  1. Yeah, pretty much. It doesn't really influence whether I sub to a game or not either.
  2. Not sure if serious... Maybe the issue isn't them trying to police your spending. Maybe they have some metric they use to decide how much they want people spending at any given time.
  3. I wasn't really thinking subscriber vs f2p. I would much rather be a sub than f2p. I was just referring to bonuses as being a subscriber in general. A lot of games have done it like Aion, FFARR, UO. Like I said, some people like them in this game, and that's cool. I'm really not complaining, they are unexpected bonuses on top of the monthly cartel coins. Just because I only liked the Taun-Taun (which I think was really cool) and this mount is an extremely ugly re-skin doesn't mean I'm going to un-sub. I wouldn't really care if we never received another bonus, but as a subscriber It would be nice to see less stuff in the cartel market and more/different drops in game that we are subbing to play. That would be a bonus.
  4. You do realize the guy you quoted posted that 2 years ago, a couple months after release, before augments were even in the game and endgame was HM EV/KP? I wish we had augments back then, would have helped a little against double tick lightning balls.
  5. Good luck with that. But all you are doing is annoying customer service reps and preventing them from dealing with real issues by forcing them to look into your petty whining and moaning about trivial issues. http://www.swtor.com/legalnotices/rulesofconduct "Harassment consists of misuse and/or abuse of game mechanics and verbal harassment with the intention of distressing and offending other players. Game mechanics allow players to interact with the world and each other. For example, the ability to block a doorway is a game mechanic. Use of game mechanics like these is by no means considered harassment in and of itself. The key to determining whether the mechanic is being misused or abused is to determine "intent." Reported incidents are not considered harassment until it is determined by the SWTOR CS that it was done to intentionally to cause distress or to offend other players."
  6. I think most of the complaints stem from the idea that when it comes to subscriber appreciation and awards SWTOR comes in just about dead last when compared to other subscription games. Sure, the fireworks, mounts, titles, and pets are a bonus. It just seems like a lot of the stuff was designed to sell in the Cartel Market and they thought, we aren't going to be able to sell this, just give it to the subscribers so they can't say we didn't give them any bonuses. I appreciate that some folks like the bonuses, and that's cool. I just think they have all been lackluster with the exception of the Taun-Taun pet. This is just my opinion and in the grand scope I realize they didn't really have to give us anything. I don't think BW/EA is worried about long term customer retention, and that's their business model. They want the quick cash from the Cartel Market and I am sure they make more money off it than subs. In modern day mmo's, subscribers have become the seconds class citizens to the people dumping money in the cash shops (It is a business, what do you expect?). Loyalty is not a quality that businesses care about anymore.
  7. There is absolutely no reason they should change the color crystals. If anything, they will remove the stat from the crystal to make them purely cosmetic and add another modification slot to take the place of the stats removed. I think they have even eluded to this. These should remain BIS until they make them cosmetic only.
  8. PvE = Player vs Environment PvP = Player vs Player NPC = Environment It's not really that big of a deal, they do respawn you know, and fairly quickly. It's pretty funny what people consider griefing these days.
  9. This is really cool. Congratulations!
  10. Ha, I don't know why it stuck. There was a poster over there at one time spreading the term color brigade around quite a bit. It ended up in general because you guys are legendary forumites over in the Star Wars discussion.
  11. Meh...there is no harm being done, and some of these people deserve recognition. ex, Dulfy.
  12. You forgot a few... BadOrb Blackardin Daellia (numbers cruncher min maxer, knows his ****) Aubere Beniboybling LadyKulvax ...and the rest of the color brigade
  13. 6 weeks later and not even a confirmation this a bug. Cheers BW.
  14. C'mon, it's been over 3 weeks since release. At least an acknowledgment would be cool.
  15. Alright I'll eat my words. That's pretty impressive, bravo.
  16. Maybe, I just find it very hard to believe that he went 141 matches without getting on a bad team. Not questioning his skill level, just the 11 other random people, or 8 and 3 party. He must have pretty damn good pre-made to pull this off.
  17. Let me be the first to call BS on 141 to 0. If true, sorry, that sucks.
  18. I am not seeing her on my Inquisitor either. She is the only companion for the offensive slot that gives two working passives for the gunship. Increased accuracy and arc. All of the other companions, at least for the Inquisitor, have at least one offensive passive (increased ammo capacity and secondary reload time) that is useless for the gunship. So I would assume this is a bug, but it would be nice to get an official word.
  19. Any word from a Dev on this yet?
  20. "don't belong", "is not", "it's suppose to", <-- um... this isn't other space games. What original type of game? What are you even taking about? WWII in space? Sorry, but BW never indicated that. A lot of people are enjoying the original type of game, it's called GSF and it has gunships. This is GSF and this is how GSF was created, get over it. Also, how the heck would anybody know what would happen in a real space battle, IT"S FICTION. on the subject of OP: Of course PvP wouldn't be PvP without people complaining that something is OP when they don't take the time to L2P. Scouts should be doing what scouts do, SCOUTING, spotting, relaying enemy locations, etc. Play as a team and gunships won't be an issue.
  21. I noticed this on my Inquisitor as well. She was there when I logged on my jugg though. It kind of sucks, because she is the only good companion for the offensive slot in the Gunship for imps. This has to be a bug.
  22. We should all get free top tier gear too as soon as we hit 55, because I hate being required to actually do the content that's required to get the gear. Fully augmented of course. In fact, I just want to log in and have everything because I don't have time to earn it. That way I don't have to play and can just log in and look at my uber stats, pat myself on the back and log out.
  23. No one is QQ'ing about this right now. That was until you went and necro'd this thread, good job. Now there will be.
