  1. same player in 3 games has zero damage, zero assist, zero defense, just self destructs over and over. Self Destructing in GSF should not reset the kick command. And if you have zero stats it should not count that game for dailies or weeklies. Even new players can tag a ship once in a while for a few hundred damage. Funny part is that player is actively trolling people in chat. I noticed him self destructing in a TDM and mentioned we are only behind because someone is self destructing. That person responded "we should report that them!".
  2. I thought I saw it too but I remembered I saw a post about an NPC golfing. I can't remember what planet the NPC was on.
  3. We constantly hear players brag about how much skill they have in PvP. Fine, lets make it about skill. It would be nice if Bolster gives everyone the same stats based on their combat class. Everyone is also boosted to level 80 and given access to all their abilities and the whole ability tree. No more PvP brackets based on character level, you enter PvP and get truly bolstered. Give players access to all their abilities and ability tree from level 1. Players can drop their abilities on the hotbar and map out the ability tree but until they level high enough to unlock those abilities they remained grayed out and unusable. Once you enter PvP you are bolstered to 80 so everything unlocks. FFXIV does this and it's one of the things I loved about their PvP.
  4. It's normal to feel frustrated because the opposing team is decent, it is not "normal" to give up and AFK the rest of the game. I'm sorry, but your idea of normal is spoiling the game for everyone on your team. Lets put this in real world terms. You are playing football. The other team is defending their goal and your team is having a hard time kicking the ball in but has not given up yet. Would you... Go hide behind the stands and wait for the game to be over Keep trying to score because your team members are depending on you What you are telling us is you would pick the first option. You would hide behind the stands refusing to play the game because it is too hard, then if your team wins walk up and accept your trophy. That mentality is the reason we need the option to kick players from Warzones.
  5. not happening. I am not going to listen to a 2 hour podcast to figure out why you are against a vote kick option.
  6. you may want to narrow what happened because I doubt many, including me, is going to listen to a two hour podcast to figure out what you are talking about. Also ranked PvP is gone, there is less incentive to be toxic trash obsessing over your win/loss ratio, hence why we have such an issue with AFKing through matches.
  7. For Imperial characters the UI is blue and the pulse colour for being in queue is Blue to Red. It is very easy to tell when you are actively queued or if you missed the queue pop. For Republic characters the UI is blue and the pulse colour for being in queue is Blue to Lighter Blue? It is not easily apparent you are still in queue or have queued up properly. I understand the theme, Empire is Red and Republic is Blue, but can the queue pulse just be changed to Blue and Red?
  8. just came from a PvP match where someone called out a team mate who ran behind the enemy spawn and stood there the whole match in Voidstar. When they started calling the person out the AFKers response was "I have a phone call". They stood there the whole round hiding behind a container in the first round then in the second round went directly there again and stood there until the game ended. If you have a phone call for the whole match, leave the match. A phone call is not an excuse to intentionally hide then have enough time to argue in chat legitimizing your choice to AFK in the match but not participate.
  9. If you started to /tell them it would pop up OlBuzzard@goldplatinum153 if they were on your friends list. You could add people to your friends list and they would list the account name. Account names are what legacy names in swtor used to be, unique, only they were never displayed over your character but could he seen on the friends list, when you /tell someone or examined them.
  10. I have only seen people vote kicked from Arena for refusing to engage in combat and staying stealthed the whole match. And a 3 man team kicking people because they are bad makes zero sense. You probably aren't getting back fill in Arena so kicking someone who can make the enemy waste their DPS makes no sense. Sure it can happen but that would be astronomically more rare than the AFKing we are currently seeing in Arena and Warzone. I have zero sympathy for players who queue up for PvP then for what ever reason decide they are going to go AFK and get kicked. It is no different than a player signing up for an OPs then AFKing until everything is dead so they can walk around and loot everything.
  11. I heard Typing was a dulfy promo, golf swing and think may have never been released.
  12. as much as I would love to never leave my stronghold, having to go to Fleet for some things reminds us how active the game is. If we isolate ourselves and never see players outside of PvP or Ops then the game starts to feel vacant.
  13. ran into this issue a lot on Ranked and we would immediately vote to kick these players. This forced players like this to ether get kicked or initiate combat. I ran into this a couple times after 7.2 and from that point on I just ignored Arena. Too many bad sports queuing up and if one person on your team is AFK the match is lost.
  14. no it's the same thing. If you AFK because of <reasons> other than your house being on fire, you should leave the game or not even bother to queue up. you don't AFK just because the game isn't turning out how you want. If you don't want to participate you leave the game and accept the 20 minute lock out from PvP because it sounds like you might need the break.
