Each region/type of server pretty much has only one destination it's being transfered to. Go there, need for transfers obliterated.

Seriously, in the last few days they've given us the next patches patch notes, a firm date for the start of character transfers everyone was saying we wouldn't see until July, and a high-level overview of some of the content that's currently "in the pipeline". Meanwhile, Blizzards post doesn't have a date attached. Their game was released incomplete, despite them having said for the last few years it'd be "out when it's finished", and they had the worst launch issues of any other single player game in history. I prefer Bioware, to be honest.

Where have you seen this? The new operation and flashpoints mentioned at E3 are surely post-1.3 content patches.

At press conferences, companies have to show things that haven't been seen by the press before. Presenting something that's already been mentioned as being under development won't get as many articles on the gaming web sites. This is simple common sense.

The haven't had a four hour downtime in quite a while. Nearly always it's back up within two.

Yes. Either way, the premise of this thread is flawed. BW have not promised anything like what it states in the OP.

They're likely not going to offer transfers from all the light servers to the 1 or 2 consistenly heavy ones in each region. They'll offer transfers from some of the light servers to some of the other light servers, so as to bring the overall population on this range of servers.

1.1 was released on a Wednesday and 1.2 was released on a Thursday, neither on a Tuesday. Making guesses about any of these things is just making up rumours. When BW have a more firm date range in mind, they'll specify it. Until then, we're just going in circles.

Galaxies also did a round of server merges about 18months before the end. It had several planets with no "end game" location like the Fleet in SWTOR, so it was entirely possible to just not see anyone. I can't imagine SWTOR will go FTP at any point in the near future (say a year from now). Anything is possible of course, but as long as it's profitable as a subscription game (which it surely is), it will remain one. Although people seem to think an MMO needs many millions of users to be profitable, this is just not the case. $15 million / month will easily cover BW/EA's costs with a tidy profit, and as they "pay off" the debt of original development, their profit margin just increases.

So far, there has been a bare minimum of information available about what is going to be contained in update 1.3. With that in mind, there are really only two sensible questions: What are the features of 1.3? How far into development of it are you? Of course, confirmation on whether Ranked WZ will indeed be introduced prior to 1.3 would be a good thing also.

I really doubt that this is the case. I can't imagine they held off on what many consider a crucial feature because of the world event. It just doesn't make sense. That said, I agree that we should see them shortly. Either in or before 1.3 (probably in, I doubt they'd be allowed by marketting to put such a new feature in an "minor" patch number - but the Devs did say that they wanted it before). I mean, they're basically done, aren't they? They existed on the PTS. It's just they need to fine-balance scoring and stuff.

Why say something is fixed, when it isn't? Personally, I never had an issue with earpieces - they seemed to work correctly - but implants are still not working for companions.

Well, they're not picking the questions for the Q&A at random. If the answer would simply be "we have no current plans on that", then they're not going to pick that question... I don't see why people would assume it's a conspiracy on Bioware's part... they're just being selective with the questions. And they've learnt, I think, not to give rough timescales anymore. After everyone crying that they "lied" about the Australian transfers being in late April in early April.
