  1. Sparta, Napoleon's French Empire, England with Cromwell as Lord Protector, Russia, China et al would all like a word with you. If you mean SW societies, well there are plenty of examples there too.
  2. The original exiled Jedi came to Korriban and the Sith worshipped them as Gods, then they overthrew King Hakagram and declared themselves Sith Lords and rulers of the Sith people. They interbred with the native Sith until no "pureblood" exists in. I'd say Humans are on equal footing in the Sith command structure, if not slightly higher.
  3. I kind of feel like a jerk for saying this but it is a huge pet peeve of mine, its not DLC its expansion(s). Ok, technically, it is DLC if we are going with downloadable content and not disc locked content definitions; but for us old schoolers they will always be expansions as it applies to MMORPGS. Now that I have that out of the way... Class stories end after Chapter III. Sure you get a few bits of dialogue that are class specific but basically its a one size fits all theme for the rest of the expansions. Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn't as per the story. Guess its one of the prices we paid for SWTOR going F2P. I still enjoy the game though.
  4. Droids can't use the Force. Its that simple. If they brought in Droids, it would either lock out 4 classes or BW just saying bollocks to the lore(can't see them going quite that far). So, I'm pretty confident with the never part of my statement, even without the dev comments to back me up.
  5. Wookiees* People never spell that correctly, makes me laugh at the hundreds of guilds that have it spelled wrong. Its been stated that it will never happen, same with droids. We have ONE, that's a big 1, example of a Wookiee force user in canon, 4 if you count Legends. Bioware's reason, however, is due to romance options.
  6. Good Gravy. If we go by the old canon guidelines, the EU was never G-Canon; only the movies, movie novelizations, and a few other things were G-Canon. G-Canon was Word of God. Considered absolute canon, it included Episodes I–VI (the released films at that time), and any statements by George Lucas (including unpublished production notes from him or his production department that are never seen by the public). Elements originating with Lucas in the scripts, filmed deleted scenes, film novelizations, reference books, radio plays, and other primary sources were also G-canon when not in contradiction with the released films. G-canon overrided the lower levels of canon when there was a contradiction. T-Canon comes before the EU for crying out loud. T-canon was Television canon:[7] referred to the canon level comprising only the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the two television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Its precedence over C-Level canon was confirmed by Chee They rest was up in the air and got decided upon by Leyland Chee after he was appointed by GL. C-canon was Continuity canon: consisting of materials from the Star Wars expanded universe including books, comics, and games bearing the label of Star Wars. Games and RPG sourcebooks were a special case; the stories and general background information were themselves fully C-canon, but the other elements such as character/item statistics and gameplay were, with few exceptions, N-canon
  7. 1. BioWare didn't make KOTOR 2, Obsidian Entertainment did. BioWare just peripherally supervised it and added input. They can't/won't help. You can hope for an anniversary edition re-release, but I doubt that will happen. 2. Do you mean it was updated for the OS X and Linux versions and support for Steam Workshop? Or do you mean the "patch"? The KOTOR 2 "patch" was fan created, designed and coded based off of cut content and such. Completely community driven.
  8. I can tell your career choice is not in the game industry. Sure, it seems simple but is far more complicated than that. Lets assume, the character design team has absolutely nothing on their plate(unlikely as they are probably already working on things at least 3-6 months down the line), first you have to wait for someone to approve the idea, then the art department comes up with a ridiculous amount of designs, then you wait for the designs to get approval, then you can begin. But Rodians are already in the game, you say? Sure, generic ones. If you want them as player species, you have to create multiple different facial and species aspects to make them semi unique. Can they use standard complexions/coloring etc from other species? Absolutely, it will save time and money. But you still need designs unique to the species. Hell, Cathar probably took so long due to hair/fur being one of the most difficult things to put into a game.(seriously, it is). All of this takes time and even though it sounds simple to those with careers outside of the game industry, we're talking months if not longer.
  9. ^Correct. Coruscant is filled with skytowers that go from Level 1 to Level 5127. That's pretty massive.
  10. The JK never killed the Emperor, just his Voice. This was always the case. I'm not sure if anything else regarding Vitiate/Valkorian changed much storywise from how they planned; I do remember from back in beta/release the dev team saying they had 10 years of stories/expansions planned out and being worked on. Obviously some of those 10 year plans may have changed when they went F2P, but I bet not by much. Sure, not much is shown about Arcann and the way he is except for the severe Daddy issues. We may find something else about him that sheds light on his behavior and motivation; or he may just continue to be Stereotypical Masked Villian Trope.
  11. As former specialized military, I've been in countries that my home country isn't allowed more times than I can count with no one being the wiser. It really isn't that hard, especially if you have superior or on par technology and the proper training.
  12. I really don't mean to sound like a jerk here, i 'm trying to follow along, but the broken English replies are throwing me for a loop. Any native speaker care to put the replies in a coherent form so I can contribute?(I appreciate non native English speakers using the forum but sometimes it's just incoherent)
  13. No Jedi in this film but possibly a Dark Jedi/Inquisitor? If you look at 1:20 in the trailer there is a black cloaked figure kneeling with two of the Imperial Guardsmen in the background.
  14. Not so sure the age part caused the suspicion, more like the sig in its entirety.
  15. The dev livestream says that the new Dashade is not meant to replace Khem at all. Looks like you will be getting him back, just probably not until season 2 of KotFE.
  16. I personally have no problem with gray Jedi but I am always reminded of how it is an EU/Legends thing. GL intended for the Force to have Dark/Light and that's it. Point at Qui-Gon all you want, but he was intended as a light sider. But like I said, I have no problem with gray Jedi. If we were living in the SW universe I'd wager the gray population would far outnumber the Jedi or Sith.
  17. Fair point, but even LS Sith characters still use iconic dark side abilities. Granted it is mostly game play mechanics but some in cutscenes.
  18. You'll get Khem back eventually. April dev podcast said the new Dashade is not meant to replace Khem at all. I'm guessing season 2 of KotFE is when he will return.
  19. You should probably hold on to it, as the hilt has the buffs for fighting Arcann. Read the tooltip when you scroll over the weapon.
  20. Manny dignitaries use elite special operations as bodyguards on top of their already top tier bodyguards. I se nothing special about it. The level of paranoia often dictates the size of the contigent. It harkens to the movies, so yet another reason to use them from a dev standpoint.
  21. She lost to Malgus once and pretty much lost the second until Jace Malcom's timely intervention. She also stated she was terrified to face Malgus again. That being said, Satele is more powerful than most give her credit for. I like Marr better, but I'd give the win to Satele. EDIT: I was wrong about the age/exp advantage, apparently Marr is 3 years older than Satele.
  22. Just ran an SI through, maybe used an xp boost 4-5 times, weaved in a few heroics. Nothing else and was 65 by Corellia. The SI was sitting for quite some time so I'm not sure how much rested xp he had or what the cap is for it. People using all the xp perks and running heroics are reporting hitting level cap by Tatooine so it isn't too far of a stretch to be 65 by Corellia without them.
