  1. This Monty Python sketch sums up how I feel about SW:TOR.
  2. RuQu... What's shakin? 32 days left on the subscription. Guild is officially polling members about alternate games to play. Still lovin' Tera? Axx
  3. - We have lost some members from grinding burn out. Some of these folks may come back after some time to chill, which kinda speaks volumes about the game, but let's not digress. - We have lost some players to other games. - We have had some guild in-fighting over PvE versus PvP which caused a bit of a shake out. - At our peak we had a total of 250 toons or roughly 50-60 active members. Now we are down to 65 active toons and 20-30 members. Where as we used to be able to easily roll a 16 RAID, now we struggle to get 8 "geared" ducks in a row and have yet to clear EC/Denova (which is sad). - We are still recruiting, either by inviting in members from other guilds which have collapsed, or by reaching out to unguilded players. Problem... it really does feel like the game is losing many higher quality players. And those good players who remain are very cynical about SW:TOR and are on much shorter "rage timers". - What's our future? We are polling members regarding alternate games to play. General consensus, we care more about staying together & playing something fun, rather than necessarily continuing to play SW:TOR. - We are on the The Swiftsure which has not suffered as much as some servers, but it still far below a healthy population level.
  4. Hey, a better solution would be to have MAGID use an email list of the subscribed & unsubscribed players, and solicit feedback from as many players as would reply. Hey, another idea, have MAGID review the feedback offered by players who have unsubscribed. Then again, maybe they are only after positive feedback, which further explains the lack of any player retention effort.
  5. I believe the actual term used inside BW/EA is 2-3 subscription crits.
  6. I disagree... all of the raw feedback is here. Certainly you and BW/EA can continue to suggest comments posted on these forums is not representative of subscriber sentiment, i.e. just the H8s posting. I would agree there may be a large population of subscribers which never post, however there are plenty of "reasonable" dissenters posting on these forums. Although more and more of the reasonable dissenters voices are going silent due to being ignored.
  7. Pretty sure a nerf is not in the cards. Why? I haven't rolled and leveled one yet.
  8. IMHO, it's a scam. Why pay $100 for feedback which is just oozing from these forums? If it's not a scam, why pay $100 for feedback which is just oozing from these forums? MAGID ... read the forums. Dig deep and find all of the threads which have been closed. You have to be subscribed to the game to post in these forums so ALL comments are from current/past subscribers. For as much as it might hurt, these forums represent the RAW data you need to slap BW/EA in the face, and awake them from their coma. I'd like to know who hatched this idea of a paid group of feedback givers in NYC. Sounds like an attempt at cherry picking feedback to be presented to company stakeholders, making sure to get the feedback story just right, so those who deserve to be fire are not fired. Again, there is no need or merit to pay a select group of people to provide feedback on the game. Rather, such a move might even be considered just another manifestation of the anti-subscriber culture at BW/EA.
  9. LOL. agree or disagree, his reviews are fun to watch.
  10. This comment may be closer to the truth and cause than anything I have read so far. Porting SW:TOR to consoles would indeed be the ultimate slap in the face to the current subscriber base. Only problem I see, SW:TOR is not even as graphically efficient as the average console game so good luck with that plan. Although, such a move might indeed find more SHEEP willing to pay fees to play an incomplete game.
  11. Outer Rim: Rise of the Stench Due to the rising costs of modification, Imperial citizens have not been changing their shorts on a regular basis. Sith Lord Ba'con of the Strip Legacy has been sent to find a solution for the growing incidence of Stinky Pants on the Fleet and Star Ports across the galaxy. Lord Ba'con will have to sniff out and defeat senior galactic crafter Skid M'arcs who is responsible for the rising modification prices. The final boss fight will drop BM gear.
  12. Our guild has officially decided to begin playing some other games. We have not yet decided what alternate games we will play, but we have basically concluded we will lose too many members if we stay focused on SW:TOR. We all basically agree many of the newer games will be released with features SW:TOR only promises for future patches, and waiting/paying subscriber fees while SW:TOR slowly rolls out needed fixes/features is truly insulting. We will let our collective subscriptions wind down, but there is an interest in getting onto something new, particularly regarding PvP. At some point we may resubscribe, but we all know how that goes. If we are having fun playing a better game it may be hard to get members to come back to SW:TOR.

