  1. Since we know the game has more then 1 million subs (Bioware press release) and assuming your numbers were right (they are comically high) this game would have suffered the worst pre-order -> actual account transitions of all time. I still have to ask where the OP got 1.5 million from though. I see nothing from Bioware nor EA confirming that number.
  2. Ya some because of how the CS' work can't be abandoned.
  3. Not just mine actually. Is it the majority opinion? Who can say?
  4. Does not make anything EZ mode, it is a time saver. I wish I had any idea what you are actually talking about here. It is almost like you think Bioware would allow people to dual spec a Jedi Knight and a Jedi Consular. Utility > pointless money sink. What are you even talking about. Each class should be a single ROLE by your "logic". Aka all Jedi Knights are tanks, Consular are healers, etc.
  5. 1. Some do some don't. Jedi ones are not that great. Really I felt more involved with the old Paladin quests in WoW then the first few planets character story lines here. 2. There is more but it is still fairly superficial. There is not real deep character development or at least I have not found it. 3. MMOs start at cap, this game does not change that. Single player games start at 1 though. 4. ROFL. Ya ranged >>>>>>>>>>>>> melee. No it is not balanced and was a complaint in the beta as well. 5. No, it is for most classes button smashing for some more complex just like another game. 6. Companions = Pets. Do you mean they have some additional "life" to them with the additional interaction quest wise? That I can agree at least.
  6. Shame every playable race looks like that except for the head. Bad example. They do? Your story doesn't fundamentally change regardless of your decisions. You can still just follow a mod and there is very little difference. Outside of the heroic quest/zone on each planet what more do you need help with in SWTOR? You still can pvp/instance/raid solo. Lack of immersion is what WoW is today, not what SWTOR is right now.
  7. Why would they close feedback threads?
  8. Off hand where did you get this number from? We know it is over 1 million but I have not seen anything to show the 1.5 million mark.
  9. Hmm sounds like it could be kinda interesting.
  10. Inquisitor is a very interesting story, consular on the other hand... ugg.
  11. Does it get better or do you always feel like the B side of a record?
  12. I am kinda laughing at this. The mere fact a game appears to be popular will influence a review, or do you think the 8.5 Gamespot gave Warhammer was justified? Really you making a bizarre assumption that the folks that run these review sites give a fig about honesty or integrity when the bottom line in well... on the line. I mean G4tv gave the game 5/5. That would mean it is utterly perfect in every respect. I still cannot believe you are trying to defend professional review sites. They are like user reviews nearly worthless.
  13. The left panel represents the game sites paychecks. Both left and right are equally worthless these days.
  14. The reviews (high or low) I mean not the game
  15. High/low it's junk. hell of a lot more playing these days would be my guess.
  16. http://www.gamespot.com/warhammer-online-age-of-reckoning Ya just spot on... I mean good god many of us have been gaming for a good long time. Review sites long ago became big business. Their reviews do not work on a realistic metric anymore.
  17. I have a strong feeling GW2 will not live up to it's hype, they are making just way too many bold claims and promises and I have yet to see a company deliver on that many.
  18. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/warhammer-online-age-of-reckoning Uh no "professional reviews" are just as useless. About the only thing you can do outside of just trying the game out to see if you like it is to look at the 40-70 range (since most are 1/2 or 9/10) reviews and: a. Read what they have to say and compare it to what you know. b. See where more of the ratings are falling. If there are a lot more 7s then 4s you have a better chance of seeing a good game.
  19. On the flip side review sites looking for page hits aka advertising dollars will rate the next "popular" game far higher then it should be rated so people come to visit their site. I mean just look at Warhammer http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/warhammer-online-age-of-reckoning 86/100 and it was a bloody disaster. Reviews either by people or "professional critics" don't mean jack anymore. They lost their value when the sites became big business. The average MMO should be a 5 and I honestly cannot think of any MMO that would be above an 8. Also there is not one MMO in existence that would get an 8 at launch.
  20. Said it before will say it again Reviews don't mean jack good or bad so early in the games life. While I would give the game a 6.5 (5 being an average MMO in the last few years), the only reviews that matter happen at the 1 month 3 month and 6 month time frames. aka player numbers.
  21. I am not really sure how the on/off toggle for sith corruption quite compares to light side and dark side gear.
  22. Trying to roll Republic Jedi but their stories are so Bleh compared to the Sith ones (inquisitor being damn nifty). Jedi Knight = Standard and generic hero story. Consular = The "B" side. Sith Warrior = Standard bad guy but with various interesting twists. Inquisitor = Really set up to give you the freedom of light side or dark side.
  23. Biggest MMO on the market = WoW. MMO that has a test server = WoW. I think that trumps EvE (LOL) and Aion (going great in Korea)
  24. Companions are and should stay second class citizens, down with companion rights! Seriously though Player need > Companion need no exceptions.
