  1. TBH out of the hundreds of huttball games i've played i can say i've NEVER seen anyone use pull to help team mates out of a fight, i have though across many servers heard players say "who wants to getz pulled ova the line? lolz" in just about every game. This experience leads me to believe that certain posters here are lying... Pull/grapple etc should be Defensive only when used on a ball carrier, the people who are likly to oppose this are people who use the tactic or so logic would dictate rendering their oppinions biased and irrelevant on the matter.
  2. Lies and jealous comments are all i've seen here, get a grip seriously.
  3. Any running/part of a BH guild? I started one on my first server and got quite a few members until the server population dropped amongst other problems and alot of folk left the game, switched servers etc. I've seen all trooper guilds before but no BH/Mandalorian themed ones.
  4. oh have i heard that before.... The ships are too big, especially when compared to their responsiveness during space missions (tinfoil fluttering around the screen anyone??) You should have a detachable fighter size craft for space missions. The bounty hunter ship does feel small though but thats only because it has 2 decks.
  5. There should be dueling arenas on fleet and on planets, with players able to watch. How about facing champion creatures solo in the arena aswell as a 2-4 man team things like krayt dragons, rancors, ackley, vine cats, wampa. and anything else you've got. aslong as it was challenging as opposed to the ones you find out in the world/s. There should definatly be one on tattooine.
  6. Ah well then, it was introduced along with legacy? My point was that legacy is a distraction element that could have been implemented fully later on. Working whats already there and making it more engaging/exciting? should be the priority imo, regardless of the fact that legacy was annonced before launch.
  7. I never had much in the way of high hopes for it anyway, however i did like it intially (something new and shiny, i guess what BIO were going for) but as you might expect it rubs off fairly quickly. The only thing i like so far is the sprint unlock for alts (how tedious was it before eh?) and i started leveling a chiss for the unlock to Pub trooper. They should be working on whats already in the game, e.g Alderaan AKA the most boring location in TOR (aand one of the reasons i hate leveling), if they livened the locations up abit, added distractions for the bored like dueling arenas, activities and things like that players would respond more positively i think and you wouldnt need gimics like legacy. Work on whats there expand and revitalise it, add your FP/ops/warzones and things will be better for all instead releasing something a little bit half-cocked and shouting LOOK AT THE SHINY! Most people are wise to this nowadays, if bioware want to be loved for this they need to consolidate and work for it, their rep and influence can only take them so far.
  8. I've played BH mostly since the start and never seen a custom version of that chest piece. Although my current lvl 30 has the second item (augmented) with = level mods. TBH its well known to me atleast that BH's get pretty naff gear until level 35-40 ish and even then it isnt great stuff. Why you would want this item as custom idk, i serously doubt anybody would buy it.
  9. I've said since day one the economy in TOR was weak and got flamed by hardcore brown nosers, i'm currently levelling a PT with all orange gear (i make my own armour) at level 20 i started pvping to level, now at level 27 i'm having quite a hard time finding mods etc on the GTN. I even started asking in local on fleet if there were any cybertech traders who could make decent stuff... I think you should be able to buy = level mods etc from a vendor (for creds not just commendations), with crafted stuff getting a small boost in stats to keep it sellable.
  10. If someone discovers an exploit then they should report it to bioware, by not doing so and using the exploit for their own gains they are cheating just the same as any hacker. This should result in a complete ban. As for those who believe that the results of punishments are not our business, i say the complete opposite, these people should be named and shamed and their punishment held up as an example. Otherwise how are we as a community supposed to have any confidence in bioware? For all we know they do nothing at all to these people, i for one want proof that they deal with these players accordingly.
  11. DR, apart from the "its all about story" line. Well if we are looking at this as a story first game, and many here have said you cant have endless supplies of story, then why is it an MMO?? Why am i paying to replay content?? Unless they focus on other aspects to give us justification for the monthly sub. Endgame is the life blood, because in a year or two once you've played the stories through your goin to realise exactly why this isnt an MMO. Thats where bioware has shot themselves in the foot with this, lifespan.
  12. First take that snooker ball outta your mouth Second, this is a character driven game, how you look is pretty important to a helluva lot of players. Getting things like this right is what bioware should be concentrating on and telling the PVP cry babies to Shut their whinging faces.
