  1. I'm guessing it will be released with the barber shop that allows you to change race so more people will buy it for their mains.
  2. Honestly the ilum power leveling was the most social the game has ever been. When I'm questing everyone just does there own thing and never speaks. For makeb they should have gone away from the traditional questing route, had a planetary story line and then added in "events" like GW2 had going. I think that would have been very cool and bring in more social gaming.
  3. Of course it isn't accurate. They may buff snipers to make them more attractive but they sure didn't nerf marauders because no one played one rofl You'd have to be pretty silly to believe any company balances classes based on something like that.
  4. I don't think people realize how much of a gear gap recruit to war hero is. Even if you're an amazing player, a sub par player in war hero can kill your recruit alt. It's really stupid. So people most likely just don't even try because it's just a headache.
  5. You don't actually kill the emperor. Just the emperor's "Voice"
  6. People worked for those levels, they didn't "afk" On my server, if you afk'd in the group, they would kick you and get someone else because the speed of the leveling was directly in line with how many people were participating. Faster mob kills = more experience. They won't roll back characters, or ban anyone because they didn't do anything when people exploited valor at launch. It's not even an exploit, it's just a clever way of getting fast experience. The whole point of the double xp weekends is to get more people max level so they can be 50 for the new expansion. They also will make more money off the cartel market from all the people buying xp boosts and items for their new 50s. It's a win-win for Bioware, and if they did a rollback or banned any of these players, it would only hurt them. To be honest, it just seems like everyone else against this, either didn't know about it till now or didn't get invited to a group and they're mad.
  7. I think they're going to be fighting over control of the planet as well as fighting the hutt cartel but I'm not 100% on that one.
  8. Going to ilum and farming the gree pylon heroic mission. They just keep spawning and you get about 5 levels an hour.
  9. The only thing wrong with these "mortality games" is that no matter what you choose, you get the same outcome. If you have the choice to kill someone but you let them live, you never see them again. They never come back later in the story to help you or anything.
  10. I'm having a hard time deciding between operative, assassin or vengeance juggernaut. I'm only interested in dpsing and I was wondering out of 3, which is looking better so far for 2.0?
  11. Is anyone experiencing this? Maybe I have a setting on that I'm not aware of such as ability queue or something. It is incredibly annoying and is probably the only complaint I have about this game. I'll be fighting enemies then I go to use a stun or damaging ability and randomly it just consumes the global by activating the global cool down but the ability doesn't happen nor does it go on CD. Any ideas?
  12. Anyone know where I can find a helmet that will go under a hood for an inquisitor?
  13. I would like at least the ability to change my race. I don't think AC change would be good for the game, but I wouldn't be against it.
  14. The next time you log in after your sub runs out, you'll be greeted with a screen telling you you're a preferred player and it will show you exactly what you lose going from subbed to preferred.
  15. This is the main problem and reason why more MMOs aren't f2p, people like this think that people that would try the game when it's free are "freeloaders" When in reality, maybe people just stay away from sub based MMOs because they feel obligated to play the game when it costs them money per month. When it's free, you can play whenever you like and buy things from the shop as you see fit. I know a few people that play lord of the rings online, and they refused to play world of warcraft because they're married and would feel obligated to play wow everyday because they're spending money per month on it. They actually spend more money in the shop per month than they would paying a sub, but it's just the thought behind paying money to access your characters I guess. A lot of people will flame SWTOR/EA/bioware for going f2p, but I think going forward almost every MMO will follow this model because companies just don't put out enough content to warrant the 15$ a month payment.
  16. The mechanics of older games are just severely outdated. While the story is amazing in my opinion for kotor, after playing through it a few times, the story just doesn't make up for the outdated mechanics because you've already sen what's going to happen. I actually bought it on steam a month before SWTOR release and couldn't finish it.
  17. Even when Marauders become the weakest class in the game, they will still have the persona of being "overpowered" and whenever someone dies to one they'll just say to you "shut up newb, ur just an op class111!" It's kind of like the Death Knight in World of Wacraft. Once you're established as a pvp powerhouse, they will cry for nerfs until you're the weakest class in the game which no one plays any more and then you'll be considered "balanced" It's why Developers shouldn't cave into the complaining of the masses because the masses suck at gaming and will whine about anything that kills them or takes more than 1 attempt to finish.