  14. Who can add augments? Every one or just specific crafts?
  15. If BW/EA does try a solution which involves subscribers paying a fee to move somewhere it will be the final proof of just how delusional and out of touch BioWare/EA are. Although, I am sure there are some subscribers who will pay a transfer fee and find some way to justify their payment. I am trying to be careful to not be overly cynical, but it really does seem like BW/EA are going out of their way to see how far they can go push subscribers, believing they will put up with anything. Apparently BW/EA are in serious denial regarding the number of subscribers who have already quit. So the over all picture just looks more grim as time goes by.
  16. I'm not clear on the intent of your post/response. You seem to say you are happy with the change to Commando healer mechanics, and then opine about not having enough breathing room and racing agains time. Bottom line for me, the only time I am ever asked to run as healer is when there are no SORC/OP healers available. And given the number of folks leaving the game and leaving servers, there are fewer SORC/OP healers so I do have the chance to heal. However, I have to listen to players say how my class sucks, blah, blah, blah... I'm sorry, the experience is no longer fun. And when you consider I'm PAYING to play this game, is just more of an intellectual insult. I unsubscribed with patch 1.2. I have time left as my subscription winds down and the free 30 days kicks in. There are game changes which would cause me to reconsider subscribing to the game, but nothing they plan to offer in 1.3. Maybe 1.4 will have some things worth looking at the game again, but I should be away from the game well before 1.4 is tested/released. I was considering posting which changes might make me resubscribe, but then the list started getting so long, and I started getting a headache thinking about it. The only thing that keeps me logging back into the game is playing with guild mates. As we slow bleed guild members, pretty soon this reason for playing will be gone. Maybe some time in the future, the game might be worth playing again, however for now BioWare seems to have done just about everything they can to discourage as many players as possible... which is quite an achievement.
  17. HEY, what kinda of trouble maker are you? Can't you see we want to QQ without any interference from "happy" subscribers? Seriously though, congrats on your positive game experience.
  18. Well, if they do finally offer an eye patch, an orange crit [augmented] version would be nice.
  19. I unsubscribed because my Parrot did not come with an eye patch. Arrrgggghhhh! Seriously though, I unsubbed with patch 1.2 and see no reason to resub just yet. Counting the free 30 days, I have around 60 days of play time left. I'm hoping BW/EA can pull a rabbit out of their ***. I won't waste reiterating the numerous reasons folks have given for their displeasure with the game except to say I share many of the same complaints/concerns.
  20. I agree... running Merc healing with Torian is a great combo. Even running Merc Arsenal/Pyrotech and off healing Torian is very strong.
  21. Pay BW/EA $$$ to move to another server? It's not gonna happen. I unsubscribed from the game with patch 1.2 and have 30+ days + 30 day free left on my play time clock. The question is not if I'll pay to move toons from a dead server. The question is will I resubscribe when my play clock runs out. BW/EA charging subscribers to move to other servers would be a good reason to quit the game. Certainly they could limit the number of FREE transfers, but there must be free transfers to help rebuild populations onto functional servers.
  22. Personally, I unsubscribed from the game with the release of patch 1.2. I have 30+ days before my playtime expires, maybe a bit more if the free 30 days kicks in after that. I have a number of things which must be fixed/released before I will spend another $.01 on this game and Dual Spec is one of them. Given the drop in server population and the difficulty if building raid groups, Dual Spec is absolutely needed as part of the solution. Also, I should not have to spend an increasingly higher respec cost in order to help my primary character fill a needed role within a raid group. So, Bioware can do whatever it wants, but if they want any more $$$ from me, they have some work to do.
  23. Hey, until my subscription actually runs out, I have every right to post here, unless BioWare/EA wants to refund my $$$. The sad thing, if there were fewer fanbois like you, maybe subscribers would receive better treatment in general. Regarding what constitutes constructive comments... here is a constructive comment... Hey BioWare, your screwing up my game play and I don't like it. You're in business to make money. Do the math... Unneeded class nerfs = unhappy gamers. Unhappy gammers = lost subscriptions. Lost subscriptions = you make less money. Making less money = unhappy shareholders There is a reason server populations are dropping, guilds are shutting down and it's becoming harder to find groups for FP/OP/Questing. Do the Math!
