Basically another reason Bioware with an MMO is a joke. Fireworks really....well I guess if they would have given us something more perm. like banner, armor it would have been something already in the game, just a different color.

wow, I don't know what to say about that. None of those other MMOs make content at the same speed, but what have and will do is release more content than SWTOR has in a years time. You are really simplifying the definition and understanding of copying:(. my personal opinion is that Bioware keeps making promises they are unwilling or unable to fulfill. There is no sign of when the level cap will increase, when the new planet will come out, when the new playable race will be released etc...... This is disappointing as all of this content was suppost to be out before the end of the year and at their current pace of releasing content in bite size amounts it will likely take 1.5 years for the above mention content to even come out. So yes if you take your interpretation of copying then I would like Bioware to copy both Funcom (The Secret World) and GW2. As both of those games have released all the new content they have promised (I will point that some content was delayed for 'The Secret World' because of 50% downsizing of staff, but it has at this point all been released.)

1st - the amount of content even with them working on going f2p is very disappointing. 2nd - lets take out Wow, I will compare the updates to another MMO - The Secret World. A very small community, but one that listens to its player base and has released several content updates even with a massive downsizing of the staff. Question is ? why is Bioware Slow with their content? I signed up this month and already have canceled. I will be back, but I am going to wait 6 months and hope there is a lot more new content with a story to enjoy. And what is it about 9 weeks before new content after 1.5? I thought it was suppost to be every 6 weeks not 9 weeks..so another broker promise.

Thanks for the tip to use a healer companion and just run to the last boss. Beat him and got the HK-51. Now I guess I will play around for the rest of my month, retire from the game until some new PVE content is released and then pay another month:) - Just wondering if your purchase the HK-51 on the market - can he be accessed by a low level character or is it only if you are level 50?

I have been trying for days calling out hoping someone will help me complete the final heroic mission to get my HK droid, but I am bout to give up. Really wish you had an option to use the group finder for this mission.

I don't as I just wasted what they gave me...got the experience and thought wow they really are not offering anything flash after 5 months of no updates.

no dought playing the main quest and flashpoints that were created by Bioware prior to going to f2p are really bloody good and that people can play it without paying a cent with some restriction is fantastic as well. New players are getting a bargain and I guess that is a huge area for Bioware. But existing or returning players are not getting a lot from Bioware and that is after a nearly a year of false promises. I re-subbed so I could get my cartel points from Bioware. The store is well designed but a lot of content is just recolored rehashed items unless it is in the gambling boxes (which I object to greatly - but that is a nothing post) The problem I am having is prior to going to f2p there was a lot of promises on new content and some content that sounded really great, but besides HK quest line it is no were in sight. Bioware promised new content every 6 weeks and I personally don't think they have met this promise nor did I expect they would. They really need to get on a regular content schedule. But for me I will keep playing this month I have payed for, but unless we here solid plans about the future and what his happening I won't be re-subbing. Not saying I won't be back, just will wait until they expand this game a lot more..

Okay Bioware originally said updates would be every 6 weeks. I am just wondering will there be more content update before the end of the year since f2p has launched. I don't expect them to release the new planet or the level increases. Do you think they will release the new race they mentioned a few months ago?

This was what I was afraid of with a store. A form of Gambling, which shouldn't be allowed due to different ages that play. This is a sad that they have gone this route.

The problem with only 500 coins a month is 1st - that 95% of the new gear and vehicles all go to the store. So the only way for you to get it is to purchase. 2nd - from the brief glimpse I saw on the store in a video the prices are really high for items and your 500 coins won't go far at all.

Sorry, typo on level, tired after a long day at work. Was just think 1 character Max Level. Only just logged back on last night and no - haven't played WOW. I have been a few other MMOs, one with level 80 and one with no levels and I am not going to say they are better than this game. Star Wars is fun, but just needed a break and came back to see what is new with this launch..plus to get some of the free creds.

Okay I am on Aussie Servers with 8 characters and 1 of them level 50, but the PVE server is always light. I notice the RP-PVE Server seems to be were most people are at as it says Standard. I am hoping that the population will increase and we don't see outrageous cost in the online store to move your character.

I have canceled my sub, there is no way I am going to stick around to more lies and for them to try to milk customers who also subscribe to their game. I also at this stage am going to be wary of anything Bioware does in the future. They are no longer that bright star of a company...that have fallen down the bath of previous large and amazing Studios. I now add them to the list of Origin, Sierra and etc.

