  1. *aherm* not that the xbox markets cater to impressionable pre- and early-teens that have a notorious habit of shoplifting/petty crime* Cough* Whaaaat? ;P I'm just poking fun. I'd say it's because the other big mmo does it, as well as safety, and the fact that *** with with the blank cd/dvd companies and not selling empty cd cases? Like seriously. That's what I use the card cases for. And speaking of wow... they used to sell their cards in those lovely 8 by 4 by 2 inch cardboard boxes that computer games come in. At least plastic is less obtrusive, so glad they sent the precedence to the PS2 cases for time cards.
  2. I wanted SO BADLY to be with Gault, but when I found out he loves another girl.... /dejected... So then i turned back to Ichigo- I MEAN TORIAN -and tested the waters with him. Since I was a mDPS at the time and he is as well, I never brought him with me. I decided to see what he was about and i found is gentleness and the way he's protective without being really.. I dunno, in your face about it? Anyways, I kind of fell for him His voice being Ichigo's also helps.
  3. I dunno, have you seen how tiny some hutts are? Most notable that one hutt in-charge of the holonet on nar shadda... He's tinier than my tiny twi-lek >< I'd play a hutt though. ...... It would be impossible for them to do the jedi/sith animations through. The two cover classes maybe, and the two ranged definitely (rocket jump would be interesting to see).
  4. I love Taris too... But the quests kind of ruin it for me. It's very hard for me to rememebr where to go for a few objectives for the two sith class lines that go through there (specifically, where the warrior goes into ruins, and the inquisitor has to meet with ashara). I get confused by the maps, to be honest. Also, I hated that there's this one completely skippable corner with about 3 quests, tucked into some nook. The quests themselves were rather satisfying, but I only encountered them once across three characters. That was a shame. And I hated what's-her-goddamn-face apprentice lady. Even on my lightside kiddie, I let her rot. but overall, I really had the feel the the Empire was there to solely eradicate the republic, the cathar were a force to be reckoned with, and rakghouls were a BAD THING. The best part of the entire planet, I think, was the quest where the PC had to stop a jedi who was training intelligent rakghouls... and then you can coerce them to kill him. I was like YAY RAKGHOULS! <3
  5. Species, races, skins, guys; we're all talking about the different playable types of creature, so let's not drudge through picky semantics here and clear that right now. Yes, the playable types aren't all that I hoped to be (I wanted a cathar and a trandoshan T_T) either. but to be fair, they have a decent selection to choose from for all the work that went elsewhere (notably the voice work). So give credit where credit's due I suppose. As for why there aren't playable obviously-near-human-enough-to-not-really-be-too-much-a-gear-factor-or-immersion-factor (such as cathar and maybe kaleesh) I think is that it did come down to a time and resource management... and that leaves it open to an expantion option. Who knows, maybe they do already have a playable rodian but they just couldn't get the helmet bugs out early enough? Maybe they have a playable ithorian somewhere that had a head-implosion problem with helmets and couldn't be pushed out with early betas and was scrapped early? We don't really know for real. so I'm holding out for the expansion idea. There's also the thing what with the wookies... how much uniinie zoomba jawa-speak do you want to hear leveling to 50 and choonie wanna fatinosh Hutteese do you REALLY want to sit through when your rodian talks smack?
  6. i would rather see a flashpoint, and hm fp, LFG finder. It would ideally (in my opinion) be a single server, auto-finder. it would place you in a best suited group of your server to do that flashpoint. But it would also have simultaneous queuing... so i can select Kaon under siege normal, HM false emp, AND black talon HM if I wanted. Ideally it would also have two other options; group quests and planet-wide questing (these two would not be autoselection and you would have to manually ask the person). you can simultaneously queue for those and FPs too. However, once grouped the entries will be wiped and you will see a banner that says "You have been removed from the queues. Reasoning: [here it would say "joined a group" or "flashpoint:Kaon under siege" or whatever you were autoselected for]" I would not mind a LFG tool for operations as well (also not an autoselection) that would show who is willing to group for what op, what difficulty level, and what role they play. However, this entry will not be wiped if you become grouped. Instead on your entry a little box or something will light up saying "this person is currently grouped up" and it could be blue for a normal 4-person party or orange for an op. The planet-wide questing option mentioned earlier could also be either global (specific to that planet) or it could be galactic (anyone anywhere can check to see if someone is wanting to group for tatooine and they can be on alderaan or the fleet or something). That's just my opinion on the ideal system. I'd like it and definitely use it, but not too sure if it's something everyone would want either. I can definitely say that cross server is something I hope never to see again. That's my feedback.
