  1. You can manually turn on AA and it does work fine however Bioware should put the AA setting back in so gamers do not have to fish around in their files. It is a 10 to 15 second thing but convience is king now-a-days lol.
  2. From a profit standpoint this model would be thrown out. Think of this from the perspective of those that just want to play those 8 stories....what happens when Bioware puts in new content to add to the stories but since this is a content patch, the ones that do not pay for the monthly are excluded, do you think the gamers will understand this move by Bioware? We have already seen the outcry when a small hiccup occurs (when gamers do not read about how EGA works), this would cause a rage unlike anything we have seen. Based on what you plan, you will already cause problems. Having a standard sub while there is a group that feels they should not have to pay, once content starts pouring in, you will a shift in mind set. Also think of it like this, 50 cents a day to play for 24 hours. When you look at rental charges to a game. You spend 9 dollars for the week, but beat the game on the fourth day, provided the rental store is willing to give you credit if you return it early, your out 5 dollars...or 10 days of swtor. Food for thought
  3. There was a guy on the spaceport above hoth that will give you a mission to head down and talk to another npc that will give you the fatigue item for hoth. Unless your dying by going out of bounds of the game in which cause that is an other matter.
  4. Also you can hit reset on a mission, this means you will have to redo it but if a dialogue option went to fast or you had to react to a situation you didn't like the choice you made, hit reset and change it.
  5. If you want a warrior class as others have said, sith warrior/jedi knight. Keep in mind that you will want to pick your class based on their advanced class instead of just their class. Example being if you want to be a pure dps, pick marauder for your AC on your sith warrior, if you want tank/dps, then go juggernaut.
  6. Keep going through your main story mission and eventually you will get your ship roughly level 14 to 18 pending on how many side/group missions you did. Technically if you see a small icon that looks like a frequency wave on your companion, this means they actually want to talk to you. This icon will be opposite of the crew skill icon.
  7. There is a bug where you will have to unequip your melee weapon first then equip your lightsaber in order to actual see the thing lol. Just a heads up.
  8. One thing to remember, datacrons can be mixed and matched with matrixs'. Combining different datacrons will result in different stat effects and you can always go back and change them as needed.
  9. Once you pick your surname, ether as a title or a last name, that option is gone for anyone else.
  10. When your on a planet you will come across atromechs that will give you missions and right next to them are the ships to take you straight to the fleet. If you are on the fleet, you typically go to the flashpoint shuttle area and talk to an npc to get a mission for that flashpoint. Atm there is no drop down menu but in time I would bet we will see something like it.
  11. Bioware is working to put them in, but as to when, unknown.
  12. Cool thing to note, those face masks will change your voice slightly.
  13. I did hear the rumor that down the road we might see class missions where we see all of are companions aiding. But whether we can control them, we will have to see.
  14. Well technically you do have a doctor on your ship should any unexplained burns occur....just sayin.
  15. This is a runningproblem with MMOs'. You have to do the work, honestly I like the chance to send my companion to sell thigns but I would like a way to sort my inventory/having a sell grey/white items when I am at a vendor. I know, I want it all...spoiled as I am. lol
  16. WELCOME TO SWTOR! Your bound to come across people that fill entitled in what they say, generational problem lol. But I did try star trek but honestly it did not hit, though hearing Spock's voice was freakin sweet.
  17. Did you pass up on Taris Bonus Series missions and Quesh as a planet before doing Hoth? And Hoth may still have a Bonus Series as well. I just got to Hoth this morning and I am level 39.
  18. You can go the route of guild hall. Many of the recruiters like myself do require online applications. Or you can go in-game and use general chat, that is also a hit or miss. You can get trolled by others but it can also lead to you finding great guilds to join.
  19. Having played both trooper and smuggler, I would say trooper is easier to play but the humor with the smuggler story line is priceless. I was laughing so hard I flipped my chair after a story arc...for the record my chair has a bad wheel so not entirely my fault!
  20. The term MMO can mean many different things now-a-days like casual and hardcore. Even if you try to use the dictionary, you will find people have different views on it. This is a theme park MMO. That is the best way you can call it. This is not a bad thing but merely a different take on a MMO.
  21. When I first heard rumors back years ago, well before Bioware announced the game, I actually pestered my local gamestop to see if they had gotten word of a pre-order option. I am glade I bought this game. Coming from many different MMOs' over the years, I think I found one that fits.
  22. Lvl 13 in a high level area is fine. They run the risk of getting attacked easily or ganked if their in the PvP areas. But other then that, nothing is telling them no. You have a right to play the game how you see fit provided your not exploiting etc.
  23. Things will get worked out in time. You want things fixed right away assuming they can be fixed so quickly. You want a reasonable answer. The game took close to 4 years of dev time, if you count pre-meetings, 5 years. You cannot realistically think they can fix 5 years of work in two weeks. They have been addressing the community here on swtor.com through AMA Reddit, IGN.com, Gamesradar.com, MMO-Champions, and through other various sites/media outlets. You have valid points that should be addressed but just because they have not gone to your thread and said personally to you that these areas will be looked into, does not mean they are being disreguarded. If you look at end game, Ilum's PvP needs a complete overhaul, raid bosses are buggy (I expected that), and broken chapters for classes among other problems have Bioware working to get this stuff presentable and enjoyable for the community. The best thing you can do right now that is healthy and productive is to report the bugs you see. Start a calm post about the things you would like seen change. Give details about why you do not like them. Explain possible solutions. If you cannot seem to do this, walk away from the game. Keep tabs on it from time to time, but play something else that does cause you this much grief. We all want this game to grow into a big healthy mmo, but the game will stumble and we have to be there to give feedback.
  24. Having 8 bgs is nice but when two to three are really used...makes the other 5 less worthwhile. It's not about quantity but quality of a warzone/map/bg. Take league of legends, maps have been around for 2 years and people love them.