  15. tonight almost every game had a person giving up and doing absolutely nothing. The primary excuse is "Oh this is a premade team, we can't win!!" so they go hide somewhere the rest of the game. Most of the time this "premade group" is a bunch of pugs all from different guilds with 2-3 people who know how to actually play the warzone. Having 2-3 people on a PUG that know how to play isn't a premade team, that's just the luck of being matched up with competent players. People are looking for excuses to AFK and not participate while reaping the same benefits as those on their team actually trying and they are getting away with it because we have no kick option. 4 votes for an 8 person warzone and 3 votes for an arena would be fine.
  16. avoid the Rakghoul explosions, have the mail box and all legacy banks near you without moving. Yeah fleet is annoying
  17. just add "gold pressed latinum" into the game worth 1 billion credits
  18. Everything you listed is an excuse selfish players use to justify AFKing continuously in pvp games. Enemy team just scored, time to AFK, team mates not doing what you want, time to AFK, someone on your team wearing an outfit you don't like, time to AFK. I have seen the same people AFK in games back to back. They start the match, leave the spawn, hide in a corner and stay there until the game is over. Very next game they will do the same thing. I have also dealt with players like you who will see the enemy team score and go "I'm AFKing the rest of the match, good luck B!&%#!!" then proceed to AFK the rest of the match because things aren't working out like they want. Vote kick system needs to be added back in for players who they they are justified for AFKing because they either don't feel like actually playing or they don't like how the game is working out and decide it's not worth their time to participate.
  19. Each account had their own random ID. Character names were not unique but the ID that followed was unique and something assigned by the company. I don't remember the format but you would /tell OlBuzzard@GoldPlatinum153. Every character on your account would be @GoldPlatinum153 so if someone tried to impersonate you, your friends could look up that persons account name and double check. Think of our current system. We had massive issues with scamming on Star Forge with a certain player copying well established players names. They would use a character boost, take a well established trader name like "illgot" and create a new character named "ilIgôt". This new character would then set up trades with people for hypercrates and insert a single cartel pack because they shared the same icon. They scammed a lot of people doing this, so much so that Bioware changed the icons of the hypercrates and cartel packs so they were different. Once caught this player would delete that character and get a refund on their character boost because they did not level or finish any quests. They would then copy another traders name and repeat. Eventually they became so well known they changed their legacy name multiple times because we kept track of them on our friends lists when they popped up trying to scam people. With an account ID attached to each of your characters people can check to make sure they are dealing with the person they intended and at the same time character names were no longer unique. Yes you could see a hundred Legolas running around with the exact same character name but the account name following their character name would be unique. I don't think you ever saw their account name unless you were /telling them or looking at your friends list. I can not even remember which game had this function. Our current naming system leads to many characters using names like "Õl'BÜzzÅrÐ" which in it's own way is cumbersome when you try and /invite or /tell without them actively posting in chat.
  20. I can't find solid numbers of votes in the previous vote kick system. I believe you need 4 people on a team agreeing to kick a person in a warzone and 3 people in arena. If you were on a node in a defensive position earning Defense Points it would automatically cancel the vote kick. If you engaged in combat or died this would also cancel the vote kick. In a warzone it was useful for kicking people who would hide AFK somewhere away from a defensive node. If they were AFK on a node earning defensive points it was harder to kick them unless we lost the node and they remained there AFK. We used this a few times in arena when a team mate would stealth and refuse to fight. We would vote kick them which forced them to initiate combat or be kicked from Arena. We did this when it was obvious our team mate had no intention of actually fighting. If the team mate was waiting out a cool down timer no one ever had issues waiting on them.
  21. Except give us an option to add all these events items to collections with the option to unlock account wide. These bind on pick up weapons with no option for legacy bound versions or a collections unlock are obnoxious.
  22. I was playing an MMO that did that with player names. You had an old server name attached to character ID. I can't remember which game that was but thought that was a decent solution. Another game gave each account a unique ID so it would be "illgot@account ID". Players names were not unique but the account ID that followed the name was. You could always check a players account ID to make sure they were who you thought they were.
  23. 50% of the people voting to kick a player should be enough. For WZ that will be the person initiating vote kick and 3 more players for a total of 4 votes. Vote kick should also be brought back in Arenas. I have seen multiple stealthed players never leave stealth just to troll both teams. These players are not only dead weight but also wasting 7 players time both rounds. Arena vote should require the initial vote and 2 others for a total of 3 votes. I had the same player today go AFK in multiple games. They would stealth right outside the spawn and do nothing the whole match.
  24. had a person in gen chat declare that they 100% knew that the credit caps were going to increase because we were getting a 64 bit engine. I thought that too at first, that it would be easier for the devs to change, but now I'll be happy with faster load time and less latency.
  25. or even in an instance. I get into a group and find 2 other tanks?