  18. Just because one company chooses to nickel and dime their customers doesn't mean EVERY game is like that. Also a free to play game is totally different than a buy to play game. Just to paint a picture for you based on your subscription MMOs and Guild Wars. You pay 15$ a month to play a game like SWTOR, and it takes them at least 4-6 months to release a content update that is usually just a new raid, daily hub and sometimes a new warzone with fluff items like "legacy" or pets/mounts. So 60$ of your money has gone to pay for this "update" Well, in that time Guild Wars released an expansion that you could choose not to buy because every expansion was a stand alone game that wasn't required to purchase because they didn't raise the level cap. In which each expansion gave you an entire content of new missions, new classes, alliance battles, factions etc for the same price. Do you honestly believe Sub based MMOs are giving you your moneys worth? I just don't understand the logic that people have that they get so insulted that another game coming out might actually be better? I honestly don't believe that SWTOR was worth 15$ a month, unfortunately I bought a 6 month sub because I didn't think and now I regret it. The only sub based MMO that deserves the sub in my honest opinion based on content updates alone is Rift. They actually put tons of content out there and try really hard to please their player base. This is the kind of fun stuff Arenanet does, and will continue to do after launch. You can't tell me that isn't fun! They made this event in the span of 12 hours also, can't wait to see what they can do when they actually put significant time into one!
  19. What is endgame? Is end game grinding dailies, doing Raids and dungeons? If so then no, Guild Wars probably isn't a game you should play. If endgame is something like exploring towns, doing puzzle events to get chests, partaking in World vs World vs World battles with 3 entire servers against eachother, or Structured pvp tournaments then hell yeah GW2 has end game content. The best part about GW2 is, it isn't a boring grind fest with a carrot on a stick, all end game armor is purely cosmetic and doesn't require a 6 month grind to be competitive. The main reason the MMO genre is so stagnant these days is because everyone wants just a carbon copy of the last big MMO ie: raids, grinding dailies and dungeons, that's boring. I can't speak for you but I'm burnt out on raiding and grinding dungeons. I want a world that is worth exploring and FUN things to do. Guild Wars 2 developers have captured this feeling and they don't even require a sub fee. What end game content does SWTOR have this is so super awesome and worthy of your 15$?
  20. uh...yes it does.. lmao It may not have traditional MMO end game ie: grinding dailies, doing "heroic" dungeons and raids but it most certainly has end game content. Guild Wars 1 had endgame content, despite what many people who never played the game say. They just also rushed everyone to max level so 90% of the game was considered endgame. The thing I really don't understand is people pay 15$ a month to play WoW or SWTOR for example, and what content do you really get? is it worth 15$ a month? Is 1 warzone 1 raid and a new daily hub worth 60$ to you? It takes AT LEAST 4 months for these two companies to release this content if not more. Rift is probably the only sub based MMO worth it. Yet Guild Wars 1 released entire expansions for 40$ every 6 months yet it's not okay? Think about what you're actually paying for.
  21. lol @ people bashing GW2 that clearly have never played it. Blindly hating something because it's your competition is hilarious. If you honestly think pvp players will return to this game after GW2 comes out then you're more delusional than I thought. PVP in this game is a complete mess. I honestly can't think why someone would play SWTOR for pvp other than just being a Star Wars fan. WoW offers a better PVP system. GW2 pvp is very polished and balanced and done RIGHT with no gear grinds. WvW is a place you can get sucked in to for 12 hours without even noticing. It's what Ilum should have been. Say what you will about GW2 but you're only hurting yourself by not giving it a chance. You can even play GW2 and SWTOR together without costing you anything extra per month.
  22. Regardless of your opinion on GW2, ArenaNet definitely knows how to communicate with their playerbase.
  23. It's a sad day when 3600 over 3 seconds is considered "a lot of damage" It goes to show that no matter how obvious games are team based, people still try to be rambo
