  1. No one's persecuting you for doing goofy things with your money, calm down. I don't know why your assumption is that someone must be broke if they didn't throw money at what is clearly not an enticing deal when just playing the game would result in the same end, but that's not nice (actually reflects poorly that that's where this went first). Nothing wrong with having money and sense.
  2. Sincerely looking forward to seeing what other changes are to come based on the loud feedback. Thank you, Jackie.
  3. 150CC leapfrogs over prior precedent and deserves scrutiny for a companion the season is based around. Had they been 150 from season 1, it would be more acceptable but this increase coincides with the reduction of earnable CC by half, mixed reaction to a season that came late even after a sudden surprise announcement, and in the stream of a dry spell during the most flaccid expansion known to man, beast, or wookie. If nothing's bothering you, do what you say most do and just play.
  4. I support the XP armor idea. Not for a crazy high amount that makes sense only if you engage in a multi-server grind, but high enough that it's a weighty choice. I have 2 sets of it myself but I know it'd be greatly appreciated by players who came after DvL and even those who were around during it but didn't finish. These are easy wins and they're being overlooked in favor of taking constant L's.
  5. I might even announce my next crusade for the Founder title too, now. We're ramping up to go full chaos and I welcome it.
  6. I doubt it, but I haven't done the math. Even if that were the case, it still would accomplish something: player retention and consistent potential for engagement with other aspects of the game. 40 levels is a really dry spell, and the latter intervals make no sense. 8 - 40 - 15 - 15 - 8 - 2? If they were going to screw us, at least have some mathematical flair to it~
  7. I'm sorry but I have no clue why anyone would reward this with an instant buy out. Even with all the money in the world, there's gotta be better things to throw that at lol I actually like the comp and some of the blue weapons, but I can wait to get to them. If I burn out before the credit buyout opens up, I'll just miss out. This expansion and 90% of all the disappointment that's come with it press onward!
  8. A series of rushed, half-baked implementations, a 'modernized' UI that will likely have a handful of bugs that last 3 or 4 patches (so like a year and a half) while the remaining players left grow to accept the faults of the new look and functions, an increase in required mats per item that happens to coincide with a method either old or new to gather easier (but suspiciously leaves us with needing to farm a tiny bit more still), the accidental wiping out of an entire section of schematics players already know but have to pester support to get back, augs that also now open up slots for CM-only tunings. Idk, I'm probably putting more thought into it than what we'll actually get, but its fun to vomit out bad ideas and see how it managed to get one upped.
  9. The packs are legacy bound. Unless you're striking gold on the contents and don't want them, expected to make squat for credits. Correct. And check the breakdown: 200CC - Level 8 200CC - Level 48 400CC - Level 63 400CC - Level 88 400CC - Level 96 400CC - Level 98 What and why is that spread??
  10. I'd take cold hot dog water over packs. CC at least offered you more flexibility in how you spent it. Packs are a gamble and often not worth it. Still less flexibility than CC, but the packs are legacy bound anyway.
  11. Babe wake up, new GS nerf just dropped. 😂
  12. LOL Color me surprised. The deal was TOO GOOD and people could not help themselves but to brag about how they were "gaming the system" by running on multiple servers. I kept telling people they were being a little too loud with it. Even if the devs already had a nerf like this coming, why tempt fate?
