  1. I'd say less arrogance and more so pride, but we agree the Jedi let themselves be blinded. The Jedi Order at that time really did not follow it's own code. So prideful and set in their ways that they ultimately failed themselves and the Republic, even without the Chosen One I think Sidious could have wiped them out easily.
  2. While The Chosen One certainly accelerated the Jedi Order's defeat and fall, the ROTS novelization has Yoda stating that the main reason for their defeat and inability to detect the Sith until it was too late was that the Order had been stagnant and training to fight the same old war for 1000 years while the Sith had watched, adapted and evolved.
  3. You get Scourge after Revan is rescued in the timeline of events. You going back to run it with Scourge in your party has no effect on the timeline or the story. The fail here was on your part, not Bioware's.
  4. I don't think it's just Jedi, the whole human lifespan seems to be longer in the SWU. I think Han Solo says somewhere in the NJO books that humans typically live to be around 150 years(really this is just a plot device used to explain how people like Luke,Leia, and Han can still do all the jaw dropping heroic stuff at their ages in the NJO)
  5. Most likely, but the interview with Hall Hood seemed to hint at Malgus' apprentice being severely pissed off at us for killing him being the continuation of that particular story arc. Whether they put her in the actual game and have her hunting us or it plays out in the new SWTOR:Annhilation novel is another story, but it would be interesting considering his apprentice, Karrid, is currently in command of the superweapon Capital ship, the Ascendant Spear and could make for a fun FP or Operation
  6. Kallig was a Sith Lord during the Old Sith Empire, specifically during Tulak Hord's reign. That era was dominated by Human,Near-Human,Sith and Hybrid Sith Lords. Using your reasoning, Pureblood OR Human would be the better answer.
  7. Why all the doom and gloom when the EU has been specifically stated by Lucas, Chee and others at LA as being in a parallel universe to the movie universe(incluing TCW tv series) for years now? Sometimes the two universes run together as in novelizations of the movies, specific characters and the like, but they are meant to not intrude on each other. Any reboot, remake,or expansion of the movies Disney does, no matter how bad or good, will take place in the Movie Universe and not the EU. The sky isn't falling, EU fans, and if you are lucky Disney may elevate some of our favorite EU stories up in canon by adding them to the Movie Universe. Just because inevitably someone will ask for a source : "There are two worlds here," explained Lucas. "There’s my world, which is the movies, and there’s this other world that has been created, which I say is the parallel universe—the licensing world of the books, games and comic books. They don’t intrude on my world, which is a select period of time, [but] they do intrude in between the movies. I don’t get too involved in the parallel universe." "When I said [other people] could make their own Star Wars stories, we decided that, like Star Trek, we would have two universes: My universe and then this other one. They try to make their universe as consistent with mine as possible, but obviously they get enthusiastic and want to go off in other directions."
  8. Wut? Halloween is derived from Samhain, which was a Gaelic traditional celebration marking the end of the harvest and beginning of the winter season. The Gaelic people hailed from Europe, specifically Ireland,Scotland,Wales,Britain and parts of mainland Europe. No idea what you were going for there, but Native Americans aren't offended by Halloween and the only holiday where they might be remotely offended would be Thanksgiving, and it actually gives importance to the Native Americans role in helping the colonists. I am Irish by birth, with a half blooded Native American father, and am an American citizen on paper and am offended by none of the holidays. You sir, are just plain wrong and uninformed. Attempt your Yankee bashing elsewhere please and have a nice day.
  9. Even with GL retired he stills controls the IP ubtil his death; depending on laws in the state where his actual residence the IP will remain in control of his selected "guardian" for 25-75 years after his death. So yeah, he still is active in the SWU (see TCW t.v. show) and still passes along decisions on what he may like, not like, will not tolerate in the SWU and the LA employees and licensees have to listen.
  10. I think you are misremembering here. As far back as beta they were saying that real holidays would not be events in TOR because they had no place in the Star wars setting. They said they had no current plans to include them. Wookiee Life Day maybe canon but it is an abomination and if it makes it into TOR I will immediately begin construction on my personal Death Star. Anyone know how to build a superlaser with household components? Nevermind, i Googled it.
