  1. Trolls and micro-transactions are the 2 reasons I don't play F2P games. You think the community is bad now??? Wait until F2P.
  2. Actually, it only reduces physical and kinetic damage. Internal damage bypasses armor.
  3. Loading...Please wait... I wait...It's not THAT long...
  4. I actually use Playclaw 3 - Download here. Not only does it do movies, it also takes screenshots...ANYTIME so you can use it for taking screens of cut scenes if you like. There's quite a few overlay options too for extra info. The free version has a floating watermark in the vids. so it's basically free if you don't mind the watermark. You can also purchase for $29.95. It's one of the better video/screen cap programs out there.
  5. According to the transfer FAQ, the higher level legacy will take effect. http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/5313
  6. You should be using a willpower stim. I'd also suggest leveling a bit. He was an easy fight when I was 2 levels above him. The fight that sucked for me was the one on Nar Shadaar when you fight Paladius (and his 2 guards). As a Sith Sorcerer, starting the fight with 0 force sucked big time...Died and came back with full force and wiped the floor with him. I found that by doing all the planet's quests and bonus quests usually meant I was 1-2 levels from the top end of the next planet I was going to. When you get your spaceship, the space missions provide quite a bit of XP too.
  7. Not sure what your issue is, but I have yet to have any issues crashing from SWTOR. Rift, on the other hand, every time I port back to Meridian...BAM!! Desktop. At least it recovers and logs your character back in after you submit an error report. If some people are crashing and not others, it seems that it's probably a hardware issue or driver issue. It's only Bioware's fault if EVERYONE is having these issues.
  8. Don't know how many games you've been to, but if you show up 15 mins before kickoff, you're going to miss it anyway. Will take you longer than that to get through security and get to your seat. Since you're complaining about BST, I assume by football you mean soccer. Not sure if the lines are the same for soccer matches.
  9. I actually like that idea. You can still be in a local group if you're queued as cross server. Queing for cross-server shouldn't limit you to ONLY cross-server groups. It just "allows" you to create your group from members of other servers. Even then, I don't really see the advantage of cross-server over local. You are still populating the same group makeup ratio: 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps. Cross server you'll just have more DPS competing for the 2 DPS spots. You'll still be waiting on tanks and healers.
  10. How about they fix the server stability and bugs with Diablo III? I, for one am glad I didn't get the game yet. At least SWTOR was playable at launch.
  11. I'm a Powertech Pyro. All I can say is DAMN, I thought I dropped mobs fast as a Sith Sorc! I just run through areas laying waste to anything in my path.
  12. It's called conduction. The heat from the flamethrower bleeds into your armor...heating you up.
  13. Our guild uses MOX. I haven't had any crash issues. It's pretty easy to use. The raid leader just generates a RAID ID and shares the public key with the rest of us. Nice and handy to see HPS and DPS. Nice if you're running dual monitors.
  14. I have a Sith Assasin and Sith Sorcerer. One is Light and the other is Dark. Around level 40, I started seeing differences in the quest dialog. Was rather interesting to see how the NPC's responded differently to each character. Although for those of you that just spacebar through the dialog, you'll never notice the difference.
  15. In related news, AT&T is reporting a 25% reduction in dropped calls on thier cellular network...Coincidence? Reference: http://money.cnn.com/2012/01/09/technology/att_network_gets_better/index.htm
  16. I believe the proper response in this game is, "Do, or do not...There is no try."
  17. I'm in mostly Tionese and Columi gear and my DPS in hard mode ops is around 950 DPS. In HM EV on the 1v1 fight, I can hit 1,100 dps since I don't need to move and can just nuke. My rotation is Death Field, Force Lightning to proc wrath, Crushing darkness (lightning strike if crushing darkness on CD), Affliction, Creeping Terror, Shock. By the time I get through that, Death field is off CD and I just repeat.
  18. MMORPG's are not for you then. Like others have stated. If you're getting burned out, take a break.
  19. But we all know Star Wars takes place "A LONG LONG TIME AGO, In a galaxy far far away" It's not in the future!!!
  20. Star Wars' version of the "Fastball Special"
  21. In the beginning levels (8-35) Khem is a bad-*** tank. As long as you gear him like a tank, he's unstoppable. I've recently begun having trouble with him starting at level 43 where he'd be at 20-30% health at the end of a -2 level strong. I hought everything would change once I got Xalek, but he's just as squishy, if not more. Hell, I survive better as a madness spec sorc at the upper levels tanking and having Talos healing me. I'm NEVER below 80% health, and the only time I need to stop is when I'm low on force power. When a tank is squishier than a caster, there's something wrong.
  22. Reminds me of the Zombie event in Wow. Stay out of the cities, hangout in the wilderness with Track Undead up. Any dots that appear on your map, SHOOT first, ask questions later.
  23. Here's my rotation from a previous post. I was level 32 at the time... At 44, here's my priority list: Death Field Force Lightning(to proc wrath) Crushing Darkness(instacast after wrath proc) Creeping Terror Affliction Shock Force storm (aoe) Lighting strike (instacast after wrath proc) As far as spell rotation as a Madness spec sorc, I do the following. This assumes you take the Madness talent "Wrath" for the insta-cast spells, and Madness talent so Force lightning has no cooldown. Elites: Shield Khem, Send him in while casting Lightning Strike. Cast Death Field, Shock, Affliction, Force Lightning, If Wrath procs, Crushing Darkness, or if it's on cooldown, Lightning Strike. If shield drops recast on Khem as soon as static discharge debuff goes away. Keep Death Field up for the extra damage. Groups that contain a strong: Shield Khem, Send him in to attack the strong. Drop a Death field in the group. Shock a weak mob then force lightning. Use wrath procs to do crushing darkness on strong mob. repeat shock and force lightning on any remaining weak mobs. Finish of strong with Force lightning and crushing darkness/lightning strikes from wrath proc. Groups with no strong: Send Khem in, Drop a Death field, Force lightning until everything is dead. I've never had to heal Khem in a fight. I'm currently level 32 on my sorc. Current Build:Madness 0/4/31
  24. Actually, all they need to do is reduce the size of his "hit box" If you notice with him standing next to you, you don't actually have to mouse over him to get the chat reticule. You'll get it when your mouse is a good 2 inches away from him...THAT is the problem. His hit box is HUGE. From a "practical programming point of view" that's how to fix the problem.
