  1. I think you are reading it w/ an.... optimistic eye. LOL.
  2. I didn't register until Sept; if I had purchased in July and didn't get in today,.... I don't know what I would have done. I'm sorry. (Not being sassy).
  3. Ya know, that banner is still on their add too.... lol
  4. I was honestly expecting this, in favor of the Empire. I'd love to see some #'s.
  5. Stop being insulting, I never said I wasn't going to play the game so your last comment is just silly. The above happened to WoW - that is very true, ppl whined, and complained, and STAYED, and subs grew and grew. I'm not disputing that. But what about all those MMO's that came after WoW, the next "wow killer" if you will. People didn't stay, people went back to WoW. I wish TOR luck, I really do, I'm not against the game or anything, but I think its a valid concern.
  6. Dude, I'm NOT counting, but we were discussing PR and how this is going to play out vs WoW's launch when there was server lag and queues and crashes, etc etc. I think people perceive that they are waiting and when you're talking about customer service, perception is important. Thats all I'm saying.
  7. I know that, I was one of them, but AFTER those 1-2 hours you waited EACH DAY to play, how many hours did you get in each day? Thats my point.
  8. They waited for 1-2 hours, some of these people will probably be waiting for 3-4 days. We will see.
  9. Well, I think what BW may have failed to realized is that while they were trying to avoid these massive server queues, that is after all what people are actually used to. Many people would probably wait in a queue for 4 hours rather than be locked out for 24 hours. I mean, if they're watching the #'s count down in a queue, they something tangible that tells them their status - as is - as you said, it has been rather 'uncommunicative'. I'm not sure which way I think is 'best' but this certainly has created a lot more outrage than I've seen at other launches were people sat in long queues - maybe cuz thats what they knew to expect.
  10. If they wanted to see how the coming-home-from work/school crowd would play out, I totally understand that, but by now, the populations should have stabilized. I don't understand why they won't throw out some more invites.
  11. I agree, if the co-founders of BW say, "the game has launched".... thats good enough for me.
  12. Not going to troll you, it is the truth... The question remains if they will keep enough to survive. Many of the people that matriculate from WoW will probably go back, that has been the trend w/ other big "wow killer" mmo's. As is, I'm not really sure, I think it is more likely that history will repeat itself, but only time will tell.
  13. I'm behind the times and dont follow Twitter, could u be more specific?
  14. Ya know, I've heard that before and I've never understood why that is. I mean, take Origin for example, if you assume that the VGCharts include their sales for CE and Standard Edition, then why, if they're already reporting their sales, don't they report the DDE sales. I'm not saying your wrong, like I said, I've heard that before, I just don't understand why they wouldn't report data on their digital sales.
  15. Those #'s surprise me, I thought there would be way more in July, but from the looks of it August was their big 'early' month. I hope they keep their "each wave will be larger than the last" thing going, otherwise I'll never get in, lol.
  16. I don't see Sept.... are you missing a line or are the end of Aug and Sept all bunched in w/ the Oct? Not being a smart *****, I'm just curious about Sept cuz thats when I ordered and I'd like to see those numbers too.
  17. I really don't understand why they have closed invites for the day. I understand that they want to wait until they see how the coming-home-from work/school crowd hits the servers, but they should have a pretty good idea of their evening traffic situation by 8:00-10:00 PM. Why not start letting more people in then? Why wait until the next morning? Thoughts?
  18. w/ a cat and full-blown purr motor going in my lap as I type, I know exactly what you mean.... I hate it when they type or play the game for me, lol
  19. Studying for finals, or at least I SHOULD be, instead of reading forums.... lol.
  20. Well but if you read past that first sentence there.... later on in the article it distinctly uses that oh-so-important PAST TENSE..... "The game is launched, but it’s not done"
  21. I'm sure that Ray Muzyka & Greg Zeschuk, Co-Founders of BioWare appreciate your input, but they did, in fact, call today a launch. http://www.swtor.com/blog/welcome-star-wars-old-republic
  22. I can't believe I'm going to post this again, but... I really wish people would stop getting their *** hairs up over the use of the word LAUNCH. My god, even BW said "This is a big day for us; we are launching Star Wars™: The Old Republic™" - see that word in there..... launching. http://www.swtor.com/blog/welcome-star-wars-old-republic

  24. I don't understand what makes one pre-order any more valuable than the next, regardless of the time frame.
