  1. Ok so the alert says that the servers will be offline at 8am BST (or whatever is relevant for your particular timezone). What I do not appreciate, is the server going offline at 7.45am BST. That's a full quarter of an hour before the announced time! I was in the middle of a quest when I got booted out. I will probably now log in having been killed, and will now have to clear the whole area again to get the quest done. My playtime this morning was based on the 8am downtime, and had that been adhered to, I'd have been able to complete the quest, hand it in, and then log out in a safe area. I know this doesn't mean much to many of you, however when something is declared as being scheduled, it's kind of the decent thing to do to adhere to that schedule.
  2. Wow, someone woke up out of the wrong side of the wrong bed. So I break down the benefits of the medpac and state that it is useful for everyone. How is that 'spamming' an answer? Maybe it's really the question that's useless, and not the answer? Anyways, you're a douche.
  3. Actually, you can 'upgrade' from a standard to a CE, but it requires actually purchasing the CE if you can find one, and then inputting the code in your account management page here on swtor.com. Done it myself and there were no issues whatsoever. Just make sure the item you buy is an unopened CE or an UNUSED CE code.
  4. The Rakata medpac is used (surprise, surprise), as a medpac. Anyone who needs medpacs will benefit from these, and they are NOT consumed. This marvel of biochemical engineering is not consumed on use. This is WIN Use: Restores 3750 to 4575 health and increases maximum health by 15% for 15 seconds. Only usable once per fight. WIN #2
  5. About the legacy unlocks. Pay once, get them unlocked on all characters. That's how it works, so what is unfair about this? If you have 8 alts and not much credits, then there is something seriously wrong with the way you are earning your credits.
  6. Guild banks etc are fine since the databases which comprise the back end server operation will all still exist. The problem is with the front end I/O and the graphical interface - i.e. the end user game clients. I am sure that what Bioware are actually working on is server client and game client implementation. The databases will still be intact so nothing should be lost. As with all new software builds, this takes time and will have to be tested. Regardless of whether this morning's patch was tested properly, Bioware will HAVE to test the new rebuild they are working on. This is why we have the downtime we are seeing today.
  7. To the guys questioning which other MMOs had 3 days of constant bugs around patch time... A certain other popular MMORPG had approximately 3 weeks of constant server issues following the release of a content update containing a 40 man 'Jungle Themed' raid instance. Servers crashed, animations didnt play properly, ping times were appalling. Sure you guys really really want to demonize Bioware, but you cant say this sort of thing isnt common in MMORPG gaming. There are so many variables you can't formulate a hard and fast QA process which satisfies everyone.
  8. But what about the people who play at 12am? The crying will continue.
  9. 200 comms is like 1 week of farming dailies. If it takes you 1 month to get 200, then you aren't doing enough dailies.
  10. I did an actual ROFL at that.
  11. ^^ This. Oh my days, 100x this.
  12. I want a multicolored UI with polkadots.
  13. I dont know what this thread is about, seriously people will cry over anything. Bioware give you 3 themes to change to just as a starter, and the UI looks the same as it ever has been until you change it. Since you can reset to default, why is this an issue?
  14. Go watch a movie or something? Go to sleep early, or go pester some senior citizens for some candy? Surely you must have something else you can do for one freaking evening? Servers aren't localized down the street from every player, so as a consequence, they can't satisfy everyone's playtime preference. Is that so hard to understand? Or would you rather the servers were localized, because I can guarantee then that they would be even more dead than they are now! Common sense. Get some.
