Not exactly. On the new War Master and Campaign gear, the set bonuses are tied into the Armor mod of each piece. The current BM gear, the set bonus is tied to the armor itself. If you get WM or Camp gear, you can pull the armor out of that and put it in an orange piece of the same slot and get the bonus.

Set bonuses only transfer on the new War Hero and new tier of PvE armor.

Nobody is being forced to do anything. OP wants (there is a difference between wants and needs) the new gear with Aug slots. So even his title is (at best) wrong or (at worst) a lie. If all you do is PvP, you should have a nice stockpile of creds filling you hold. Also, some would say grind is fighting in the same few WZs day after day. So that argument has no merit.

IDK what to say: options are optional. Leveling an alt should, theoretically, cost nothing, since they will be earning their own money. I leveled my first character and had no problem with money. And yes, this was while keeping his crafting skill current. You can make 200,000 creds a day doing the dailies. And, as I can see, the repair cost is about half what it was. Options are optional.

Didn't think of that. I guess OP could do like I do: run dailies WHILE being queued for WZ's. Unless he is afraid someone will take his spot standing around in the fleet.

If you PvP exclusively, what do you need credits for? Credits are (mostly) for the PvE side.

As a melee, having Roots affected by Resolve would be a major plus. Ending the CD on our CC breaker when we die would be my other suggestion. I can't tell you the number of times I eat the 2 stuns to pop my breaker like I'm supposed to, then get focused fired down, and being next to useless for the next 110 seconds.

Go hide on your ship while you pvp if you're so afraid of the cooties. Or quest. It's not like this is all over the place. Or, suck it up. Explode every 20 minutes and sell your samples for a total of 25,000 to 75,000 credits. "Oh it is breaking my immersion!!" Do you delete your character if you die once, even in pvp? Do you only run a FP or Op once because, after you kill the boss, it would be immersion breaking for that same boss to be back.

9 whole hours? I had full Champion gear at Valor level 52. Under the old system, that made me grind out another 200+ WZs before I could get 1 more piece of gear. Also, you could get a Synthweaver to craft you the orange shell and throw mods in it to get your look. Gear is cheaper now:rolleyes: 1 BM comm was 4000 WZ comms. A weapon was 12000 comms.

I put the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop. Its totally true. I did it, then 7 days later some guys released the record. Even thought the song was written, sung, pressed and shipped weeks before I had the idea, it was all me. New 50s can grab the stuff for sale, work and learn their class for a week until they start to collect BM gear. Without that stupid Valor rank, gear will start to plateau out kinda quick. Then, the almighty skill will make a difference.

You have to get 3 medals to get credit for any commendations. You must've worked pretty hard to manage to not get 3 medals.

Just to add my 2 creds to the confussion: I'm a synthweaver. I was planning to RE a low level belt to orange. Commander's Heavy Thermal Belt said there were no more schematics to learn (or whatever the tool-tip said). So I made Tempest Synth Assault Belt which said 20% (or 10%) chance for new schematic. I RE'd a couple, heard the cha-ching sound, looked and learned Critical Synth Assault Belt.

How should they do that? 200+ hours of quests for you to do once at 50?

MMOs aren't balanced too much during leveling. With BW giving "alternate options" to leveling through the Legacy system, I don't see the problem. They are already adding in a Legacy vendor, perhaps they could add a "Partially Filled Codex" item for him to sell. It could be a consumable that would fill out your new character's codex with known entries and grant you the XP. The guy is on the fleet, so you would have to get there first. Or, they could give the new characters the entries (and datacrons/shards), but not the XP. Then, you would be gaining XP by "discovering" the entries a second time.

I honestly feel embarrassed for BW with the sloppy implementation of the Codex. Why does the Sith Academy one ONLY work if your character is level 1? Why does it say 2 titles when you can only get one? It would take a moron a couple of hours to fix the triggers and database entries for these. At the very least, they could remove them from the codex. It just looks sloppy to have something listed that is unobtainable. Also, I like OPs suggestion that the Codex be shared across your Legacy.

/signed This needs to be an included feature. I like making spreadsheets, but by the force, this game is causing me to maintain so many.

I don't think anything has officially been announced, since it is still in the future, but, as of 1.2, you can save and load UI configurations, so, even if BW flubs up and doesn't make it automatic, you will be able to switch UI/bindings fairly easy.
