  1. DoTs are usually the issue however they aren't the only thing that causes this. There seems to be a bug that randomly pops you out of stealth (without taking damage) and for me it happens most often immediately after I go into stealth. Go into stealth --> get unstealthed immediately --> wait for cooldown on stealth to reset and pray that noone attacks you before that happens And this of course happens quite frequently after using cloaking screen too.
  2. No. After the casting of Orbital Strike has finished I am immediately put into combat (little red symbol appears). It's not because of the stealth CD I just love that I seem to be the only one with who has this problem/bug...
  3. Well, that is assuming that your opponent only interrupts your heals by using one interrupt. When I play with my Tank Sin against a Scoundrel/Operative that tries to heal himself I will interrupt the first heal with spike, use my knockback vs the second heal, use my interrupt vs the third, electrocute vs the 4th. By then that Scoundrel/Op is dead without doing any damage or healing. That being said your spec might be effective against many of the average Tank Sins that you see around, but how about fighting DPS Powertechs? You need your DoTs for internal damage (not mitigated by armor) and you usually get into an all-or-nothing fight where there is zero room for healing yourself. Just as an example of a fight where you would usually prefer having better DPS over better healing. Overall I like investing some points into the medic tree (instead of lethality) more for the purpose of healing allies rather than healing myself, which is why I don't spec into Survival Training. And I don't need the 5k healing medal anyways.
  4. What do I need an improved stealth detection for? Since 1.2 I can see any stealther from 15 meters away as long as I am facing him. The bad players who never bothered to spec into their stealth detection complained about "OP stealth classes" enough so that Bioware gave everyone their stealth detection for free. Regarding your other suggestions: Survival Training is certainly something to think about but right now I am not willing to sacrifice any more of my burst for survivability. I can kite and survive well enough. Surgical Steadiness is not very important to me because when I heal myself I usually use LoS or CC my opponent. And players who don't use CCs/interrupts when I channel a heal but keep on doing damage instead are no real threats anyways. I also use Corrosive Dart a lot against heavy armor targets with great success so I am not dumping Imperial Brew. So I guess it's all a matter of personal preference.
  5. Wait...MOBS? I think this was intended as a PvP thread. I am not saying that Dirty Fighting is bad in PvP but you ARE going to run into Upper Hand issues, there is no way around it. There is one thing about Dirty Fighting in PvP though that still -even after the massive Scrapper nerfs- makes the spec less appealing to me: Shrap Bomb While Shrap Bomb is a great skill that does awesome damage it also causes UP TO 3 TARGETS to be IMMUNE TO MEZZES for at least 21 SECONDS (30 SECONDS if you have specced into "Nice Try") which not only hurts you, but also your team a lot. CC is the key to success in SWTOR PvP. I cannot count how often I have won 1vs2 and 2vs4 situations, scored in huttball or planted a bomb by smart use of Flashbang. When you have Shrap Bomb in your damage rotation, all that Flash Bang does is provide your opponents with lots of resolve. And the same goes for all of the mezzes that your teammates are using - only that they don't know which opponent has a dot on them and which one doesn't. The neat and clean single target burst damage that the Scrapper provides is much more useful in PvP than the "throw your dots on everyone" style that is required when playing the DF build. At least that's the case in the 50s bracket where you meet more people who know how to play the game.
  6. If an Operative took away 80% of your health in 4 seconds you are doing something seriously wrong. How about using your knockback/CC? What class do you even play? What gear do you have?
  7. Jarring Strike, Imperial Education and Improved Stealth (improved movement speed!!!!) I will never give up as a concealment operative. I have been messing around with a 7/31/3 build lateley (picking up Incisive Action and Chem-resistant Inlays) and I have to say, I like those faster heals way better than the lower CD on Debilitate. There are some situations - especially in Huttball and Voidstar defense - where those heals can really make a big difference. My current spec: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401Mc0MZGhModdRdGRZoM.1
