  1. Almost a month since dropping this out there, curious if there's been any talk behind the scene regarding some of the sentiment found in the replies? I think they raise valid points.
  2. Hmm, elaborate? Anyone can run the event and receive the same rewards. I really appreciate the effort but its so extremely tedious because they chose to make it such and I rather not change my actual keybindings to accommodate yet another questionable decision they made without much reason at all 😭 They could just undo it! I'm still clinging to that. The holiday sale last year that brought back almost every item was by far the coolest thing they did, though the expansion launch date was a missed mark. They honestly should have kept that going, it could have played a role in staving off inflation, but another holiday month of doing so to cap off this year long 'celebration' would earn them some good will. Only time will tell. with however many of us remain left. There are sets people are paying $30 outside of the game for if not billions in game. We haven't even received a double xp event in so long. Exact issues a friend of mine had been dealing with but she called it quits back in July due to a lack of content, lack of interesting QoL changes, unnecessary changes, and feeling of being "iced out". I really do feel for people outside of the prime time already, but the change actively made that circumstance worse and I still have yet to see or hear anything from the devs about why they made the change.
  3. Literally just the first boss. Which is hilarious to me, I did it on MM before touching it for SM when it first came out and felt like it was just another run of the mill MM. I had 2 healers quit the beginning of Objective Meridian this morning, and a healer+dps duo at the beginning of Battle of Rishi (lol). Yesterday it was the Nathema tank that inspected everyone's achievements and determined upon seeing only me (healer) being the one besides them to complete it, that the final fight was not worth getting to, so they quit after giving their villain speech.
  4. You would think it wouldn't take them more than a year to actually act on this kind of issue that anyone who has queued for MMs in the past few years would be swiftly made aware of. They have the numbers. What I'd give to see how many people have actually completed the achievements for these in particular. Worst part is I actually like the flashpoints (minus Nathema and how long Vengeance is) and would appreciate new challenging small group content, but they do nothing to make them worth doing while still forcing them into the pool of things we need to do.
  5. The rewards for doing a selection of flashpoints simply is not worth the time and doing it with all options on has the potential for being a flashpoint that simply was not worth the wait to get to (think MM Umbara or Spirit of Vengeance popping and your tank/healer quits upon seeing it, because this has happened to me). This is not new, and I'd figure you'd know it with how long you've been around. This could be fixed entirely if Bioware made the harder and longer flashpoints worth more and either excluded some from the weekly's requirement of 'all selected' or made a separate tier. People aren't JUST playing for pure fun, running MMs can be for fun or done as a means toward another end. As it stands, flashpoints remain a hollow and less rewarding form of content because of the lack of incentive, inflexibility of requirements to complete the weekly, and a snail pace to either rebalance the content or create separate tiers so rebalancing won't have to be an issue.
  6. Certain changes that came with 7.0 still bother me for their lack of explanation and I'm wondering if there will ever be a reason given for them. Namely: Uncompleted Daily and Weekly Missions are now removed from the player’s log once the Daily and Weekly reset time passes (Tuesday, 12:00 AM UTC). The All Worlds Ultimate Swoop Rally organizers have further assessed the Horizon's Razor's Kickstart and found it to break Swoop Rally regulations. It has been modified to now only provide a boost of speed once every 10 seconds. The following Feast of Prosperity Emotes are now correctly filtered when viewing Collections in the All category: Emote: Feel the Groove Emote: Toast of Prosperity Emote: Overeat Changes to the Dark vs Light System: Dark and Light Side points can only be earned through conversation choices and Diplomacy Crew Skills Missions. Removed the following Dark vs Light elements: Dark vs Light challenge Dark Side and Light Side Token acquisition These are all strange to me for differing reasons. The resetting of incomplete missions was never explained, at all. No stated goal or anything, not even a passing comment, and it is beyond annoying. Please revert. Same with the Razor's Kickstart nerf. So random and to an actually cool tactical!! Gets rid of any actual incentive to do the event besides "FUN" I guess? The emotes being correctly filtered would be nice, but it never was explained why these were even in collections to begin with since we CAN'T unlock them. Never mind that there are still emotes in collections that to my knowledge have never been available? And the DvL system that actually expanded upon a system that felt very Star Wars. Yes, interest in the world bosses waned after so long of not being touched or incentivized, but the toggle?? The tokens that are unavailable to earn? I know this at least got a 'it will return at a later date', but why was there NO replacement for the mean time? @JackieKo Has there been talk on the team as to why these changes were implemented, or anything the developers could share with us? I know there are more pressing concerns and topics to address, but I would greatly appreciate the time and effort. Just look at that short list and tell me how any of those things make any sense. And no, I will never let go of the Razor's Kickstart question. Its one of the coolest ideas to date.
