Agreed, if you don't have expertise the highest gear would be top end raid gear which is PVE. How is that remotely even fair to characters that only PvP, but have no interest in raids....so top end PvP gear turns out to be the Top end PvE gear you got by raiding??? Don't think so. and if equivalent top end gear could be gotton by only PvPing, the top end raiders would be in fits, foaming at the mouth. Either way neither group is happy. Better to stay like it is.

Ya...HK and Treek if they really are generic companions now is going to cause a crapstorm for bioware. People plopped down real $$$$ for these comps. Its hard for me to imagine all throughout the design process that no one in the meeting brought up that players probably wouldn't like companions that cost $$$ being turned into generics, but presumably that's exactly what happened. Would anybody honesty pay 40-50$ for an insta-60 character from the cartel market, if leveling were as easy as it is now. Ask yourself that question, then try to figure out the answer.

Thing is they will still be able to sell the 100 for 50, people buying hypercrates like there is no tomorrow has proven that, plus the movie is coming out soon, there will be droves of people wanting to start out at 60, and will pay 50 to do so.

depends on if you want to pvp or not. If you want to pvp I would say roll sorc in all honesty. Sure sorc may be fotm, but merc has ALWAYS been bad, and its not getting better in 4.0...its like you constantly have a "Kill me please" sign straped to your back. For PvE, I'd say which ever floats your boat, Sorc would have better survivability.

That would equate to 19.99, it will be at least double that. They have mounts that sell close to 2000 cc. With this you will be getting a character slot, maxed crafting skill, and an insta-60 of your choice...that's a lot more than a mount. I'm still betting 40.00 at least, which would be 5500 cc, if not more.

all I know is that I stay alive longer and the people I guard stay alive longer when my shield tech bounty hunter is running full fortitude augments/ shield/absorb, not fortitude/power/surge. His protection is greater than his damage, he is a meatbag and thorn in the side of the enemy. My immortal juggernaught does indeed run fortitude/power/surge. His damage is greater than his protection. He is meant to do damage and somewhat help on the tanking front. Healers would rather have my bounty hunter shield tech guarding them and have stated such. So my shield tech, which is my full blown tank, which has the highest protection numbers of the two---is screwed by this change. Please Note: that I only run reg warzones, Not solo---I won't go into the reasons why, because they are universal on just about every front as to why solo is screwed. Therefore I can not speak as to which is the better tank in team ranked, in team ranked you might very well be right, I have no clue: but I can't imagine I'm the only full blown fortitude/shield/absorb tank that runs regs, and this change is devastating. I'm just hoping the devs come to a modicum of common sense and not revert tanks to the defacto levels of absurd they were in yesteryear, where if you played a tank in pvp you were known as LOLTANK.

The problem with ranked is it is supposed to be a measure of how good a person is, and it isn't. When I see a person who has a fancy PvP title, or season winning PvP gear, I don't say to myself...".wow, this person is awesome", I instead say to myself..."wow this person really is the best @ qsync/dodge/wintrade". You can be the best legit player in the world...and unless you are doing those things, you are not going to get very far. That's why I almost exclusively play in objective based regular warzones, you see the same people day in and day out, they know if you are any good or not, they know your name, not a fancy title. Sure I would love an 8v8 and get rewards, but I doubt that's going to happen, and cheating a broken ranked system where it only tells people how much of a cheat you really are when they look at your title/gear is not something I would be proud of or want to be known by. Perhaps Bioware will one day fix ranked PvP, so that it is actually respectable...lets hope.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of.

Since all companions can now fulfill all roles whether that be tank, healer or dps, wouldn't it just be logical for companions to have sort of their own skill tree so I can mix and match my companions powers as I see fit. Say if I want Jaesa to have her whirlwind and force lightening, but also have 3 different heal abilities, I would be able to do that and customize her ability bar with abilities that I choose from a preset list of abilities available to that companion. Male it so Bioware!!!!!

These changes are beyond absurd. Firstly I was in the camp that ONLY tanks should ever have jet charge to the target, but you take the COOL tank skill and give it to the other AC's, and what do you give back, some kind of half baked transphased ability, that will never even go on my hotbar, so basically nothing in return, GG. Why would I ever use that ability, in PvE what are you going to put another player in front of the boss? in PvP which I mostly do...I'm not going to put another player, especially the healer in the midst of 4 other attackers. On Top of that it has a cast time..lolwut. Though in the case of Jet charge, even if it is your future design philosophy that all ac's get the charge, why in the world would you make it level 61, something that warriors get at level 2? No one in their right mind is going to roll BH tank now

IF EA hasn't shut down ultima online yet, Star Wars, isn't going anywhere.

As far as I understand it. 1. You will be able to visit old planets. 2. You will not be able to finish any class quest. 3. You will not be able to finish any planetary quest arcs (basically any quest) 4. Any quest that you had related to said planets will disappear. 5. You will be asked not once...but TWICE whether you choose to continue this path to make sure you understand the gravity of the choice you are about to make. There will be no going back. 6. While you can go back to planets, it seems it will probably be used as nostalgia purposes and resource gathering for crafting. 7. You will be able to keep all your companions, (eventually) but not all of them will have updated stories pertaining to the expansion.

On the other hand though, those that chose to marry dark Jaesa should have no problem, as she is totally up with Sharing, heh

Is it known whether or not phasing will be implemented in the expansion, where to say at level 11 dromand kaas will look like it does now, but when starting the quest of the expansion, the planet will be destroyed, and look totally different. How will this affect game play with others etc.? is anything known yet?

I have heard that the new expansion has solo stuff, but I haven't really been keeping up with it too much. Me and my wife almost exclusively quest together, my bounty hunter shield tech with HK droid, and her a mercenary with mako. In this new expansion will we get to continue to quest and play together? or does anyone have information on this yet. Thank you in advance.
