  1. I can live with the mechanics on bossfights although it would be nice to see more ailities from bosses to melees that can be avoided, but I really really really hate all the knockbacks by every single trashmob in the entire game in any fp or op. I mean, take Toth and ZZorn were mentioned and it's a pretty good example - you dps zorn you get insane amounts of dmg when the leap hits, unless you charge at toth or something like that or you dps on toth and you constantly take ae dmg for absolutey no good reason but wanting your grp to have a ranged instead of melee there. Soa is another example (mostly because of the bug that you can't charge him after the first phase unless you get thrown into a mind trap first) - you lose all dps while going to the orb or dpsing a mind trap in the last phase, on third boss denova you can't really do anything but dps the probe and you get constantly knocked back by the boss for, once again, absolutely no good reason and you have to run to and back from the turrets should you dps them while a ranged just stands there laughing at you. There is simply next to no challenge for ranged besides running out of flashing red circles about two times per fight and they put next to no stress on healers. This could maybe all be a bit less stressful on healers if melee had a talent allowing them to be healed for more by others or the make most abilities that affect only melee dodgable like any boss mechanic for ranged dps.
  2. looks pretty good so far if you can see details of your grps damaging abilities, might help a lot with improving DPS when you can easily compare data. However, is there any way to get some percentages? Like, % missed, % of crits, or how much % this and that ability has done for your total? I know that I could just do the math but it'd take time.
  3. I don't think there's an option to merge guilds directy, you'd have to invite people from another guild to yours or go to theirs or create a new guild. In any case, if you don't all go the a guild with a existing bank you'd have to purchase a new one. There is no way to merge guilds/guildbanks afaik, I could be wrong though. When we took in another guild we did just that - they left their guild and joined our.
  4. well, a dye system would be awesome, the match to chest thing is "ok", but very limited. Dys system in Rift was very simple for example, but you could still look awesome (they also had an appearance tab which was very cool, too). Would love to see it in swtor as well.
  5. I took his offer and killed the Sith after we had a little chat, Idk if anything comes up if you actually kill the couns.
  6. I love Kaliyo, she's awesome. For an undercover agent she's simply perfect - nobody would expect her to work for intelligence, still - she is a pretty good one. She lies and cheats however it benefits her, it's fun to find out the truth about her and seeing how she doesn't give a damn. Her personal story was fun as well. For an agent who really is loyal to the empire and cares deeply she might be a complete mismatch, but she's just an interesting character nonetheless. You should just try not to take her seriously - ever. She won't ever tell you what she truly thinks or feels and while she does resemble Jack from ME2 Jack wasn't such a bad character either when you got to know her (especially in ME3 she got pretty cool - of course none of that matters now that matrix jesus kid blew the universe to pieces). But from all the agents companions the part killik vector is actually the most "normal" one. He's a diplomat and that's what he does, everyone else is extreme in one way or another. Temple for example is a freakish loyalist, if you've done her story and saw how it ends you'll know what I mean. Lokin is a riddle, constantly testing your intellect, playing games with everyone - he respects you though if you figure it out. Scorpio... well, if you get on her good side she's great but I'd say you'd hate every companion the agents gets sooner or later (most of the times sooner) if you don't want to play games with them all the time.
  7. OR... we could just tell them they suck and they suck hard and just constantly fail because they are a bunch of idiots who have no *********** idea what the **** they're doing. Since the second part is actually correct - why not just say it? Time for being poliute is srsly over, I'd be polite if the at least *********** tried to do a better job but NOOOOO, they keep producing the same exact ****ed up **** every damn time. It can't be that hard to patch things right, in Rift there wasn't even 1/100 of the downtimes like here but they were still able to produce quality patches with more content and no bugs or some very minor ones you didn't even notice that were fixed like ****in 2 hours later.
  8. Marauder, Assassin, Sniper and Mercenary @ 50, leveling Sorc now, currently 20, afterwards Operative. No interest at all playing a Jug or PT right now, PT just feels wrong with a tiny blasterpistol in meleerange, vanguard would work but I don't like playing a different faction - Jug is somewhat useless when you already have a toon for tanking (Assa) and play a Marauder.
  9. or just gear up Vette and learn to use your def. cooldowns and interrupt? It was no problem at all to finish every quest in the game with her, I never ever used Quinn - not once and never died to all those bosses people constantly cry about on the forums.