  13. Well something should be made public, afterall how are we to know that they actually do ANYTHING about legitimate complaints?? This might be the online gaming culture but at the end of the day its us as players paying their wages and i cant say at all that i'm confident that bioware or any other games company does enough on these matters.
  14. Because they didnt bother putting the graphics in? sometimes neither of the swords show up depending on what type you are using. I did the same thing, but i switched to using one lightsaber and a vibrosword if you put them in the right hands (main or offhand) then both the saber on my belt and vibrosword on back showed up. I think vibroswords should be sheathed at you side personally. 9oh the vibro needs to be main hand to show up holstered
  15. hmmm, i ignore the space missions atm, even if it was something like the space combat in battlefront 2 it would be better. How about having improved on rail missions for your frigate (i.e not fluttering round the screen like a piece of tinfoil in a gale force wind) AND giving players a small fighter craft for more indepth 3D space missions?
  16. Dont complicate things please, bioware are having a hard time with the basics as it is. shouldnt this be in suggestions?
  17. I reckon the unify "feature" is pretty terrible to point i wonder why TF it was implemented it in the first place. I mean i even dont particularly understand the point about pieces of armour from a "set" being unchangeable because my armour isnt a full set by choice as i found a good look with various different armour components but cant unify the helm (T visor merc hat). As for the low level stuff, well why would a tramp want colour coded clothes? because thats what low level gear effectivly looks like anyway matching colours or no. They should have took the time to implement a decent colouring system rather than this nonsense.
  18. Sorry to have offended your magnificence (insignificance?) by stating what SWTOR is in reality, but incase you didnt read my post (which evidently you didnt) i said i can only take the game in small doses, which would imply i still play on occassion. (30 free days for example, and perhaps the odd month sub if new future content is promising)
  19. My main is Merc Arsenal and i never PVP with it, I like a challenge but frustration is the name of the game for arsenal in PVP unless your supported. I love it for PVE though. I hear good things about PT in PVP so i think i'll try that.
  20. This is terrible, you should report them to trading standards or FTC or whatever the hell it is.... (Joke)
  21. I quite agree with the OP on this and have asked myself the very same thing (particularly in the mind numbingly boring parts of this game - you all know they exsist.) The fact is Bioware didnt want to take the chance of breaking the mould and having it fail, they wanted to try and poach players from the likes of WoW with a familiar platform in terms of the core gameplay (i.e during the parts when your actually controlling the toon) and being noobs to the MMO scene it was much easier for bioware to look at what others had done and replicate it. Adding of course their own expertise in the form of the story. I believe this to be a somewhat accurate and truthful view on the why SWTOR is what it is, on the grounds of common sense. SWTOR is not ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination, it's simply a mesh of biowares own stlye of story driven RPG with MMO grind mechanics (spoiled by?) As for alternatives? well atleast other genres disguise the grindyness, Biowares attempt at this was using the storylines however the actual gameplay itself has basically been left as a blatant grind. This is the reason i unsubbed because i can only take this sort of game in small doses despite loving SW and even Biowares story content. They missed a real opportunity to do something different with SWTOR, obviously they were lacking in vision and backbone with regards to trying new things.
  22. Why would you be interested in anyone elses OWN storyline?? If this is MY saga, what does it have to do with you? The choice to follow whichever path you want should be presented to the player, you dont have to go LS/DS. Its just very strange that my DS Jedi is still running round shouting "For the republic!" at level 50 even though he displayed outright contempt for the republic and its LS ideals all the way through the game...
  23. With the storylines being a pretty major part of this game (if not the whole game) has the ommission of cross faction storylines hurt the game? The DS/LS points system is pretty weak from even a general RPG outlook, the lets pretend we are loyal to the empire but really good guys thing or the opposite with pretty much zero consequences. isnt really cutting it. I mean most of the major SW stories are based around the fall to the darkside or save the lightside theme and now this is our chance to have our OWN saga and this component is non exsistent I know how much work would have been needed to implement this and the likly reaction from whiners crying about potential faction imbalance problems etc (as if that wasnt already an issue, but ***) Still seems very wrong and un-SW like for this element not to be ingame.
  24. Seriously, its a success? how can you say that after a month or so? 6 months, revisit your "success" statement.
  25. Its due to a complete lack of diversity throughout this game. In all aspects.
