  1. We had a match last night, incredible game of huttball from both sides. Score was 0-0 and no one even got the ball in the end as it popped to center just before the timer ran out. Our team lost for what ever reason. Came out with 16 medals in it as did most people in the match. Got 350 credits and 20 comms. Giving it until tuesday and if it isn't hot-fixed in that patch, I'll definately be cancelling. All pvp is now in warzones is a gigantic zerg fest. I've never seen people die so fast. Healers are almost a complete non-factor in every warzone you play. Really sad seeing some great healers pre 1.2 stand no chance against even a single person now.

  3. It's kinda lol on our server. Did about 15 matches tonight < re-rolled from sorc healing to a dps myself >. I'd say about 50% of the reg healers that I recognized were no longer healing and pewing lightning instead. The other 50%, basically dead 24/7 in the matches. Sorcs by far being the easiest to kill, mercs second.. ops you generally need a couple dps on them to drop them. Didn't see a single warzone with a healer breaking 300k healing where as that used to be the norm in previous matches. Death counts though are through the roof lol. Dmg is off the charts, system is just completely broken. Loving the dps though )
  4. Pyro merc spec definately does not hit that hard. Highest hit I had all night was a therm det of 4.2k. Most games my highest hit is 3-3.5k. So pyro definately isn't bugged.
  5. Yeah this new system is utter garbage. Losing, you get maybe 30-40 comms even with 10-15 medals. Even winning sometimes.. is the same. We just had a voidstar, won it, 15 medals for it.. 52 comms...like are they trying to completely kill this game in 1.2. Is that the entire thought behind the patch. We made our money back with sales, now we gotta kill the game. Well, you guys are definately on the right track.
  6. The most op'd class in the game.. well it's not really a class.. it's the ability "guard" imo. Give the nature of how it's used... having no cd.... and it being able to be kept on someone permanently < well until they die >, it's the root of all evil when it comes to the healing nerfs. A tank with all his cd's up and guard on a healer.. may as well walk away unless you have some incredible burst on your side. I think if anything it needs to be looked at and changed. Stick it on a 2 min cd, have it last 15-20 secs when used.. talent it for say a 30 sec reduction. In lieu of it tanks would need to be given some other sort of bread and butter I suppose. With rated on the horizons, the teams that will be unbeatable will be those with multiple tanks/healers. Already a proven fact from multiple other posts showing teams that have never been beaten running this combo due to it being impossible to kill anyone.
  7. I think you need to re-phrase your first sentence to a full set of cent gear maybe. The odds of getting a piece of champ gear in these bags is like 1-100. The cent stuff yes, you could have a full set of cent gear in a few days. Sadly the cent gear is miles behind the champ gear in over-all stats and a lot of the sets have beyond terrible itemization. Just looking at the merc eliminator cent set, nothing but accuracy/power. Most people I see that hit BM now since the champ changes went into effect a month or so back might have a few pieces of champ and the rest is pve gear with the odd assortment of cent if they choose to re-mod it.
  8. It's not much different most times in the 50's bracket. Just think that all these new people will soon be in the 50's bracket as well. 95% of the BMs running around these days are just as bad as the people in the pre 50 brackets. That being said, the only difference in the lower brackets in comparison to the 50's bracket is a level 10 can kill a level 49. A brand new 50 doesn't stand a chance against a full bm'd person unless that person's skill level is 1/10th that of someone in the lower brackets. I do whole hearitly agree though. Lower brackets is extremely ammusing seeing all these new re-rolls who can barely keyboard turn let alone hit off two consecutive abilities in under 10 seconds.
  9. Lol, work harder... cause playing an Op or Merc healer is sooooo hard.. I know and run with several great op/merc healers < minus the soon to be mercs as they've all gone dps now> that put up just as high of #'s as sorc healers and don't find it hard at all to heal. Playing a sorc healer isn't all that hard either.. after 1.2 well, it's not gonna be hard, just pointless. The difference between playing a dps or healer are on opposite ends of the spectrum. The only people that argue other-wise are those that only play dps and would never touch a healer. I've seen more then a few great "dps" specced players change specs to healing and wow, some of the funniest stuff you'll ever see. Special olympics 2.0. They last maybe a day then revert back to dps. At the end of the day, what's killing this game is the skill level of the player-base. It is far lower then any other mmo easily. Everyone wants to feel this entitlement that if they can't 1v1 someone down every single time, well that class must be op'd, so let's cry on the forums and get out the nerf bats. It's just beyond sad when I just hit 50 with basically nothing for gear and I can double the dmg in warzones of full bm dps powertechs/mercs.