  10. Without connections it's really hard to get into the business in the first place, especially when all the big companies are not even in your freakin country. An upstart company won't get a publisher either and have complete free reign over their game and not the money you'd need to make the game really good in the first place (things like voice acting on a prof. level, if you can afford recording at all, for instance or motion capture or a good engine etc). Still it stands that the "progress" I've seen in game developing is not a good one. You might be right that just saying all developers are bad goes too far, but if they had other ideas to make it better they either didn't get enough time (*cough* EA *cough*) or the guys who gave you money in the first place don't want to take risks or just want you to work for maximum profit - lot of cracks out there for single player stuff - add online gaming, screw offline stuff, focus on online gaming -> it gets more money in. Everywhere money is to be made there ar epeople who will sacrifice anything in order to make money, quality of games has declined simply because those who decide what a game will be like are people who only look at these games in $-signs. BW can't focus on stuff that makes subscribers happy right now - they gotta focus and work on stuff that will get them more subs or more profit in any way possible, they simply do not care or are not allowed to care. The guys who made this game and still work on it are not firsthand responsible for the things that transpire. Whole business is just sold out.
  11. oh yes... "big choices that have a huge impact on the ending" ... but srsly? After playing Tera and just recently Risen 2 I'm starting to think that game designers in general just lost their mind when it comes to gameplay and/or stories. Like Tera promised real action combat - which translates to "run around in circles if your 1 dodge is still on a ridicilous cd and press left mb while doing so in order to experience real action combat" and risen 2 just pissed me off so hard with simply removing every single thing that was great about combat in the original risen -.- so you now have to spam lmb when fighting creatures cause you can't dodge nor block them And BW - ah well, after the immense failure that ME 3 was after DA2 was a complete failure before that and their failure to just listen to thousands of fans I don't expect anything remotely positive to be done here. All their designers are just incompetent and think their incredibly bad ideas are good although thousands of people keep telling them they are not.
  12. Swtor screwed up on obtaining pre raid gear. I also remember running dungeons in order to get gear in wow before you entered a raid and even after you raided regularly you still went back to those dungeons in order to get shards for enchantments for reputation or daily quest rewards which helped your endgame gear - it kept you enterteinaed, gave your main something to do. Now, in Swtor it's like this: Level to 50 (/max lv compared to any other mmo, same old same old) obtain gear by doing daily quests which is done extremly fast, you get a complete item (3 mods + enough coms for amoring) every day. Other than that? Run a FP, low on coms. gotta get lucky with drops OR just scew it, buy a little bit of gear from the GTN and just raid and have a fully equipped character. You don't have enchantments so can't farm those in dungeons, there is no reputation so can't farm that either, there are no achievements (no codex is not an ACM system) or anything else to farm except Datacrons - exactly ones per char. It just gets to raiding really really fast and once you do there is no reason to do anything else cause ther eis simply no progress at all. It's even easier and faster and better to gear your companions while raiding rolling greed for alts and passing on everything else. WoW made the same mistake back in WOTLK where you hit 80, ran a few dungeons got enough gear for heroic dungeons and then just farmed the 15 min dungeons via tool and you were done in a day, reputation rewards sucked anyway and you got bored again. Swtor feels a lot like wotlk currently for me - I log in when it's time to raid or do weeklies or I level up yet another alt inbeweteen ragequits of NBA2k12 and giving it another go and finally dunking on *********** westbrooks head... ehm... nvm. I really just need achievements and reputation system and more pets and stuff like that to farm, it becomes quite addicitve to just get more points doing some stuff and adds interesting challenges to some dungeons and stuff like that (timeruns, kill the boss blindfolded while tapdancing to metal and all that). Rift did a great job here - there were constantly word events for fun items with new invasions and everything, it kept you playing (well, at least me, would still be thee if anyone else was, german servers are SO dead )
  13. How do you level so freakin fast that you end up 50 before finishing Corellia? I have 4 50's and only my very first character hit 50 in the early stages of Corellia. I do every sinlge quest + the bonus missions (yes, every single bonus mission and the whole bonus quests after you've finished a planet) except some H2/H4 I can't find grps for everywhere and my assassin even got a bit underleveled somewhere near Belsavis cause I just stealthed past enemies instead of killing them. On my Sniper (having srsly done everything I could) I had to play a few WZs in order to reach 50. So Idk what you guys are doing different but I don't seem to get that kind of exp. For general leveling speed - it's pretty the same as it was in Rift, leveling in WoW (to 60 at least) was faster - I remember playing my rogue from 10 to 60 in <1 day, all in all it took me less than 1 week there to get him fully epic geared.
