  1. do you even know how retaining your name works on a server merge? Here is what you said translates to: "I would rather see the game lose thousands of players because of dead servers than merge servers and take the chance I could lose my name."

  3. To fix credit inflation you need credits sinks. Deleting credits does not fix inflation.
  4. I feel bad for people who are on a winning team, game has a few minutes left and they get disconnected. That's happened to me and I'm like what ever, but I just move to another server. I feel worse for others because that maybe the only game they get to play for the day. that's not an option for most people in the US. You have one provider that throttles the heck out of your connection about 2-3 days into the new month.
  5. I whole heartedly agree with you. The deserter timer needs to be reworked. Premade teams are nearly impossible to win against unless they are truly horrible at PvP. Voting should be added back in even if it does nothing. The medal system still needs work, but none of that excuses players who queue up for PvP and immediately go AFK once they leave the spawn area. And we need the kick system back.
  6. lol I had to go back and edit that screen shot 3 times now, I didn't realize how many times a players name is listed.😅 Before 7.2 we could vote kick players who were AFKing. That vote kick only succeeded if 50%(?) of the team voted to kick the person and they stayed out of combat. It was pretty hard to kick a player in a Warzone or GSF out of a match. It could more easily be abused in Arena but doing so almost guarantees your team will be one person short for the rest of the game and I only saw vote kick in arena succeed against stealthers who refused to fight because they were trolling both teams waiting for the game to time out. With out the vote kick option we now have people boldly AFKing from the start of a match, what's the worse that can happen, they lose while they aren't playing? In Arena I have noticed stealth players now refusing to fight if they aren't going to win. They will waste every ones time waiting for the arena to time out in both rounds. Three people in my team died and an Assassin refused to fight the enemy, instead they just ran around avoiding the enemy while my team, dead, tried to guide the enemy to their location. The stealth finally died when the match timed out and the next round they didn't even pop out of combat, they spent the whole second round avoiding enemies again. Usually that behavior is an immediate vote kick. Either the player engages the enemy or gets kicked out of the game. Now, they can sit there and waste 7 peoples time for 10 minutes because they want to throw a temper tantrum.
  7. yeah I saw the name in chat and took out the screenshot. I think people will get the idea without a screenshot of what they are doing. This player immediately ran to a corner and hid. When I called them out they then ran under the map and hid. I called them out again and they ran around, then returned under the map when I got this screen shot. It's not like they started to hide when we were losing, they immediately started the game trying to hide in corners. Another player was doing the same thing but I didn't get screen shots of them. We were basically 6 vs 8 because of the two AFKers in our match. This player did the same thing in the previous Huttball and we won 2 to 0. They hid at the start of the game on our goal. they aren't doing this because of "a premade owned us" they are doing it because they are leaching off their team mates. https://i.imgur.com/YC1cTjN.png this was near the end of the game after they didn't move the whole match from our goal.
  8. AFKing in PvP matches is becoming a bigger issue since the kick option has been removed. I just came from 2 matches were multiple players were AFKing. The players are running straight for a corner and using /sit command. When their characters are turned around you can not see them easily and most people walk by them. Players are AFKing everywhere they can in the game, most players have a stealth option so don't even need to find corners. They can just stealth and AFK in the middle of the map where players do not fight. We need the option to vote kick players out of matches.
  9. that's fine but you are losing out. lets say you have 50 character slots unlocked on every server. If you make a character to fill all 50 slots on every server, after a two server merger you could have 100 characters and after a five server merger you could have 250 characters. That's basically 50-200 free characters. If you maxed out your character limit to 100 per server, that is 100-400 free characters. lets say you don't want to fill all those character slots and only use 40 of those 50 characters slots because <reasons>. After a two server merge you will have 90 characters and after a five server merge you will have 200 characters. After the merge you have three options before you can make a new character. Delete enough characters until you fall below your 50 character limit so you can freely create a new character Buy enough Additional Character Slot expansions at 600 Cartel Coins each so you can exceed your current character limit if that limit is below 100. Keep your over the limit characters and spend a few hundred Cartel Coins tweaking your characters appearance. With a possible 200-500 characters after a server merge, a combination of class story, first combat class, and sex wouldn't be an issue. But that's your choice. Use up the slots before a merger and far exceed the normal server character limit or fork out more Cartel Coins to unlock additional character slots just to catch up to the number you have post merge if you don't exceed 100 character slots. You have a choice if server merges happen like they have in the past. Start deleting characters until you fall below your normal character limit, buy additional slots until you exceed your character limit, or take advantage of the system and far exceed your character limit then spend a few hundred Cartel Coins to tweak your character appearance if need be. Of course none of this is an issue unless you play multiple servers and any of those servers combined exceed your current character limit. I'm sitting at 94 characters across all servers and my current character limit is 47. I'm definitely not dropping around 200 dollars worth of Cartel Coins to bring my character limit to 100 so my only option is delete half my characters to make a new one or spend a few cartel coins to change a characters appearance.
