Yeah, heals are probably the best way to go for huttball. Your HOT's are awesome, and surgical probe can be huge keeping a low life ball carrier up.
I use a med/leth build that grabs the snare associated with corrosive grenade. It's insanely good for chasing down ball carriers, combine that with sever tendon, and a cybertech snare grenade and you'll not only greatly slow down your enemy but not activate their resolve in the process.