This is why I have cancelled. I have already playing TSW and they will have released more content in 3 months from launch than what SWTOR released since January. They are also not charging for this content. By early next year they will launch a whole new zone (Tokyo). So for SWTOR to turn around and say they may charge for another planet and additional level increase to players pay a monthly sub is a joke and is being greedy on the extreme, even more than SOE.

Wow, this is exactly what I thought would happen with them releasing new content every six weeks. 1 Operation. Wow that is it....that is really lame. - There has been no true new content since April and the game is only releasing 1 new operation. Then it will be 6 weeks from then and they will release 1 other new item. Really disappointing.....

Personally he doesn't inspire confidence in the future of the game. I also think it is a pretty good tie between DCUO and this game to how fast they have gone ftp. I have canceled. I was here for the story as well as the group content. I am not going to pay to get minimum content every 6 weeks. They will keep to their promise I think, but they never said how much. I point to a smaller player 'The Secret World' who has already announce their 2nd content release. Which includes the ability to change how your character looks...... I think if you have the right team and the right drive then you can succeed.....but something went wrong with this game and it is sad to see it happen.

Other reason for people leaving - The lack of true communication. - They keep saying this is improving but we just get PR messages that really don't answer anything. The lack of content - Promised content that never sees the light of day. The constant servers going down for maintenance - They seem unable to test their patches.

This is why I have cancelled now after being with the game since launch. Content promised at E3 which was suppose to come out this year has been brushed under the rug. HK-51 which was very near future has now turned into 'I don't know'. All we are getting from the Community Manager is PR Spin. No real solid information. I don't trust their promise of new content every 3 weeks. I also don't trust they won't wait until November to launch any true new content. They are doing the exact something that DCUO did. Promised content, then silence. Then f2p announcement. Then nothing until f2p launch. They will probably go down the same path DCUO did and just release rehashed content.

You dreaming to think 1.4 will be a big update. The amount of content will be minimal so they can try to reach their latest promise of new content every 6 weeks. Also don't expect all the content they announced at E3 to see the light of day any time soon. If you haven't notice since they announced f2p they haven't even mentioned any of it. The real clincher for the previous announce content has taken a back burner is what they talk about at Gamescon this week.

I don't think they will give up. They will just produce cheaper content. Example is DCUO that went to f2p in about the same amount of time as SWTOR. Their content is mostly rehashed content, nothing new or original. Also the gear they release has nothing to do with being a super hero. Lets hope that what they do release here will be for the Stars Wars Universe.

The Secret World is Co-Published with EA. EA does not own Funcom. Also I have had a look at the cash shop because I got 1200 free credits. There is nothing in the cash shop you have to have. It is all mostly vanity items, pet items, fireworks etc. There is tons of cloths, weapons within the game that you can earn and customize the look of your character. Lets give you an example, people have been asking for a Barber Shop in SWTOR. This is no were to be seen, but this is highly requested in TSW and it is coming out soon. I believe in the next major patch. The 1st part will be a Barber. Then following that will be a plastic surgeon for more drastic changes to your character. The engine seems much more refined and developed. It could be the guys are funcom know the engine a lot better and therefore can get content out or make some major changes. What I am saying is Funcom is talking, listening to their community and so far developing stuff that is being asked. Funcom may go f2p one day. That seems to happen to a lot of MMOs, but they have tried to be different and also released a well written underlying story in the game. Is it repayable? That I don't believe and more content will be needed like all MMOs to keep their base of customers.

I believe any MMO that launches now is not going to be able to supply enough content, but can have a community that will be happy if u communicate and release content on a steady pace. You just can't match Blizzard's resources and years of content. No matter how hard u try. SWTOR has done neither, it has been a huge mess after its 1st patch. After the debacle with some Aussies not being able to connect for weeks and the real lack of new playable content since April I have decided to take a break and try an MMO from a smaller team who is communicate with their community. Releasing decent content, including a Barber Shop soon. Plus movie their maintenance times so it doesn't have such a huge impact on Australians. My question is why did Bioware have such huge problems when a smaller company seems to be working hard to bring what their community wants?

I don't believe the content coming out will be massive. What was announced at E3 (except hk-51) has suddenly not been mentioned since. Even at an interview the current president of swtor couldn't say if hk-51 would be out before FTP launch and that is months away. I believe we will get rehashed, below standard content every six weeks, similar to the quality of content being released by DCUO. Right now I have no faith in Bioware, let's hope they can turn it around.
