  1. I think it is a very reasonable request to be honest. This is at the end of the day a consumer product, and the desire of the end user, notably us the paying subscriber should be reflected in their policy making and the direction they take when adding features and content. For the most part I feel they do listen as regards certain aspects of the game, such as player housing about to be introduced, PvP requests etc. But I think the actual core CSR policy needs a shake up. I think it should be a no-brainer that cross server transfers should be able to take place, cross-continent too from European to American servers. It is one of a raft of options the player should have available. transferring bound items between other characters in your legacy is my biggest gripe. The times I have been grinding for gear on a character whilst my main has something already sat gathering dust in the bank account. It screams 'artificial content' to me, as it is making your spend longer in a game than you actually need to, just because of a silly restriction that has not been well thought out. I think as you said the introduction of a paid transfer would give EA more revenue of course, which they are never going to turn down. So I therefore think the fact that they haven't already implemented this means there is another reason why they are reluctant to do so. Who knows, maybe this will make them start to consider your request, which I have heard asked myself many times. Good luck.
  2. I must admit even though I am very happy with 2.7 on the whole, I think the old shaggy sheep armour should have stayed confined to the SWTOR embarrassing history archives....I have seen Elton John look less ridiculous wearing full drag!
  3. Well I never saw the event, so please give us slightly newer players a chance to see it, literally missed it by a few days!!!
  4. Fantastic, definitely gets the credit she deserves right there!
  5. I think this update is quite rich really considering some of the bleak and barren updates we have had previously, they have put a lot of work into it and this is after all only just the beginning of a new story arc so there is the promise of more to come. People are too quick to start ringing the death bell every time Bioware release something....I could understand it if they released nothing...at least they are trying. It seems like they can't win, 'here is some more content'...community response....'meh this game is crap'...i mean ***? lol
  6. Well it is supply and demand, if the demand is there and people are paying those prices, then there will be a supply of items listed at that price, simple economics really. Especially if supply is in such high demand that actual availability is suffering, therefore the more limited stocks will of course continue to escalate in price. Only when abundance returns and people begin to drive the prices down by undercutting will the market bottom out in these currently expensive commodities. I don't think it is a good idea to put a cap or glass ceiling at the top of the pricing scale as that is a restrictive economic tactic. I think it is better the market be more fluid and set by the player and what he is willing to pay. If someone has the money to buy a component at 25 million credits then so be it. Any restrictions in an MMO will always be a bad thing I think when it comes to player choices.
  7. Yeah Voss as a new species would definitely add a slice of variety and of course the options that a new species gives for character creation / species changes. I don't know there is just something about them that doesn't really appeal, I would still love to see the more prominent species lie the Togruta or Nautolan first. But hey any new species is a step int he right direction so it is fine by me!
  8. Yeah having beena guild leader on SWG it was a great guild system, being able to mass mail all of your members etc...alas no such functionality here I think that is one addition for the guild that will really help....after they have finished giving us a fancy guild starship
  9. Yeah I am of the camp that thinks that colour crystals should be nothing more than a cosmetic choice....I don't mind if one has to purchase lots of cartel packs to achieve certain colours, follow a long drawn out questline to achieve others, or even get lucky on a super-rare loot drop for a few. I think the stat situation is ridiculous with them, one only has to look at the GTN and (on The Red Eclipse at least) you are lucky to see a +41 Power Hawkeye Crystal for less than 500-600k each. Of course if they are in game I am going to want one, as we need the stat boost, but would much rather the colours were not connected to stats in this way. Anyone remember the SWG Lightsaber building systems? We had a colour crystal which of course denoted blade colour, but we has a separate Power Crystal which gave the stat boost, even looted Perfect and Flawless Krayt Dragon Pearls were used in place of power crystals as well. I for one preferred that system to be honest.
  10. Yeah I did see this not long after release, but to be honest it was obvious from the outset that it was going to be a glorified Facebook type game mixed with a kids activity studio, it had no MMO connection beyond the creation of a character and selection for a class, which was more akin to the avatars you create on a PS3 Home system to wander around on, or even an Xbox Avatar. Not surprised it has gone, was definitely a kids outing.

  12. I think in order for the game to progress, they inevitably need to increase the level cap or it will stagnate, like somebody said, look at WoW about to introduce a level 100 update, and as I recall from my SWG days they jumped to level 80 and I think they went to 90 too? Maybe someone can remind me it has been so long. It is a natural part of the growth and evolution to see level cap increases. The problem comes when they don't release the new content that accompanies it, so naturally you will have you 50 and 55 HM / NM runs, but they need some new OP's that cater only for the higher, say level 60 Cap limit, and maybe a new even harder mode of existing OP's aimed at the new level 60's. It will happen, just a case of when and how they will handle it, and of course how well it is implemented
  13. Simply put, better than ever and growing all the time, yes there are wrinkled and glitches her and there but nothing that worries me personally, long may this game grow and continue to be great!