  10. Do you even read anything Bioware says, it's FACT more people que up for pvp then they do "pve hm's/op's". Why is that? Simple, the pve content in this game is beyond dull and boring. If this game was primarily about pve and pvp meant nothing, they wouldn't be dropping a ton of resources into the "pvp" aspect. This patch is more about "pvp" then it is pve. The nerfs are coming due to the pvp, not pve. Fact, if this game is so PVE oriented.. why is that the pvp forums have over 450k posts, while the pve.. which is "supposed" to be the primary aspect of this game has a meager 50k or so. Yeah, I think pvp in this game atm is the only thing holding this game up and that's sad considering the state it's in.
  11. Yes, good healers are thanked often. Most warzones I come out with 4-6 votes minimum. That being said, healing in this game, more so pvp.. it in simple simple simple words "IS NOT FUN". You spend 1/2 the match just healing yourself, the other half stunned into oblivion. Playing a dps, now that's fun. I had a merc in the back-ground I never touched until I saw these notes. So I figured I'd level it up and go healing in the end.... not a chance. The enjoyment of dps over healing in this game is on opposite ends of the spectrum. DPS that can't kill healers, lol.. they are beyond easy to take down. Especially sorcs. Mercs, just need to time your abilities for when they heat up. Not rocket science. It seems that Bioware has tried to find every possible gimmick in mmo history to make the healing experience the worst thing you'll ever do. It's sad how they took the lazy approach to this patch with complete disregard to the pvp aspect. It's obvious none of them play a healing class cause if they did, I'd bet everything I owned they'd of taken a different approach. If any try and refute that I'll definately call them on it. So, in the meantime, unless some miracle happens to reverse at the very least the lol 2.5 sec cast time for sorc heals, I'll just continue to roll with the dps at least until GW2 comes out. Bye bye then. I had high hopes for the game, and it's sad to see the direction it's gone. Just a repeat of all the past mmo's failures. You'd think new mmo's coming out would be able to get this stuff right off the hop. I honestly think 1.2 is gonna kill the game in the end. Once you lose a subscriber, 90% of them never ever come back. If 1.2 doesn't, it'll be 1.3 with a revert and nerf to other classes.

    It's comments like these that just make me chuckle. All I can say in the end to all these dps, have fun staring at the 30 second wall non stop every warzone cause that's exactly what it's gonna come down too. I really can't blame dps either. Healing is beyond brutal in this game, probably the most unenjoyable of any experience for any mmo to date. Play a dps and good god, the fun factor goes from a negative 10 as a healing to a postive 50 on the other side. It's like night and day and just a blast. Still unsure myself wether or not I'll shelf my healer for 1.2. After re-rolling for a merc to go healing in the end, well.. dps is just a hell of a lot more fun <and no I'm not arsenal omg!> . Healers are a non issue in warzones and most can be taken down with ease. The only healers that present any issue is mercs. Once their cd's are down though, it's game over. With the expertise changes in 1.2, it'll be even easier.

  14. The game does have pretty damn good class balance atm. Outside of a few tweaks to some classes, ie buffing op healers, maybe toning mauraders down and putting a bit more spice into 3-4 button specs as just the main points, it wasn't too bad. That's out the window with 1.2 though.
  15. If those patch notes they just posted go live in their current form, bioware will officially without a doubt become the new warhammer 2.0 Good bye to 25% of your subs in one fell swoop. A lot of great changes that were needed and a ton of other changes that make no sense what so ever.
  16. DPS sorcs yes, I agree. Go corruption, it's the complete opposite spectrum to dps. I challenge you to stay alive for more then a few secs against multiple geared dps w/o guard while a merc can stand with 4-5 on them and their health bars barely budge. I go from using 4-5 hotkeys at the most as dps to having 20+ hot keys for healing. Kinda ammusing how the trend in warzones now is just a massive influx of merc dps, merc healers, and mauraders.