  8. Not to mention the incredible group utility and the increased uptime on target that Marauders offer.
  9. Don't forget snipers. They are in a very good spot for rated warzones. Probably the second most important dps class to have on your team... only marauders are better
  10. Dropping out of combat is definitely very different on my Operative than it is on yours. It has always been much harder than for me than it was for you during that Huttball match (I have randomly been knocked out off stealth, stuck in combat for >40 seconds and being spotted from 20-30m distance while being stealthed), but since 1.2 it has gotten even worse. For example when I cast an Orbital Strike now I will be in combat directly after the casting is finished (BEFORE the first tick) 90% of the time. Only very rarely can I cast Orbital Strike and go into stealth before it starts doing damage. You can cast an Orbital Strike in the middle of the Huttball arena right when the match starts - I can't. If I do that, I am immediately locked into combat. The result is that I have to weave lots of clunky poison darts, sabotage charges and off-heals into my rotation because I cannot attack from stealth. Which locks me in combat even longer. I always thought it was the same for every Operative but now I realize that it seems to be a problem only for a few people. I agree with the poster above who said that "something weird is going on with stealth".
  11. You lost me right there. The odds that a higher PERCENTAGE of good pvp players are on the imp side are EXACTLY THE SAME as on the republic side. The odds that a higher ABSOLUTE NUMBER of good pvp players are on the imp side are HIGHER than on the republic side.
  12. It's always the same. People always want what they can't have. The game that they are currently playing is always "garbage" and the next one that is about to be released is always going to be "much better". Then after that game is released they chew through the content way too fast instead of enjoying it and soon they start getting bored and hate that game. I wonder how often this has to happen for some people to realize that the problem is not the game that they are playing but their own attitude.
  13. Why is your Cunning so low in full BM gear? Even if you had collected no Datacrons I think it should be >1500.
  14. Nice use of Orbital Strike. You seem to be dropping out of combat way easier than I am. I wonder why that is When you were carrying the ball: - Should have passed to the Juggernaut next to you, he is a way better ball carrier - Could have used flashbang and walked right through that group of players - Calling the guy that ran out of your pass to the endzone a "retard" was pretty unfair. He was trying to help clearing a way for you and honestly you didn't look like you were willing to pass the ball anytime soon

    1.2 Best PvP Specs

Powerr, I agree with what you're saying in the video. But why did you only talk about the overpowered classes? There is also one class that is severely underpowered to the degree that noone even plays it anymore. It would have been worth mentioning I think.
  16. I am not saying that Dirty Fighting is useless, but I think you are sugarcoating it. Yes, the overall damage over the course of a warzone is higher than that of a Scrapper, we all know it. But that damage - in general - is not nearly as useful as a Scrapper's damage because it is more easiely healed and not as bursty. How often do you get the chance and the time to meet an opponent one on one who you can apply Hemorrhaging Blast and both DoTs on and who gives you the chance to Blaster Whip him afterwards? A simple Knockback/CC or another player intervening destroys your whole setup. And don'teven get me started on players that cleanse your DoTs Edit: Also you should not spec into Flash Powder as it is probably the most useless skill for PvP that you can have.
  17. And getting in 10m or melee range doesn't even suffice. You also need to get BEHIND them in order to apply your biggest damaging ability. And with the lags that we are experiencing in PvP that is more difficult than ever.
  18. There are no mods that I am aware of that can give you >2000 Cunning while maintaining >1000 Expertise (unless maybe you already have full WH gear, which I am pretty sure noone has at this point). So learning to think for myself PROBABLY won't change that. If you are not willing to show us your gear, that is obviously fine. But it makes it very likely that you are indeed lying and puts you in no position to look down on people because "they don't know how to remod their gear".
  19. This does not help at all as this is basically the exact same think that you wrote before, only with prettier colours and a few more numbers. We would need to see your actual gear/mods.
  20. I am with you on this one. The average Marauder/Assassin may not be better than the average Commando BUT if they are played well, the gap between those classes becomes quite huge. And that is a very big advantage that Marauders have going right now.
  21. If we don't get a reply, we will know for sure. However if he really does know a way to get these stats, I'll lift my hat.
  22. Tell that to a DPS Operative.
  23. Thanks for your reply. Can you point me to the thread that you are referring to? I would really like to know how it is possible to get >2k cunning while maintaining >1k expertise.
  24. You 3-shot "everyone" on your Operative? So you are hitting >5k three consecutive times in a row? 5-shotting Tanks seems even more ridiculous. Please tell me how you do that exactly. I have a lvl 77 Operative (full BM + 2 pieces WH) and probably hit for >5k damage about three or four times overall since 1.2 has been released.