  14. Anyone who kept an eye on the website for 1313 knew that this was a lame duck early on....there was no information coming out, no development news, not even a single update on the website.....every time some website reported having more info on 1313, it was the same trailer video showing the early gameplay footage, never anything new. Nah, put this one out of your mind, it has disappeared into the ether now, say farewell...
  15. I think it will be based on your existing crew skills, although a new one would be great, like the Architect profession we had in SWG! I think it will work for example, if Synthweavers make soft furnishings, such as new sofas or beds etc, Artificers could make ornate statues (maybe gem encrusted using existing colour crystals) Bio's could maybe craft exotic Star Wars versions of Bonsai trees, etc etc, you get the idea. I think it will give a great new facet to the crew skills and really broaden and expand their potential, not only from a game play point of view, but also profitability....and you just know we will see all kinds of rare decorative schematics dropping too I can't wait!
  16. This is a massive step in the right direction Bioware, no, it may not have the ultimate customization experience that was the SWG housing system, but in this type of game environment it is a real bonus to be given what we are getting later this year. Too much negativity surrounds this game, I think you are doing a great job and I applaud your additions, keep up the good work!
  17. Yeah I loved the SWG housing system, not only was it reliant on a crafter to make the house, but you had lots of different sizes / designs / capacities including guild hall etc, and you could have more than one, place your own NPC vendors inside to sell your items to visitors. You could drop anything in them to act as a decorative display piece as well as having millimeter control over their positioning / angle / height / rotation....this was one of the most awesome aspects of SWG, and indeed (and I am going out on a limb here) probably one of the best created and implemented aspects to be included in any MMORPG to date. I mean christ, you could even decorate the interior of your ships the same way, we had luxury yachts, kitted out to be portable collection museums and some were opulent homes in space. I remember having a full size rancor pet on my yacht! Alas with the core programming of SWTOR I think we are going to see limited control over the homes, and we can pretty much rule out persistence, you need the open world expanse of SWG for that, not the narrow instanced world of SWTOR. For planetisde housing at least. I think we will see green / red door common entrances for everyone and probably end up with a common cookie cutter home, with maybe a few clickable mount points for certain cartel market / looted items to be displayed, I can potentially see the possibility of using the dye packs in the house, so for example drop a black / blue dye in one clickable slot and end up with blue walls and black floors. It will be a quite cynical exercise in increasing the amount of cartel items, it may even attract its own pack, I am sure there will be rare items that drop like a life size statue of Revan or something for a floor display slot, maybe a picture or two for the wall slots. A shame really but I think most people can realistically see it will be a token gesture as opposed to a full blown SWG style housing implementation...
  18. Yeah that is pretty awesome, we did something similar in SWG with all of our full sized AT-ST pets.....when we had them .....great work and orchestration!
  19. I agree, loved Dantooine on SWG, Kashyyyk was also cool there too. I am like one of the other posters though, I really enjoyed Naboo on SWG, but it was full of friggin' Gungans! I think the best part about the Gungans on SWG, was the fact that there were wild ones roaming around the wilderness....and we got to kill them....so yes please put it in SWTOR so we can relive the Jar Jar massacre again! For me personally I would like to see a major update where we finally get to play the Nautolan species, and it would nice to have a complete package, and get their home world of Glee Anselm as well!....A man can dream lol
  20. Any company from a purely business point of view can see the cartel market style model is a no brainer for any new MMO, or indeed if you look at the bewildering range of pay-2-play games out there, you can see that it is indeed a model that is here to stay. After all, why only extract a token amount each month in subscriptions when you can have a constant tantalizing array of items to buy with real world money to swell that revenue well beyond anything that subscriptions alone could furnish. With the slight edge of pay-2-win to some of the items they will always attract a steady stream of income. Surprised that it is in ESO?...Not that I will be playing it, but no, not surprised at all, I would be more surprised if it wasn't in!
  21. The new Rancor mount....adding to the lag and blocking clickable terminals on a fleet near you anytime soon lol
  22. As an old SWG refugee I have to say....Creature Handler, you can align to either Republic or Empire, but the profession will be the same regardless, I think that would be the best way off adding a new class, same profession, you choose the alignment.
  23. Yeah have a friend who is Twi'lek who still has this armour from some time ago, it fits just as the images show and your lekku in effect just disappear, so basically you just look like an armoured human.
  24. They will start appearing in packs first I think, probably the next Cartel Pack to come along (and not the one already previewed on Dulfy waiting to be released, I mean the next announced pack.) It will of course be a full on Cartel Coin exercise and you will be very lucky to see reskin variants dropping from Nightmare bosses or appearing on Comm vendors any time in the foreseeable future i'm afraid