  10. After a server merge you retain access to all existing characters. If you have 100 characters on Satele Shan and 100 characters on Star Forge, you will have access to all 200 characters after the merge. If you make 100 characters on every server and there is one mega server, you will have access to all 500 characters. You won't be able to make new characters until you fall below 100 characters, but you don't lose access to characters above the your character limit or server limit of 100 characters per server. This has already been confirmed by players who have over 100 characters after a server merge. If you plan ahead you can take advantage of this to exceed the 100 character limit.
  11. so why not fill those unused character slots now? That way you will have 200 characters after the server merge? You will basically have double the number of characters most people are allowed with the max normally being 100 characters per server. Or if you anticipate a single mega server merge, why not make 100 characters on every server and have 500 characters after the merger? You aren't actually losing character slots if you use them before the merge and if you do you will have at least double the amount of characters most people have, maybe even more if you have over 100 characters from previous merges. There is only one character slot expansion I can find and that Cartel Market item unlocked +1 characters on all servers not a single server.
  12. this may not still be the case but there was a bug when large groups were throwing snowballs at a droid on Nar Shadaa. Large groups seemed to bug the system and give you a larger return than it should. Instead of 1 package or 1 tree you would get multiple. I would be rewarded 2-5 packages or trees at once in large groups. It may have been counting each person who crit and giving out the reward based on the number of people who crit at the same time versus just the single reward you should have received.
  13. summon your companion make sure your companion is far enough away you can use your snowball on them throw snowball cancel snowball debuff repeat I found this more useful while playing the game. The only other method I would suggest is heading to Nar Shadaa promenade and following a large group of players spamming an Over Heated Droid with snowballs. This will also give you trees.
  14. the biggest problem for me is that weapons are tied to the outfitter slot. I basically have to copy the same outfit multiple times because of different combat styles which require different main hand weapons.
  15. as much as I am an objective players in pvp matches, I don't think we should be kicking players for not playing how we want them to. I find it annoying when the only guard at a node abandons guarding to jump into a fight half way across the map, but I'm not paying their subscription and they aren't my slave. I can't tell them what to do, I can only suggest they let us know they aren't going to guard the node. Not everyone knows how to play PvP. There are some posters here who post multiple times a day telling others how to play who still thinks focusing on objectives is for losers and the only way to win any warzone is to kill as many people as possible. You can't expect everyone to understand or care how to win a warzone and you can't control how they play. I just wish we could prompt kick stealthed AFKers who are not contributing and sitting in some corner away from combat.

  20. the toxic players who drove others away, for any reason, are to blame for ranked PvP dying. It doesn't matter why you told players to go kill themselves, why you told them to stop wasting your time, why you told them to never come back, or why you told them simply to "F*** OFF you are trash...". If you were toxic to new players in ranked PvP, you are the reason ranked PvP's population fell so low the devs scrapped it. I still find it ironic we constantly heard people begging for others to queue up for ranked PvP then those same players immediately harassed anyone new that dared try to play ranked.
  21. I've been slowed respawning then couldn't make it out of the spawn gates before the doors closed again. I hate that "feature".
  22. You and I both know how toxic the players in ranked were and how that level of toxicity was a badge of honor to some. The fact that they could drive players away from Ranked PvP permanently gave them a sense of power they thoroughly enjoyed. Which is fine. Congrats, the toxic players achieved their goal of driving anyone they considered below them away. And as a result the population of Ranked PvP fell so low Bioware decided to kill the game mode rather than invest more time and money programming it to work with the new combat system. You yourself admitted to being toxic because "it's how you show you care". Don't act shocked that being toxic drove players away.
  23. It was toxic enough that the vast majority of people that tried it left and never returned. The population got so small that the developers nixed the game mode completely rather than invest in resources to keep ranked going. It doesn't matter how toxic you felt ranked was, the developers saw that the population was too small to invest in. If ranked was less toxic and more people wanted to be part of the ranked community, maybe the devs would have seen Ranked PvP as something worth keeping around.
  24. I think the Hyde/Zeeek gear is on par with Rakata 332, it will have a bit more endurance where as the Thyrsian gear tends to have more DPS stats.