  7. Could they bug it to be something actually useful for once?
  8. Still a pretty low amount of people on such a popular platform. Steam chart numbers, as doom and gloom as they may be, are better than nothing. I'm not a fan of chucking them out there to prove anything substantial because it is an incomplete picture, but WHAT ELSE is there? Seriously, the game is in a pitiful state, and its something that is felt even on populous servers with the waning interest and dying/dead guilds. Yes, guilds come and go as part of the experience, but they've been doing a patchy job at doing jack to get people back. 10th year celebration still, btw.
  9. I've always wanted this emote that we sometimes see npc straight up getting down with, please make this a thing already.
  10. I'll be forward about my personal resistance to this, I enjoy maintaining different server 'identities' and subcultures. Many of the more toxic people I knew when the last set of merges happened went off to SS, including annoying pvpers (being specific as I don't have an issue with pvpers in general, but we ALL know the reputation the populous tends to retain and why), and more PvE minded folk who acted as if roleplay was unnatural, weird or immoral. Its of course no surprise to me that the server that once stood as the height of population in the game fell into shambles after all the entire game's been through, but more so because some of the elements that retained that crowd fell by the wayside while RP, something not subject to constant content drops or balancing issues, continued along. RP, whether it be headcanon with a love of the game's story or active roleplay with other players, is seen as a draw and defining part of Star Forge, and the late, great Ebon Hawk. That part of the server's culture NEVER died out, and I love it. I recall friends from Shadowlands and Harb coming over to try out TEH only to be stunned at the cantina steps fashion line up when it was at its peak. The draw toward cosmetics took such precedent on TEH that we had higher prices for premium sets on the GTN and Op teams made good coin off of the 'lazy, but wealthy' RPers who paid for carries. It was its own distinct experience, and we had a legit reason for being bad at playing (lol). You get my point. But I just want nothing to do with it, regardless of the assumed pros. More PvP pops mean little to me, SF has them plenty at times I play. More Ops means nothing to me because I personally don't care to partake in them as of now and Ops groups have no issue forming when I am on. More alts is something I already can do as I'm pretty far from cap still after a decade. The GTN isn't running dry any time soon on my server. Flashpoints queues are healthy. I am already in guilds that are at their caps (for CQ) and have no issue filling up, or in my private smaller guilds for RP. So far, the presented pros seem meager and offer nothing to enhance my experience. Also, I have copies of my toons and their names on SS from back during the DvL event and would not enjoy needing to rename them and having them on the same legacy. The hope of the stragglers staying for a game that has seen better days is rather cruel to me, I'd prefer people go where they get their money's worth truth be told. There are times where I have to take a break, and it isn't on me. Its a result of disagreements with direction, sluggish content output, poor balancing, unfun 'fixes' while a metric ton of bugs exist, and so on. Same reasons a lot of other people have left, and the thing is, a merge will not fix those issues, or the ones we currently have. Its buying time. Maybe I'd be supportive of it if BW took griefing more serious, fixed ignore not blocking emotes, actually ramped up content production, were positively reactive to qualms with content balance and rewards, and made an effort to advertise so old players and new would return but in the mean time SS players needed the infusion, but I doubt we'll see that for some time considering our current situation. (I don't know, I'm open to pleasant surprises Bioware! ❤) I know this is all selfish, but these are meant to be my personal issues with the idea. On the more practical side... Nah, I really just don't want it.
  11. I'd welcome content of any kind at this point if it were genuinely interesting and engaging enough to warrant the droughts we go through, but even with group content we currently have, its been very hit or miss in terms of quality of experience. Something's bugged? Wait a few months for it to become less of a chore. Poor balancing? Wait a few months, they MIGHT address what the core issue was and hopefully you're still interested in it. Story at least has less obstacles in that we know its going to be easy to consume, critical to going forward so issues are prioritized (usually), and you have more to engage with for your alts. Group content just has too many variables and the devs don't seem to put forth an effort to react to player trends or know what the word incentive means. Nathema could be my favorite piece of MM FP content in game (its quite the opposite) but is there any reason to run a flashpoint that is leagues above Hammer Station when the rewards don't reflect that? No. Its been like this for how long now? Remember the 24/7 TC runs for like a year? Its like BW don't want us to enjoy the full range of their content, so story just makes more sense here imo.
  12. While I'm not excited about anything pertaining to the story at this point, I wouldn't mind more than the drip feed we've been at for quite some time now. Of course I'd have to preface my asking for that with more QoL additions like better options for skipping to such, but it really feels like the game has fallen so far behind the ball.
