  1. You don't need a workbench (wth where did you find those?!) to mod your items, just CTRL-right click on an item that can be modded and.. welll... mod it. Further... I don't know what kind of gear you would like to keep, but you basically only keep stuff you like the look of and you can mod, everything else can be sold to the vendor or whatever. Mods work the same way, every item you get has mods of appropriate lv in them, so you don't need to keep mods around and you don't need to save them for future companions because their gear is scaled to the lv you get them, thus making the lowlv mods useless. Still having problems not having enough room? All your crafting stuff can be taken to the bank, your crew will acess it automatically when you want to craft something, but most items you find you either use or sell or keep on the bank for future purposes (or until you find mods tht upgrade the item to be better than something you're currently wearing). You can also create a character to use as a bank and manage your stuff that way (you don't need to lv up in order to get to the fleet). Hope that helps.
  2. When you use the Galactic Trade Market you always have to deposit creds in order to create an auction, the question ist simple: Do you get your deposit back if the item does not sell? And if it does sell how much does the market cut of the selling price?
  3. Marauder DPS is fine if it's singletarget, in a grpsituation you are likely to lose to a BH, their lv 2 skill is a singletarget dmg attack pretty much doing the dmg of force scream while it does some ae dmg on the level of our cleave and it knocks weaker/standart enemies down, you see the problem here? Other classes just got so much control and mitigate dmg by just chainstunning enemygrps while you have to run to/leap to every single mob and dps them down while taking dmg. Marauder has a build up time, too before the dmg starts kicking in... the problem never was DPS, the problem was control over normal enemygrps. They shold've given us a lifeleech ability that heals us a bit at least when we deal dmg to even things out but the only thing we have in 1 tree is getting heals when our dots crit which is pretty useless most of the time, either enemies don't last that long or you simply don't crit enough and end up having to channel hatred after every fight or simply die if you don't pay attention.
  4. It doesn't make any sense that you can't romance her if she is light side, if you play a Jedi Knight/Couns yourself you can have a romance. On top of that... she is not a jedi anymore, she is a light side Sith (like you if you play LS), you are her master. I am a bit disappointed that you can't really influence your crewmembers or get rid of them/have more choices, as a light sided Sith having Quinn with me feels like begging for a bullet in the back at some point, although LS choices become very very limited later in the game, where your basic LS choice is to apologize to someone before you slaughter everyone. Someone either got very lazy there or it's just really bad design and they don't care.... you can't even try to reach a peaceful solution, ended up refusing a few quests because they were just too cruel to justify doing them as a LSS. Playing a LSS was fun at the beginning, trying to change something from within, but they really lost that when you progress, also pretty monoton to always have to do quests for some Imperial Intelligence guy and noone else. Take Taris for example where the basic goal is to destroy the entire planet.. where is the option to at least say "hey, maybe destroying a entire planet is pretty stupid", it's like being forced to do things although they go against everything you stand for.
  5. Pretty easy with following tactic; Preperations: - Use Vette - have a medpac or two ready - if you have one, use a presence-stim tactic: To the left where the friendly soldiers are standing there are a few barrels, you use these to get out of sight of enemies. Have Vette focus one enemy at a time down, she should be able to kill almost all standart mobs by herself if you equipped her a bit (of course, stims that increase presence work nicely here). Before Vette goes down take her back, have her los the enemies as well and wait for them to come or just charge into the last wave. Repeat this. Second wave I think you face two strong opponents at once, just have the soliders "tank" one of them and kill the other one, cloak of pain, obfuscate, saber ward etc can and should be used and of course, medpacs, you can also use call on the force, the elite in the 3rd wave is easily done without CotF. When annihilation specced you can be a little bit more offensive, whenever you have 30 rage (use cd, dot and watch your health get back up), don't forget to force choke stronger opponents for 3 sec without taking dmg and always interrupt the abilities with a cast time. Had no problems on lv 28 with this at all after I wiped the first time charging in recklessly, because I didn't think there would be waves ;o Now the real problem was acutally beating the stupid Jedi on Hutta afterwards, phase 1 is easy, phase 2 doable with cotf and luck (or a higher lv), 3 is basically 2 and afterwards there is another fight that is managable... would recommend to bring a friend though for less frustration.