  7. I like to believe that the implant was rejected when she was infected, causing her to no longer be a cyborg and instead she is now a full organic. It's plausible, since rakghouls are supposed to have increased cell divisions, which would imply healing... So whatever happened to the parts of the body the implant affected could have healed back and kicked the metal out of her system. *shrugs* That's what I like to believe
  8. It's awful. Playing with my boyfriend, I have to exit so many scenes and we need to restart them because of the eyes. The only good that's come of it so far is that my boyfriend gets a laugh every time it happens because I scream. It's not a good thing to have happen when sitting in a dark room and then the eyes just disappear.
  9. The Rakghoul event is terrific; I've always liked those types of things. I am assuming there'll be more of the one-the-spot, one-time-only events like the rakghoul event. but what are the plans on getting these out (every major content patch? monthly? trimonthly?) and are there any annual events you have definitely planned? And would there be any type of spontaneous event to do on a lesser scale than rakghoul that would be more common? Like a weekly bounty board to kill a special type of mob on a planet that can aware a random-grab goodie from anything in game?
  10. I'd love to see something that has a channel (or it can have a talent in tanking tree to remove said channel) and a stun duration + damage side like how force choke works.... EXCEPT... It can be called Force Gravity or Grave Force or something like that, and it's animation would be to lift the opponent into the air with the force (by a leg, arm, or neck) and then swing him back tot he ground, making a shockwave (does not need an aoe or splash effect unless numbers can be balanced to do so) and a crater. It would make the inquisitor and warrior feel a bit closer together.... Consulars can use Piercing Nerve or something like that and instead, the consular would reel the guy in and then flip (still holding the guy in a force-hold) and smack the enemy into the ground. Since it's a force hold, it can be used at range like the inquisitor version... and it's not as vicious to go with the good-guy jedi idea. Also, it will feel more active to bring the knight and consular closer together
  11. Nice job BW, collectively. Giving people some wiggle room with something as important as a free month is something that the other gorillas in the room wouldn't. I appreciate that. Gives my friends some time to earn that for themselves, too. So it's very kind. Thank you for extending a voluntary, and generous promotion to your customers. A few of my friends have yet to get a fifty, but with this extra time I'm sure they can get some legacy exp in time. On behalf of them, thank you BW.
  12. "MUUUUURder and MAAAyhem aWAIT" Pronounced EXACTLY as it's written.
  13. GAHAHAHA.. HAHAHAAAHAHAH... HAha... HAH hah... ah... hah... *sniffles* That was *********** hilarious. But yes, that's exactly how it is.

    Credits

There also might be an un-thought-of problem to credits too. You get a single number, one way to process money, in this game. You have the single credit. In some other popular games that some may come from, the money is divided into a base 10 system of platinum, gold, silver or gold, silver, copper or some such. The money itself may have the same value... but it ultimately looks different. 10,000 credits might be 1 gold, 0 silver, 0 copper. If you have to pay a repair that, say, is 54k our of your 84k then... 8,400 - 5,400 = 4,000 ... Looks like a bigger loss than 0g84s0c - 54s = 0g40s0c Relatively, you still have the perception that there's more to worry about than the silver (even if it's the same amount of loss) whereas the credit feels awfully one dimensional. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, it just might also be a perception issue with the feel that things cost too much. NOTE: there may be those that will argue "but money was easier to make, gold was easier to get" Well credit is easier to make. The idea that the first 40 levels you don't ever go beyond a gold is a common recurrence in the one whom I'm basing this idea off of, int he same scope (the 1.0 era).
