  1. 1.2 is already the most over hyped, overrated patch in mmo history. I'm not surprised BW has been so hesitant to get this thing out the door. That being said, If we see it before April 20 (recurring sub date for most vets), I'd be shocked.
  2. If 1.2 succeeds it will squeeze a few more months out of my guild until we pack it up for GW2. It's really pretty inevitable that the pvp population of Tor will leave when Guild Wars launches. Sooo hopefully it will have enough content for the pve crowd?

  4. This already happens with the current pvp (warzones), I don't see how adding Arenas changes anything significantly. Your argument only makes sense if BW removed PVP completely from Tor.

  6. ^ This. Quit qq'n about Arenas. If you don't want to play, don't participate. Pretty simple. Some of us (true pvpers) like to actually FIGHT each other. Give us Death-Match/Arenas.
  7. Agree with the op. Legacy right now is utter fluff garbage. Maybe they will add meaningful perks down the road, but 1.2 Legacy...meh. The game desperately needs innovation, more endgame and more immersion. They blatantly invested way too much in the story/voice overs, and now they will be playing catch up for the next few years to get this game up to par. The fact is gamers are fickle, and once they realize how empty Tor is, they will be abandoning ship for greener pastures. My prediction? If BW doesn't have a working rated pvp system and a complete Ilum revamp/overhaul before GW2 launches, they will lose most if not all of their PVP playerbase. Hopefully they have their priorities straight.

As Staalker said: "If I bought a bucket in red, and paid each month to use it, then suddenly the company says, "all new customers can get buckets in blue" but the people who had been supporting the red bucket couldn't change to blue. Yeah, it'd still be wrong." ^ This is a much more apt analogy. I love the last part. GJ for giving Bioware the o.k. to be another lazy developer and blatantly take advantage of their player-base's acquiescence. This kind of attitude might have flown in 1999 with EverQuest, but as a consumer in 2012 you need to hold developers accountable for these shortcuts.
  9. huh? The OP is 100% correct about pre-existing characters not being able to change race. This is a completely reasonable complaint. Legacy is a mess. This is just another example of poor planning and execution by Bioware.
  10. mad cuz bad? Seriously, anyone who argues that deathmatch pvp is not "real pvp" is an absolute nub. You do realize most of us play to KILL each-other, right? If I wanted to click on doors or pass balls I'd run a dungeon. Keep pve out of my pvp. Or at least give me the option to only queue for actual player vs player combat.
  11. Been thinking the same thing for a while. For example: 15 kills in Huttball = 1 Ball Capture. Make it so.
  12. meh too many trolls in this thread. I agree with the op. The problem is the fail design in Alderaan that allow you to "spawn zerg" CPs and still win. Hopefully it wont be such an issue on offense with 8man premades, but having to rely on pugs to help you burst down enemies can be frustrating to say the least. BW took a good step with the 3-second activation on the side speeders in Alderaan, but honestly, it should be more like 6 seconds. Voidstar blatantly favors the defenders. There is absolutely no reason you should ever lose a door defense in Voidstar with 8 competent players. Wait until we see 8man premades and the impregnable defense they will have in Voidstars. Fail design is fail.
  13. I have 4 level 50's, a Jugg, Sorc, Mara and Merc. You want to know what I think is op? Jugg "lolsmash" damage and Merc's tracer missile. Sorc is far, far from being OP. Overall they are good, but they have arguably the weakest damage of any class in the game. Their dps is 100% PAD AOE damage. They have absolutely no burst killing power. The class is a utility class and shines in group situations. Stop QQ'ing about Sorcs being op when they are possibly the most -balanced- class in the game atm. If you don't have multiple 50's, you really have no idea what you're talking about until you play different classes yourself.

  17. Actually our server is fairly premade heavy. We've gone against a lot of guilds tonight already. We just saw a double republic premade in a Voidstar.