  6. Likes; 1- Questing, simply awesome for people who were lookin for more than just "blabla run to mapmarker kill 10 lablas get nothing". 2- Space Combat, has a lot of potential 3- Companions, could maybe react a little bit better depending on your chices, still being called an faithful servant of the empire or homocidal psychopath although I am neither is kind of a letdown. Hates: 1- User Interface... srsly, let someone do it (addons) or take a look at how Rift's done it and coipy the living crap out of it. 2- Makros (not for skills, but targeting functions, mouseoverhealing, mouseoverinterrupt, target of target casts etc 3- Space Combat... not that hard, move with wasd, mouse to aim, like in any other game, you could even make it completely free movement (if you choose to design new missions in the future), just near endless potential there but almost nothings being done with it.
  7. There isn't really much to say, a few tips maybe... - This game is balanced around you having a companion around, so keep 1 of them with you and only send the other one(s) on missions or whatever you do (to) with them. - Your interrupt ability isn't there just for fun, use it to avoid being damaged by enemy skills that have a cast time. - when facing an very strong opponent it's a good idea to enter the fight with near full (30) rage, playing annhiliation it makes your dots crit always wich heals you for quite a good amount acutally. - Vette has an "AE-stance", use it, as you lack ae attacks yourself early one, just don't forget to change it back to Sniper Mode when facing single opponents. - you can bring down extremly tough enemies alone when using your Cloak of Pain, Saber Ward + Call on the force, just keep your dots up, let your companions "tank" until you grab aggro again (takes a bit of practise to figure out how much time is needed). -Always carry medpacs and use them, being a biochemist makes it easier/cheaper to get them and it's also a nice crew skill, easy to lv. (farm stuff with bioanalys while leveling and take Slicing for the money on the way, easily can get up to 150k creds minimum when you hit 25 and should purchase your speeder) and it's also pretty nice for endgame with stimpacks etc. -Make sure your armor is up to date, we are limited to medium armor and do not have shields or high avoidance, so keep an eye on your armor rating. You will probaly get hurt more than ranged clases because you have to close down on your target and enemies are usually spread out a bit + you lack ae dmg and completely lack Crowd Control skills, which really sucks btw. -if possible, try to get high crit rating/take gear with crit on it for questing when playing annihilation, as dotcrits heal you. The basisc of dealing dmg as annihilation specced Marauder could be described as following; Start your fight with charge + Deadly Saber, follwed by Battering Assault (you should always youse BA when it's ready and you wouldn't gain more rage than to reach the max) and Rupture and keep those dots running all the time. When facing multiple hostiles change DS to Smash. Other than that just spend rage until you run out of it, depending on the cooldown of your rage using skills use Ravage, using your highest damaging skills first. Don't spend too much rage on Vicious Slash and end up wasting a gcd building rage before you can reapply your dots and/or use higher dmg skills. Cloak of Pain has such a short CD that you should use it frequently when fighting a grp consisting of 1 or more strong opponents and a few weaker ones and always take the weaker ones out first, because they basically fall very fast, but apply your dots on the strong on for a bit of healing and because it's utterly wasted on weaker enemies who don't survive long enough for your dots to acutally do something. Retaliation is also a handy skill, while a VS does somewhat more dmg it costs you a global CD, so Ret. + Assault is the better choice here, because the skills combined outdmg VS. Don't think there is much more to say, maybe keep in mind that you can position mobs with line of sight (run behind stuff) if the enemy grp is spread and another thing is abusing Force Charge to get somewhere faster, you can use it to leap across gaps or jump on a higher lv/lower lv without taking fall dmg (at least I think that works) as long as there are enemies nearby. So far, lv 24, worked pretty well for me, although I've only played Annihilation, can't tell you anything bout the other two specs, but it's fine, a Bounty Hounter might kill stuff faster, but he probably has to vent heat somewhat often instead of regen health, so it does not really make them faster... just less risky, you can die pretty quickly when you mess up as Marauder (missing all the stuns etc some other clsses have, an inquisitor should probably be able to solo some grpquests easily, having heal abilities, CC and still a decent dmg ouput almost as high as ours). Marauder is definetly one of the harder classes to level up and to pvp with, we don't have heals (would've been so much better if dots just healed you right away with an ICD), no defensive mechanics beyond heavy cooldown Saber Ward and absolutely no stuns or at least CC cpells like the whirlwindthingy from the inquis or the no cd ae blastshot knocking down enemies longer than our Smash "stuns" them, but it's doable and not as bad as going through hell or having to watch the entire Twilight Saga (might be the same thing though).