  15. It really does sound like you are intentionally ignoring any conceivable how-to start guides available to you. This is the first or second thing in the New Player section. If you had enough time to type out this topic, and then go through responses... you have enough time to look at this. I even searched around for you. As you can see there are a lot of options. I'm sure you can find specifics here, with a little noodling. That took me a total of 6 minutes and 42 seconds to gather, copy, and pasting the links. I timed myself. Firefox is slow on my comp. So... Yeah.
  16. Well first off they're not exact mirrors... That's just how it is. you can't have exact mirrors even if all the animations were aligned. you'd also have to take into account that smugglers use blasters (or two blaster) and agents use rifles 9or sniper rifles). Or troopers use assault cannons or rifles and BH uses blasters.... so those classes aren't exact mirrors. There is an issue that's been confirmed fixed in 1.2, about the DFA and mortar times... But personally I think it gives the classes a little more flavor, and would promote more strategy, but that's just me.
  17. You can find better gear off mobs, buy it through commendations (if you have 8 korriban comms you can go back to the fleet and purchase a chest piece in the supplies area, and look for the korriban commendation vendor), or check the GTN. You want strength medium armor. To be honest though, you're a marauder... the only thing squishier is a dps assassin at your level. You kind of have to suck it up for a little bit until the end of balmorra (the next planate after dromund kaas) when you get Malavai Quinn who is a healer. Good luck though.
  18. Well considering right now as things are.... only playing huttball is an issue. To fix that, BW decided "hey, you know what guys? If you guys do a 'training exercise', then you can play the WZ same-faction and it will still technically be okay." And so they have. Why does it make sense? Because if it's an exercise... with say, live ammunition... then you can fight against yourselves and lore-wise, your fact will get a better understanding of how to win the war. Why it's okay to get rewards? You have to pay your guinea pigs, be it in food pellets or commendations. No one can logically disagree with that, right?
  19. Wait... didn't the legacy introduction SAY that if you leveled a 50 smuggler, trooper, consular.... then when you level up your sith warrior that when you buff yourself, you'll get THE FACTION APPROPRIATE BUFF.... I'm pretty sure they said EXACTLY THAT.... and anyways, how the hell does this change privacy unless you watch the guy in question cast his buff? Not to just wave off the superstition here but.... You need to buff your Critical Reading skill...
  20. I'm not quite sure what you're asking for the ability tray... so i'll tell you about healing companions. When you expand their ability tray, they will have two togglable "stances" at the opposite end of the bar from the "attack" and "passive options. As a healer,t hey're called Med Watch and Damage (or something like that). Make sure you click on Med Watch so the little bubble on the button is blue (filled). The companion will now do more healing when it heals. You will notice the abilities for the companion will have a little box in the corner of the icont hat is either empty (dark) or filled (green).... Essentially, if you want your companion to almost always heal, right-click the abilities to fill or empty the box. Filled means your companion WANTS to use that ability. Empty means your companion won't use it. Just make sure the abilities for healing (kolto jolt, med watch, etc) have their boxes filled, and the damage ability (shot) have their boxes empty. Your healer will be better off by himself now. If you want your healer to be fast though, chances are you'll have to manually tell it what to do. And to do that, just use its abilities like they're yours.
  21. It would be a bit too much to redo enough lines to make it noteworthy. There's QUITE enough alien vs. human sentiment in the galaxy to make me do a few dark things that my lightsiders wouldn't do. (PS. Don't make fun of a chick with lekku that can probably fry your innards with a wry glance. ) As for chiss dialogue.... It'd be interesting for some republic accusations. The chiss are supposed to be deeply involved with empire, so seeing a republic chiss would definitely put me on high alert.
  22. When you're picking up Black Box on tattooine, the quest giver is like can you believe all the stupid my crew it! That requries so much paperwork! or something along those lines You have an options to say "I'm certain I didn't say "please, expendable worm, tell me about your life.""
  23. I'd rather see an in-game "casino" where we can get together with buddies (say, in Nar Shaddaa's two floating casinos) and sit around and play pazzac or sabaac
