  1. I have found that of course selling items on the GTN from packs, if you are lucky enough to land some rarer items, is always a quick and effortless way of earning money. I made nearly 8 million from selling three slot machines, and that was just from 10 packs....of course we can't make that kind of money from them now lol But generally speaking I think a combination of running your dailies, gathering your materials and crafting those all important augmentation kits etc will generate a healthy income. Sometimes there is a massive demand for some materials, even low grade and that gives the highest return, but your dailies etc give a consistent income alongside of that. So I say run a combination of them, send your companions out gathering and crafting whilst running dailies and look out for your gather points out and about planetside.
  2. Oh do I m not going mad then? lol. I thought I was losing my mind, convinced it was blue before lol.
  3. Would love to see a Hoth one, although they probably won't give us it. Would be cool to look out over that frozen wilderness whilst staying inside behind glass, warming my hands on the fire from my Rishi Idols lol.
  4. Seems little a bit of a brain fart all round this slot machine episode, clearly they did not foresee the impact on the market and have decided to back track without every planning to do so, so it is as usual clumsy and ham-fisted, destroyed the drop rates and dangled a mount under our noses and thinking this is all ok. I do agree that the minority of whiners and loud mouths seem to be getting more attention. Problem is with children that throw tantrums is if you give in to them, they think they can get away with it all the time.
  5. ULTIMATE GOLD PURCHASE ONLY 5 DOLLAR PER $1 MILLION!!!!!!!! MMOSPAMMERS.COM!!!!!!!!! Sorry only joking was going to leave it like that but thought they might think I am one of them and get ban-hammered lol. But seriously, they are spreading like the clap through a brothel, something really does need doing about them, for now the wonderful power of the ignore list reigns supreme, but they are always back with a new character called kygrtye or something. I remember the days of SWG, they were pretty adept at keeping the gold spammers out of the chat channels, so it isn't beyond the realms of possibility to do the same here.
  6. Guess it is the old 'won't shoot a man in the back' moral compass they are talking about. Same reason as why a Jedi won't fight unless he has to. Fighting a foe to the death is a reality all Jedi must face but they will do everything they can to prevent that before it happens. Therefore it is logical that they would re-animate someone in stasis and attempt to talk to them before resorting to violence. Just my take on it anyway.
  7. I think it is a good idea really, takes the hassle out of gearing your companions, I know mine were all primarily in 'hand-me-down' mods and armour and some crafted pieces, this way it is taken care of and we can focus on what matters, our characters
  8. Got to say Tatooine is one of my favourite places in the game, always loved the setting, I was no different in SWG either. I certainly approve this message, we do indeed need some high-end daily content there, and a reason to indulge ourselves in that glorious sandy wasteland.....
  9. To be honest I don't see these forums as any worse than other titles within the genre. Yes there are a lot of complaints about things, but have you thought perhaps the people who are complaining might have a laundry list of legitimate gripes that need addressing? Not flaming, I just think you need to look at the bigger picture. A forum is the only way for people to share a collective annoyance or indeed pleasure with aspects of the game, and a yard stick for the devs to judge reaction to any development in game. The fact that at any one time you see a series of complaints indicates that the devs clearly haven't got everything right yet, and perhaps never will. And as others have said I think some of the more petty ones are for sarcastic humour more than anything. I remember playing SWG back in the day, their forums were no different, man if you could see a snapshot of the forums the day the NGE hit! It makes these forums look like they are moderated by the Dalai Lama lol.
  10. I think this is a great idea, be able to have all of your legacy in one room instead of some clumsy half-arsed family tree that I pretty much totally ignore now. definitely a /signed from me!
  11. I actually like this idea, yeah it is corny etc but I think it would be fun, as either a stronghold addition or an emote.
  12. I think you should, as the others have said, get out of the guild you are in as a first move, not the guys you want to be rolling with if they are on some suicidal 'let's see how many members can get banned from one guild' campaign. Which clearly they are if they are exploiting like that. As for you own indiscretions... I don't know, I think the ban hammer is pretty unforgiving and not too choosy where it lands if you are among the group of people who had taken advantage of this exploit....even if you are waving a banner of innocence at the time.
  13. I agree like I said there are some annoying bugs and yes of course I would agree that they need sorting before they compound the problem by adding more content and introducing newer bugs, but when you balance it all out I think the game is doing ok, but I would like to see the bugs fixed of course.
