  1. Have no idea what gear I use; ratings are between 112 and 116 for bracers, and upwards to 156 for pieces acquired on Oricon. Most of it was purchased on Makeb. My rotations are from the named source, though these troublesome Bosses were blue-printed from a kind poster that got me to the final Dread Master, Commander Zaoron. This one I cannot best; defeated more than 30 attempts between my two characters including lag deaths. The thing is IMO, one should not have to research tutorials on these battles, watch vids, encounter the same foes due to fast respawns (esp the wandering Silver and Golds ), etc. The most enjoyment I have had was finding paths to the last battle with the fewest encounters met along the way to reduce armor. And this simply feels like a game of Lemmings. It is kinda nice on occasion to meet some encounters on lower scaled Missions that die easily due to my reputed power; not have most every guard and beast require full ammo unloads to best.
  2. I am playing either a 55th lvl Gunnery Trooper or Merc Arsenal. I am having troubles on Makeb (now finished) and Oricon. Some of my gear was acquired from these two locations (ie; armors, mods).
  3. Yeppers; utilizing Healers in fairly decent gear, and they generally live long enough for me to try the linked abilities that require Companions. Am guessing that I have simply reached my own limit of reaction speed. Someone has kindly posted decent blueprints for defeating Bosses, but after aver a score of attempts on this last one, have chosen to leave that story for now. Based on the lost resources used to attempt this final battle, I could have purchased said gear for both of my active PC's.
  4. Again, am using the best Gear I have found or purchased in solo PvE. But I choose not to use the GTN or other m/p areas other than some solo FP's for story content. Simply put, I play solo and do not rely upon others in game to help. And I am also somewhat disappointed that this game is reliant on specific gear and tactics to succeed. When one has to watch instructional vids, research tips for Bosses, rely on a specific set of items not supplied as Mission gear, etc to complete storylines, then seemingly something is less than satisfactory.
  5. Techless One here, but I can imagine that the same code that allows for instant activation currently could be matched to Green Zones, an added ability, etc. No real loss of Zots as it could be done based on extant tech.
  6. Also, this goes double for the wandering NPC's. It is often painful to kill a Gold on patrol, then have him appear at your back while finishing the nearby group, then have them reappear as you are finishing him again.
  7. In occasions with others such as PvP, Groups, Heroics, I tend to agree. But in areas that only have solo play, such a Refresh would speed things along quite nicely. I cannot see the benefit for unnecessary waiting for anyone.
  8. The respawn times on NPC's in certain areas are seemingly much too fast. Recently while on Oricon, the same groups, Silver, and Golds on the great steps are returning to do battle again while one finishes the nearby encounter. And because one must travel from a single distant Med Station, they are met every time one returns to fight the Boss. Please allow for longer Respawn periods so that the same encounters are not overlapping. Thanks!
  9. I understand why there is a need for long Cooldowns in a game with PvP, but it is frustrating to have to wait four minutes for Unity, a couple of minutes for Shields, ten minutes for Legacy abilities, etc between PvE fights, esp for the same Boss you fail to kill, and when you must also wait for other events in the game, too. How about allowing PvE only Players a way to refresh abilities quickly? While I know this is a MMO, many here only play solo and/ or only PvE. In such a case, this possible should not hurt anyone. If it is considered too harsh for the general environs, how about such a Refresh for the Green story areas? Thank you!
  10. Took a few attempts for both PC's, but the delay in Defensive abilities worked. Thanks for the advice; hope others can also benefit from these tips.
  11. Thanks! Will try and save those defenses for Round Two.
  12. No; would prefer the current Space Missions get more tactical choices for completions. A single tactic or item should not be required, as it leads to repetition and forced purchases.
  13. I had to rename a few when I returned; found my Old School usage of repeating letters to be helpful. For instance in D&D, I would often use double-letters for Elves, such as Llandon, Llamron, or Brynn.
  14. Thanks! I have not lived long enough to get interrupted much at all, but have tried varied Companions for little difference. I finally chose to keep the healer to allow for the linked abilities, as long as they live anyway. At least my healing companions are properly geared, or they would not be as effective as they have been since 50th lvl.