  14. two posts - both didn't get it. Yes, things like channel Rage do heal your companion - for much lower amounts than yourself. The whole thing had nothing to do with healing comps to begin with. I like the idea, OOC reg for companions should be faster - currently the fastest way is resummoning them instead of healing them, that's just a dumb mechanic.
  15. It would be - so my Legacy level 38 actually did anything for me. You get everything with incredibly low legacy levels and have to pay insane amounts for it. Now, I do have the creds but ***? 500k for a dummy that you can also practise on on the fleet? 5 Mil for a GTN you can access on NS? 2 mil for a lousy rocket boost? It's like paying 500 dollars for a slice of pizza to not have to walk 5 more minutes to get it for 5, it's just bad design. Actual Legacy Level does nothing for anyone beyond 10 or so, it's all just huge credit sinks without any benefit at all, nothing of that stuff is wotrth even 1/10 of it's price.
  16. It's a mission reward for some mission around lv 43 - try Belsavis and Voss H2/4 quests, couldn't find any more infos on this one - although it has Aim and not cunning so in order to get it you'd probably need to be a BH to get the right it.
  17. It's depended on your ovrall alignment right? If that is the case then Darth Imperius is the light side title (I've ended up with L3 or L4 in the end but chose many dark side options during the class quest so I have no idea what's actually important) but I got Imperius.
  18. I couldn't care less what the fleet looks like, the classes simply have the better story and better voiceacting than their rep. counterparts (at least I couldn't stand listening to a JK, it puts me to sleep), the whole faction is just so lame - and I do play completely light sided as imperial. Rep classes just have this Hollywood standart movie cliche attached to them so hard with you being the hero and it's all plain and simple (good guys be doing good things, in the end the light alaways prevails yada yada yada), the JK ending scene with satele alone had me facepalming so hard I got bruises. Maybe it's different if you play a JK DS like I feel the SW story is better when played LS, but I don't have any motivation to try that.
  19. The problem with all this is... 1. Voiceacting. You'd need to completey act out the imperial and republic side questlines, for the character and companions. 2. Quests. You'd need to write to seperate storyquests for each class and also possibly change some companions or add more of them, I do not see my three republic HATING SW companions just being like "oke let's defect". Only way faction change could work imo is by just having your for example JK replaced by a SW, same gear and all, maybe new look starting on Korriban with a little extra voiceacting explaining in a few lines how you went all sithy. Your voice would change of course and you'd lose all your companions etc and basically be a lv 50 player without a started/completed classquest. Everything is else is simply to expensive without providing any new appeal to the game for a lot of people to subscribe further or buy the game. It's a business decision, it's not going to happen - maybe when swtor hits 5 million + subs and they drown in money they might play around with those things - until then they will try to save as much money as possible on this product.
  20. Or you could simply take a *********** look at his suggestion and see how it's not a bad idea >_> Did not happen me thus far, but typing in the characters name instead of "delete" just adds a nice security layer on top of the function which is really not hard to implement and might save customer service a few "omg I accidentally deleted my char, plx restore" tickets - because THAT does take a lot of time.
  21. How would boss ae dmg affect the troopers? How would you balance ae dmg in pvp? How would you justify this class of yours to be the only one who doesn't suffer from CC? I think you imagine the AI being way too good, it simply doesn't work. Same goes for grpheals on the trooper, could make the squad immune to it though. Still - I don't see how playing mini command and conquer is balanced or desirable in any way. I mean, it's not a bad idea and would work in other games ( I think Diablo 2 even had a class like that? necromancer or something?) but the way this game is designed a pet class is just not playable in any good way. Also, the game is story driven and balanced around having a companion for soloplay, your squad kinda feels off here - you'd have those whatever 5 guys or something all looking the same + your companion? It just doesn't ft the theme of the game/design the game has. I can't really think of a role myself for a new class but I can tell you this one does simply not work.
  22. I think you can do whatever you want, for the rogue ending - keep the thing, don't give it to anyone. I took the codex, killed the Sith, told Minister I'd keep it and staid in touch with the Imp. Intel. team .
  23. How would the pet class work in pvp or pve? Everything except soloplay becomes a problem. New classes in swtor is very difficult, they either use blasters (rifles, pistols whatever) or lightsaber/forcestuff. This kinda limits the things you can do. Of course you could always give them blasters like other classes already have and just think of new skilltrees/game mechanics. An Imperial trooper using Shotgun for example or that weird Assault Cannon could be fun.
