  1. Wow seriously, use spoiler alerts or cover the OP up. How dense?
  2. I've done 8 chapters so far in veteran mode with comps all below rank 10. It just forces you to play very well. It isn't possible, but I understand that people like to suggest that they're unable to do, is impossible for all.
  3. I will never understand this small population of Bioware enablers. The game isn't doing well; why on earth would you pretend otherwise? Don't you want it to improve? Are you so sensitive and insecure that other people having a bad time somehow impedes your ability to have a good time? Other than the two great storylines with the last two expansions, the game development has done EVERYTHING wrong. There hasn't been a single positive change - from DvL to the rehashed events to the loot system - since ... honestly since they added the last lot of raids/WZs. Since they last actually produced content, and didn't just try to artificially elongate the gearing path and rewind the hamster wheel. I understand that you come back for a month and want everything to be great - but it isn't. Most of the servers are dead (with few exceptions) and the game is suffering. People will not stay for this new loot system. That isn't an empty threat. Guilds are leaving - on the launch week of a new expansion, servers are empty. The game won't be sustianed by those that return for two weeks, fill up a few instances, and then leave again.
  4. More outstanding are the people defending the health of this game. It's never been this bad; KOTFE I know, in terms of storyline, put many people off due to the distancing from the traditional light v dark paradigm (paired with lack of group content and general Star Wars feel). The story they told wasn't bad, but it changed the context within which we play. For the PVP community, Bioware couldn't even put in the effort to maintain regular ranked season and rewards. Consequently, the entire community left. I'm not sure whose left? The in-and-out players that play for a week, complete the storyline, proclaim the game as excellent, and then leave? It's not an MMO anymore (hasn't been for a long time). There's no reason to be surprised if only very few return, and even fewer remain. Bottom line: for what reason would you stay subbed to SWTOR after you've completed the story? (If you're a long-time player that has already done all existing content, numerous times). You can only reset the hamster wheel so many times before the hamster learns to step off.
  5. How do you measure success? Pilfering the IP through cheaply produced CM content that happens to sell well to a certain crowd, doesn't constitute success as a subscription-based MMO. It's far from the second most successful subscription-based MMO when measured by actual subscriptions. Both Eve and FF14 have far greater numbers. It might make more money, but that's largely through the freeium portion of the game and the cartel market. But that's a candle burning quickly - people don't stay to get duped with reskinned items forever. What's more, the money made is not reinvested into the game. They're recouping a lot of costs, but ultimately pilfering their product for short-term gains. Nothing EA/Bioware has done shows they're ready to support SWTOR in the long-term.
  6. You can't be serious? It's a game on its last legs, and it's been declining over the past five years. Therefore, every day has marked a further decline, hence the ongoing complaints from the community. Bioware never managed to turn the tide, nor significantly improve their core product (as an MMO). Most servers are absolutely dead. I don't understand this mentality. What do you currently see within SWTOR that suggests that the game is, and has been, doing 'fine'? I honestly think they do a remarkable job for what I'd assume to be a very small budget, but EA has all but abandoned support for this game. It's more a source of shame than triumph.
  7. Game will do just fine with supporters like you dipping in once a year, dismissing community complaints, and praising the game for managing to entertain them for two days.
  8. It's absolutely this sort of enabling that has aided the downfall of SWTOR. Players have absolutely no reason to have any faith or trust in Bioware, and their repeated mistakes are the reason for the community's ongoing skepticism.
  9. QA team...? What on earth makes you think they have a QA team?
  10. Does anyone know if the boosts are bound for two days like other CM items?
  11. Ah, in that sense, I'd agree with you. You should be able to go back and do them, or at least choose to not have begun the KOTFE content. But perhaps if you don't own the expansion, that's what you can do. The story bit is only walled off if you begin the KOTFE content.
  12. I love how they failed to include the price of the tokens.
  13. Far more would be irritated if it did count. Including me. It's a nice gesture from Bioware.
  14. So you'll be here for one week, and then leave. This is just how it goes. People return, dejected by the negative posts and criticism, and feel compelled to provide some insight based on one week or two weeks recent play. Reality, they'll be gone very soon, and it's once again the backbone of the SWTOR community that is disheartened with the lack of actual positive change.
  15. Either I've missed something in the patch notes (possible) or they've secretly and heavily nerfed the amount of credits from slicing. We're now getting almost 50% less, including 4.5k from the blue boxes V the pre-4.0 rate of 8k-11k. Any explanation? Is this all for the credit farmer's sake?
  16. My patcher keep repeatedly re-installing the patch. I open it, it bugs, I close it, re-install. I feel your pain.
  17. Of course it is. What other way is there to hide a lack of content? You need something repeatable. It's why PVP survives with so little. What's more, we're now effectively re-grinding our status with our companions, re-earning the crafting bonuses etc. Enjoy all.
  18. It was fine during the patch, when the servers were down. However, now when I try to load in I get a message on the load screen, 'Failed to load game assets'. Anybody else getting this? EDIT: Also includes 'Edit Code: C5'
  19. The problem is your explanation does not explain why he performs miserably at the game - why he tirelessly loses every single PVP warzone/arena he plays in, and still finds the concept of rotating hotkeys confusing and overly complex. People need a reason to explain why they do bad at something. It's obviously because everyone else cheats, and pretty copy and paste that for the attitudes of many in the carebear PVE-esque community.
  20. The Nexu is a cool mount and should be removed from those who accidentally received it. It has clear work put into it. What would we get instead, with a similar level of prestige to justify the effort many put in? Knowing Bioware, it would be a token gesture of their failure. A decoration or a trophy. I'd love to be proven wrong, and maybe they'll put some effort in to give the tier 1 community a similarly cool mount.
  21. You fixed your spelling and still haven't responded to the blatant issue? None of my characters with 1600+ rating received the mount. Meanwhile, random players that have had nothing to do with PVP are receiving it. This is getting tiresome. Fix this issue now, and don't leave it till Monday simply because it's nearing the weekend. How hard is it to do such a simple task?