  13. The other tacticals being glorified cosmetics don't mean this one that's already been implemented and used for years now has to be. The Bek one and the other Horizon one that gives you a mounting shield momentarily just suck in comparison. Perhaps they should be buffed to compensate for the lack of diversity, but nerfing the little that is good has gotten us where? Before events came around regularly and legacy armor was given out like candy at Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, legacy gear was exceptionally rare and highly coveted. They were not only cosmetics, but had functions that went beyond vanity. Events were far more irregular back then when legacy offhands acted as a legit time saver for farming gear for alts. There was never any expressed concern over when the events should have came back around for the access to legacy gear prior to them becoming regular fixtures and I fail to see how that would change when the swoop event now comes around just as often as the others too. Its a very niche toy anyway, not part of some meta to where it can make or break someone's experience. And no one's stopping anyone from using the more cosmetic based rewards over the more mechanical. Its just that the mechanical mostly suck. So make them not suck. If they returned the speeder protections that some mounts used to have, that would be a plus for whichever tactical they do it for. There's literally no downside to it. In the open world, when leveling, I can't think of a single tactical that is so necessary that I could not give up the slot. If I'm doing MM FPs, Operations, or pvp, I already have no reason to use the tacticals specifically designed for mounts. When leveling my lvl 32 Trooper, who barely has access to anything to qualify as a rotation, you bet I'll slap that bad boy on. If you don't want to use it, like, don't. You're not making much of a difference in most cases with the available tacticals in terms of time in combat with bolster in effect anyway. Speed run or not, the tactical is simply for fun.
  14. I feed off of your negative vibes. Big W for Bioware on this move imo, you had a decade of exclusivity. You'll live.
  15. Razor's Kickstart is literally the best tactical by a mile for leveling characters because of its speedboost. Before it was nerfed, it effectively acted as a taxi and justified touching the event in any meaningful manner for long term benefit. The event itself is actually really fun, though still bugged and could stand to offer better rewards. Without actually worthwhile rewards beyond vanity, its going to wind up as just another recurring thing you can ignore. Which would be a shame, it does a good job of playing on the lore from Swtor's predecessors, adding flavor in terms of writing for the quests, and the achievements which give SOME reason to run them over and over (even if very excessive). Baking the effects into the mounts seems a bit much to me since you'd have to buy one for each toon rather than it being an item that takes up a slot you can always swap it out of. Use the hotbars for necessary tacticals and you'll be fine. For the other items the tacts could be replaced with, just add more to event vendors in general.
  16. @JackieKo @CommunityTeam Anything on this front? I understand that there's a mountain of other things to take care of but, come on. Adjust SOMETHING. And kindly un-nerf the Razor's Kickstart (objectively the only worthwhile tactical reward here).
  17. Correction on that: Auto-unsheathe position. I don't want to have to turn it off every time I open the menu. If anything, it should be default off.
  18. Besides the short nicknames, gear checkbox being auto (would not be expected if this changed itself back on each character upon weekly reset like the Login Rewards menu), the auto-select of outfits still having no option when it was never asked for, the forced alphabetical order and permanent unsheathed position, "no problems" here either. 😒
  19. You're flaunting that a little too much in the open for my liking, as if they couldn't "adjust" how GS 'rewards' us 😒Yeah, we know. Its a good deal right now but some of yall need to cool it.
  20. Wait until you get to Kotet Ch.2 lol You have not felt rage yet. And I am convinced that not a soul at BW tested the difficulties before 7.0 rolled out. Hell, some of the chapters were downright busted BEFORE 7.0.
  21. Didn't they go through the weird phase of making them bind to legacy though? No idea why it happened but it was, as usual, an unnecessary complication last I remember. https://forums.swtor.com/topic/888416-bounty-contracts-no-longer-legacy-bound-kingpins-unpurchasable-on-alts/ I see a few threads about the change, but either way, they stand as an exception, no?
  22. They can be sold, I reckon, because the type of content they're tied to. A better alternative than restricting them to legacies and requiring people to rerun flashpoints for the currencies, unlike the event-based currencies that rely on regular player engagement to remain relevant over time.
  23. Curious if you ever found a fix for this? I've done nothing different or updated anything before this came about and everything since has done nothing in rectifying the issue. Not entirely sure what to do being that there hasn't been numerous complaints about it and BW not acknowledging it.
  24. I would like to thank you guys in advance for un-nerfing Razor's Kickstart, really. Its been a staggeringly rough year but this one act of pure kindness and justice really has me near speechless. Always happy to applaud one of my favorite games taking any and every chance to refocus on the fun factor that so many great franchises seem quick to discard these days. High fives all around, team!
