piece right now.
  11. Have you tested anything that's been said to disprove? It isn't working as intended, I would bet a lot of money on that fact. The issue exists outside of KDY. I love how through being blindly obsequious and fanboyish, you feel you're on a higher ground than those simply pointing out that there are issues. Have counter thoughts? Then express them without the feigned intellectualism.
  12. It's not that no mob is counting. But I'm fairly sure the 50% from Major Experience isn't counting at all, in any instance other than PVP. Right now the numbers are no different to rested, so 200% seems to be working in open world and in instances. Just nothing else. No legacy perks, no boost. PVP seems fine, but I've done fewer tests on those numbers.
  13. Double EXP is not working in any instances, flashpoints or heroics.
  14. I'm fairly sure the legacy perks aren't working on 2x EXP.
  15. Might it be that people have a reason to roll a DPS other than a sent/mara? Good lord! The horror!
  16. It's not negativity, it's discursively eliminating the validity of your thread as a blatant attempt to suggest A whilst meaning B. Don't deal in falsehoods. Be open about what you want to say. You wouldn't be so overt in proclaiming commando healer as an incapable healer, when countless good players will tell you that is untrue, if you didn't have an alternate motif.
  17. How obvious can this rubbish be. This is why nothing comes from the feedback on this forum. Details all three classes, referring to Commando heal as "we" and the other two in "their" or "they", with a 'disclaimer' claiming he isn't in fact a commando. What's with the perfidious attempts at QQing your own class? Why not just be open? You want commando healer to be buffed, likely you don't play it well and feel that is down to the 'balance' issue - that's fine, just be open. Please replace "Mercs are terrible healers" with "I'm a terrible healer and need to find a reason that explains why I am so bad"
  18. I think this warrants an exception to their usual approach of non-communication on details. They've been able to talk about what 2.2 and 2.3 will bring, and only yesterday it was hinted that the PVP patch will be "soon" after 2.2. Most, including me, took that to mean 2.3. However, yet again we've been teased with the promise of content only to discover that we'll be 'happy' with 2.4. But this game has been so lacking in PVP content for so long that it is only fair that we have all the information to make an informed decision about our future with the game, and the future of PVP in general. These details are needed. Talking of PVP content is far too vague and most will agree that significant features need to be implemented or else the PVP here will disappear, even more than it already has done.
  19. It has been 8-9 months since any significant changes were made to PVP. We were promised content "shortly after" 2.0 and are now setting at an October release date for 2.4, the patch cited to contain improvements to PVP. This is a petition to request that Bioware give us the details of that patch, rather than simply teasing us with the promise of content as they have so harshly done for the past half year. Most of us stay loyal to this game because we enjoy the PVP, but many are leaving and will continue to leave until new features are implemented. We need arenas. We need 4v4 content. We need a ranked season. We don't need a single new WZ. Please Bioware, enlighten us and give PVPers a reason to stay subbed. Tell us what we can expect from 2.4 and please do not be purposefully vague. Stop taking for granted your PVP fanbase. DISCLAIMER : Those that sign in this thread are not under the expectation that any details revealed will be guaranteed and set in stone. We understand the problems with over promising. However, what we need to know is what is in the works and what the expected outcome is.
  20. In my head, the PVP team for this game sits most the day dribbling long strings of drool onto their keyboards. Will the PVP devs have considered the ramifications of this in huttball? Or any game? What will stop players simply using /stuck all the time now, or jumping in the fire, just to reset their breaker CD. Why wouldn't the tank just kill himself after every run? What possible negative result would there be to that? But they simply implement brain dead ideas and consistently show how clueless they are with their own PVP system. This is not a solution, it is not a band aid, it is nothing but a clueless move to appease a bunch of whine on the forums about CC.
  21. I can't say how much this annoys me. Can you not at least say what the PVP content will entail? If it's a new WZ, please don't even bother, you might as well create a set of new space missions. Please implement 4v4 matches, arena, or literally any feature that will actually enhance PVP, rather than watch systems like Rated go underused due to no supporting features. The problem is you constantly tease PVPers with content and even now, with no content in so many months, you aren't even clear about what we'll be receiving. Just more for PVE :/
  22. Seriously... this must be a troll, no one can be this without a clue.
  23. 110% guaranteed to not play a gunslinger. Smasher trying to stealth.