  14. To be honest, and flay me at dawn before a screaming crowd if you wish, but I think the Devs have done a great job, yes yes there are some silly bugs and glaringly obvious things that need fixing, i'm not saying it is perfect but as regards the game we had two years ago compared to now, they have added a LOT of content in my opinion and seem to be building on it. I am sure there are those who will disagree but they cannot be expected to please all of the people all of the time, but I for one think they are doing a great job.
  15. Laughed like hell when I saw someone doing this on fleet, especially as they were dressed as a super serious Sith Warrior type just spazzing out all over the place lol.
  16. Totally agree. Every speeder you travel on comes complete with a curtain dangling from the bottom of it, really annoying and so frequent and obvious they should have had a solution by now.
  17. Well for all the negative and positive responses to the announcement, one thing is clear, Bioware are still working hard to continue to expand this game that we love....if you don't love it then why are you even here? lol
  18. I must admit as a launch to death player of SWG I am guilty of making those comparisons too. I am not limited in my experience to only SWG, I played DDO, WoW (Very Briefly), EQ2 to name but a few. I think in defense of the SWG refugees here, I have made comparisons about certain facets of SWG that worked, not expecting that entirely different game to be emulated here. I think it is a case of how things were handled on SWG rather than the need to copy them here. After all if the SWG crowd had not sang the praises of players housing, would we all be sat on the edge of our seats waiting for our Sky Palaces? I think not. Maybe i'm wrong. But I agree it is wrong to expect a game that is made on the same IP to be the same game, SWG was great, truly the best I have played, but this is great too, for very different reasons, we should celebrate the differences, but also learn a lesson from the things that worked in the past, that is the best way to look at it I think.
  19. Yeah I asked a CSR the same question, they said you can only move one character at a time costing 1800 Cartel Coins each with no discount for bulk purchase so to speak. I have 20 characters so friggin ouch!
  20. I love the new walker mount, simply awesome, but surely they cannot allow that on the fleet can they? There needs to be a tipping point I think where the size of certain mounts prohibits their use on the fleet, not only for the horrendous lag they all cause but so we aren't riding round on them with our heads sticking out of the roof and in space! Ok the hovering thrones and meditation bean bags are one thing, but walkers and rancors? I think they need to make some of these planetside only tbh. Great to see some new designs in those packs though, and not just rehashed reskins, love it!
  21. To be honest it is mistakes like that, that keep so many people crowded around the GTN hoping for one to appear, I did myself get a yellow / orange Hawkeye crystal for under 4k, a no doubt similar mistake, or lack of knowledge on the pricing. Felt good to not get stiffed for once, so no I did not return it...
  22. Reminds me of the SWG days when we got loyalty rewards that were Anti-Decay kits, went for stupid money but made it so your gear never decayed over time and use. I can see something similar coming to allow a 'bound to legacy' option before too long, seems a logical thing to introduce, and of course it will be cartel coin driven.....I think 200-500cc is very optimistic though lol
  23. The transparency is both welcome and refreshing. I will happily endure a pushback of these much anticipated features given the need to make sure it not only works properly on launch, but also the extras that you are implementing too! So we have to wait a little longer.....yet we get a more stable and much better package when the time does arrive. Thanks!
  24. So pleased we are getting Tatooine housing! Never really wanted to live on Nar Shadaa or Coruscant as they are planets I always hated playing on but always loved Tat! Forget all the rest it is Tatooine for me! YES! THANKS BIOWARE!
  25. Yeah there seems to be a fair number of 'entitled' people on the game who automatically feel the world is there to serve them. Call them rich, lazy, spoilt whatever. It was the same on SWG after spending close to a year grinding a Jedi, this kid stands in Mos Eisley and DEMANDS I give him a lightsaber and make him a Jedi, when I refused he said he was going to get angry if I didn't comply, I laughed so hard I cried, but it is the same here, so I think every MMO has an element of this dip-*******y to it. Right up to date with SWTOR, we had a guy join our guild who from the moment he joined started asking for stuff, be it credits or mods etc, and that is all he ever talked about and they only time he ever did talk, eventually he wanted full access to the guild bank after a few days, when we refused he blew up, cursing everyone in the room and promptly quit! It is the nature of these games I fear, and I feel your pain OP.