  11. I always viewed it as the actual Purebloods are haughty a-holes who believe themselves to be genetically superior to anyone, including humans and hybrids, due to their increasing rarity; but that a "Purebloods are the apex of Sith" is not a systemic attitude in the Empire. If that were the case I doubt they would have human DC members. As for the original question, I would exclude Purebloods as they are not a slave species;and from a personal view I would exclude Humans(despite some of them being slaves, they are one of the "elite" of the Sith) and Twi'lek due to the lack of lekku on your ancestor. The other species fit well, because they are viewed as slave species by the ruling elite. My Sin and Sorc are both Chiss, because I like the Chiss and they fall into the non-elite and outsider status that fits perfectly with the overall SI rise to power.
  12. it's also said the Entity tried to wipe out millions through the Force around 300 years ago. As for the Entity not sounding like Kreia, easy they couldn't use the original voice actor for whatever reason. Not looking like her, well it has been 300 years, people do like to change their looks from time to time and perhaps being "killed" and then becoming the Entity has altered her appearance. Vowrawn could have been using hyperbole for all we know. I can easily see how people can connect the Entity to Kreia given their proclivity for Force visions, the timeline for when Kreia and the Entity tried their hand at taking down the Force. Tenuous connections, but i can still see it.
  13. All Purebloods aren't Force Sensitive, there is at least one on Voss and probably more out there. To the others, Purebloods aren't more respected than Humans, just more than the other species. Actual Purebloods are slowly being bred out, so pure genetic lineage is considered more important than a hybrid one.
  14. Starkiller is canon. The over the top stuff is game mechanics and is not canon. if you want a clearer vision of Starkiller and his "realistic" Force usage, read the TFU books;he's a lot less Force God in them.
  15. By comments made by Albert Pena in various media like interviews and magazines. He didn't create Ruin(GL did) but he is the one picked to expand upon him. From what I remember he just said there were remnants of Sith still around and Ruin united them and brought them into his Empire. It's pretty much speculation on whether these Sith were leftovers from the Old Sith wars or Vitiate's Empire; due to the timeline though it seems more likely there are from vitiate's.
  16. This seems to be the SWTOR version of the Murloc channel spam game in WoW. Funny the first 10 minutes, boring soon after.
  17. Niman and Jar'kai are closely related, Niman is an official Lightsaber Form but both Niman and Jar'kai come from pre-lightsaber fighting techniques that heavily used 2 blades. In the beginings of Niman, it was focused on dual blades, but over time it appeared to appeal more to those that use single blades for some reason. The only people I can reliably recall using 2 blades or double bladed weapons using Niman are Exar Kun and the one Master Jedi from KOTOR II(what was his name? Dang it, that's going to bug me now). The rest of the dual wielding characters we have seen in canon all seem to use Ataru,Juyo or as their preferred Form or situationally used Jar'kai. You're right, Jar'kai is kind of a blanket term for dual blade/saber fighting but it is a bit of a misnomer as Ataru has a dual blade variant.
  18. Gray=you will not gain skill ups by crafting that item. it is below your current skill level. Green=Current skill level, You will either receive minimal or no skill ups by crafting it. Yellow=Just above current skill level, you will receive minimal to average skill ups from it. Orange=Above current skill level, you will receive more skill ups by crafting these.
  19. Kun was a Niman Master, but he differed a bit from the others by using his double bladed saber, application of the Form and his use of Jar'kai. If memory serves, he used to wipe the floor with other Padawans and Jedi using standard Niman but would be beaten by his Master;he then used Jar'kai and soundly defeated his Master and practically anyone else that got in his path.
  20. I've never really understood the reasoning for Sorc heals being 8 man and Ops being 4. I realize that the Op AoE moves with the target and that people have to stand in the Sorc's hot tub to be healed, but since they are both dumb AoE heals the advantage goes to the Sorc. Smart heal AoEs might be a good way to go.
  21. No offense intended here, but 'your" player bounty idea has been brought up numerous times since beta, mostly by former SWG players. It's a really nice idea but it has already been shot down by BW because A. it has way too much potential for griefing and harassment and B. kind of hard to implement on a PvE server.
  22. It would be dependent on the Form used and would also be on a person by person basis. It;s subjective. You can't really say one is stronger than the other in a general sense because each has it's pros and cons and each could be more potent or less formidable as it applies to any given person.
  23. After that, Mandalorians somehow became demigods who swat around Jedi and Sith like they are gnats and skip around the galaxy making the Force users cower whenever possible. Bloody awful storytelling imho.
  24. 1st Spoiler: 2nd Spoiler: Nothing contradictory there, you just missed some things.