  13. I never claimed to be the best pvp player nor capable of carrying anyone, but I doubt I'd be the reason for any losses in 8v8 warzones (I never get arenas thankfully). But yeah, great contribution. Pvp is hardly the only activity linked to inflation, something that has long been an issue before the introduction of RPM/OEMs and little is being done to even combat that anyhow. I agree on bringing back expertise, as it would at least play as an equalizer, but how does increasing the quality of the pvp experience not also add to inflation? I'm wondering if you're seeing numbers I'm not seeing. How do you know there's a direct link between pvp weekly completion and the inflation of the crafting mats when there are already a number of factors that also contribute? For one, is it a bad thing that ordinary players also have access to the same materials if they grind it out? Are these the players raising the artificial prices on the mats, or is it the crafters? Or the people who are regular pvpers who earn at a fast rate? How many do you suppose have alts lined up to bring in the frags? What of the influx of credits over the past few years and everything else that has also gone up in price? My point is it is a bit strange to tag inflation as an issue that is directly affected by a single activity and thus a reason for not changing things. I also do take issue with your framing of "giving", when the topic is related to how much has to or should be done to EARN the reward. No one is asking to be given anything, why that framing?
  14. Is Arcaan/Senya still alive? Acina or Jace? Vette or Torian? Koth? If we're going to ask for skips with options, try to cover what we can or we can't complain when/if they do add yet another with a lack of nuance (which is the exact problem with the skips right now). Being a saboteur or loyalist so far has had no impact on anything in the story, so they're just as superficial as the rest of the questions players may care about. You can continue to not care about the previous story all you want, you're perfectly free to, but the previous story always has a potential for knock-on effect later. I rather be able to enjoy the added flavor. For example, I have no clue how much relevance Torian could have to the ongoing Mandalorian arc, but considering the mention regarding his clan, it may be more than he's seen since Kotfe. If I skip a Republic character past Kotet, we know what happens to him rather than everyone's favorite snarky Twi. Let me decide that. If they could make a checklist of pivotal decisions, including romance, and I'd skip my entire legacy forward.
  15. Because more skips instead of addressing people's longstanding issues with them is what we need. I'm for more skips, but they need to allow for some degree of tailoring choices. I'm curious as to how much of the playerbase has even seen Elom or the new Manaan at this point. Skips as they currently exist discourage you from using them because they mess with the one thing we all at least like somewhat: our story.
  16. Would be fantastic if it actually worked for emotes as well.
  17. Please don't give anyone any ideas, I'm begging you.. I'll take the cooperative multiplayer and maybe a competitive one, but that's where I draw the line for Mass Effect. But I'll keep any speculation to a minimum, can't be disappointed if you have no expectations, right? Well, not too badly at least.
  18. Any chance you guys could up the cap on the Prosperity tokens? If I have to continue buying the emote (despite it being in collections still..) and the outfit per toon, at least make it less restricting.
  19. Anything on trying to fix the outfitter changing outfits instead of merely previewing again? Its been grating for 8 months now..
  20. Never before have I seen this despite being a frequent occupant of a spot atop the cantina steps and I'm wondering if this is intended or not. I'm also seeing it all over different spots in the game, like while running Hutta heroics and entering the factories where lighting on the left corridor does the exact same dimming effect. Playing on the same settings as I always have btw. https://youtu.be/j1cgcqCOER8
  21. All of this would be lovely before the update gets pushed. I stopped doing flashpoints all together because of the difference in time to make progress vs GSF and PvP and the balance changes 7.0 came with but would like to at least get back to doing those and being decently rewarded for it. Hoping Bioware are actually still reading this thread too, no downsides to improving the experience based on sensible feedback.
  22. I can understand the "soulless" feeling the new design gives off some, and fully agree that a move to full on verticality has got to be one of the worst parts of this (please let this be very temporary), but I'd mark it as an overall improvement so long as what makes actually reading it a pain is addressed. Old icons for subforums and the two-column layout for them is a must, Leaving it as it is makes extra effort where there was none prior and that would not be an improvement in the least, but I'm giving it time. So far, this is far better than any of the UI changes that were brought to the game itself lol
  23. Yeah, everything is SOOOOO spaced out across my entire screen in a way that makes it straining to read. 3 posts take up my entire screen because of how unnecessarily huge each box for each user is, and there is way too much empty space. Kind of annoyed.
  24. This + Star Forge supremacy must be maintained. It (Ebon Hawk) is in our BLOOD.
  25. I mean, they weren't exactly speaking for anyone else when they expressed their disappointment. I find it non-existent on my list of issues the game has/had, but it seems to be the final straw for them. Mentioning other people who complained about it was only meant to point out the lack of communication pre-change and post-change. No reason to be so dismissive of this, you do have a source for a "majority of players always disabled it anyways"? I'm asking that in earnest, since I legit never noticed this option vanishing or BW mentioning why