If anything after watching what happens in competitive pvp and teams, sorcs are the last class that need nerfs and if anything, the corruption spec needs some over-hauling to give actual survivability. I'd give up my force speed in a heart-beat along with my bubble to have the survivability the mercs have. Add in them giving them ae heals compatible with what sorcs have now, yeah, I expect there damn well better be some loving to the healing tree. First class to die every single time, now why is that.... if they are so completely OP'd like SOOOOOOOOO many people are stating, why is that they didn't completely stomp the living sh#$ outta all the other teams? Things that make you go hmmmmm.................
  18. When are you guys going to fix the raid frames for the warzones. This bug has been in since beta and still continues to persist non stop in warzones where you have 1 person missing from the raid frame. With ranked warzones coming out, having this bug is just going to cause entire teams to leave the warzone immediately and re-que and if they do stay, put them basically one player down. It wouldn't be so bad atm if the focus target mechanic actually worked, but 1/2 the time the moment they are out of range of you, it just disappears again.
  19. BM bags seem for the most part at least in our guild to be somewhat predictable. Aside from one BM, the rest of our BM's took 3 weeks to get full BM. So roughly 1 in every 3 bags gave a token. I do know other BM's that haven't seen a token in 2 weeks so given that, yeah rng still seems to be the deciding factor. Not that it matters a whole lot though, BM gear atm is barely better then champ so you aren't missing much by not having it.
  20. If you think a BM geared sorc is unkillable, lol at you. I can see that with maybe a merc/vanguard given their insane survivability, but definately not a sorc. Best thing a healing sorc can do is run away. I say put a 30% penalty on your dps in pvp and see how you like it. F34king newbs on these forums is astounding.
  21. Stack more pt's in a warzone and then you'll see 6-8k crits. Several pt's on our server do it and it's due to buff stacking of multiple pt's that brings about the #'s. Pt's/maur's/mercs for the most part are fine, maybe a bit of tweaking here and there. It's the debuff stacking from multiple players that needs to get fixed. The stacking of the debuffs leads to even higher burst dmg then the stacking of all the adrenals/stims did before they were nerfed.
  22. Hmm, we were just discussing this exact topic in a match earlier on how some people were hitting so f#$king hard, literally dropping 20k hp players in 4-5 secs tops. This would explain a lot and good god, this is almost worse then stacking all the adrenals and relics at once given the # of players that play all these 3 button pushing dps classes. I hope they rework merc/bh/dps sorcs so they have to use their abilities just like an ops/mauraders or healing specced classes have to and see how many quit when they don't have the ezmode play anymore. Astonishing how they can make certain class specs require them having to utilize 20+ hot keys all the time in comparison to other specs requiring a handful of hotkeys to be effective.
  23. I just accept the fact we're gonna lose before the game even started especially if it's a republic team we're against. On our server, 90% of the imps that que are exactly that, in greens and blues while it seems there is no such thing as a republic pug. Every game you face them it's double pre-mades in full champ/bm gear so right off the hop, you're team even with a pre-made is f#$ked. Trying to even heal these 12-14k people isn't even worth the gcd as they'll generally be dead before your heal even lands. Extremely frustrating that pugs dictate atm your losing before the matches even start. Best you can hope for is imp vs imp. It's great getting the repub teams to face off against, but frustrating when all your pugs have nothing for gear basically meaning you've lost already.
  24. The problem with the current pvp system and ranged in general boils down to just how pathetically easy it is to play classes like troopers, Mercs, Sages/Sorcs and such. I'm only talking in relation to the dps specs and not the healing as they are two entirely different degrees of difficulty unless you're carried by a team. Playing the dps specs, a good player can literally put 5-6 hot keys on their bar and stomp people into the ground. There is virtually no skill required to be succesful playing them which is a huge part of why there are so many. Now you take the healing specs which literally use 20+ hot keys, or op's that have to use every ability, or mauraders, the degree of difficulty in them is leaps and bounds from one another. Until Bioware addresses the classes 1 by 1 and gets rid of these cookie cutter builds and 3-4 button pushers and put some skill into playing these classes, nothing will change. People play what is easy and sadly, these classes are king and so succesful that even the poorest player can look decent playing them. People tend to migrate to what's easy to play, and I'm afraid if it's not addressed sooner rather then later, pvp in general will be dead or just be pve'ers as guild wars will take every single pvp player that wants real pvp.
