  1. I would bet Bioware will add this in. Just give it time and make sure to keep reminding them.
  2. James Ohlen has already said they are working on neutral gear. They had planned to put the gear in but did not like some aspects of the gear and the way the system worked. We will see it soon. And the way he defined soon, not as long as a year but not as close as a month lol. If your curious where I got the info, head over to darth hater, they had a podcast interview with him.
  3. The space shooter is going to stay folks, get use to it. You are not required to play if you do not want too. Something to chew on while the anger builds in you, James Ohlen already said they have a project for space in the works, you may get the freelancer/eve experience that way otherwise there is always Eve
  4. Given the current degree of Heroic 4 and flashpoints, they are challenging/hard/amazing. They teach you what you need to know to survive. Players that cannot grasp the idea of using CC, stuns, knockbacks, mitagation abilities really need to find another outlet. An game is meant to gradually increase in challenge, otherwise it becomes a facebook game.
  5. The macro i cannot speak on but I have been reading many interviews with James Ohlen, combat logs are on the way, a hot fix to GTN is on the way, and gamesradar asked Daniel Erikson about /roll, I guess that is on the way as well. Patience needs to be reminded to the gaming community, they all forget too quickly how WoW use to be and what it is now.
  6. Setup is different then paid time. Sides this is standard for a launch. Eventually as the game goes on, they will shift to free trials which will remove the immediate sub setup.
  7. I agree to the instant ques but the jury is not yet in on who is the better/mature community
  8. You know Blizzard has bugs/memory leaks etc that have not been fixed since the game released in 04. But I do agree, fixing the game should and I will bet, comes first for Bioware. Look at this as a way to sate the hunger of players concerned of lack of content due to the V/O in this game. If BW can bring in regular updates, not as fast as Rift but faster then WoW, the community will blossom into a beautiful blaster with little lightsaber petals glowing in a sea of fantasy MMO's.
  9. Skyrim...is/would be impossible for current tech to do with tens of thousands of players running around. Give it 5 years or more then when Skyrim The MMO comes out, people will be saying it's not like Elder Scrolls 9 lol.
  10. Grats. The sheer excitement of opening the game....I don't know about anyone else but it feels like the best stuff comes out before Xmas.
  11. Given everything they did right and everything in the game currently, this is far more polished then any MMO on the market. You can say Rift also had a great start, which is true, but SWTOR by comparison, the focus was difference. And if you compare this game to WoW...remember WoW had no PvP, no raids (unless you count scholo/ubrs/lbrs/strat) for the first 10 months.
  12. 40 has been the idea. Seems it was discussed once with an interview, could have changed.
  13. To put plainly, both sides are grey. Republic is not as shiny as everyone likes to believe. The Imperials are not as dark and evil as people peg them for. BW has done a great job in putting real life faces to these characters. Grounding them in a semi reality where you look at what the person is doing and not just what the government is doing.
  14. Chat bubbles could help but something like how SWG....ugh. Other thing to remember, people are engrossed in the story, they could have their chat bar hidden to have a better experience with the story, or their more focused on leveling to get their legacy name before it gets snagged.
  15. An in server LFG tool would be usefull. There is no reason not to have it. Personally I have yet to come across a time when I have not found a group but mileage may vary for other servers. I do like what BW did with the heroics. Having them repeatable makes for grouping with others more likely at least, gotta give credit for that.
  16. MC/BWL if your counting those raids did not occur till a year to two years out from release. UBRS was a 10 man raid same with Scholo/Strat back in the day. That was the only raid content we had till MC came out. PvP was non-existent unless your did world PvP which was lets sack Xroads! lol. AV was suppose to be in the game come release but it did not show till almost 11 months after release. Lets not forget that the first level 60 in classic WoW was hit in 10 days after the game released and from his comments, he was not "rushing" ether. All in all, when you compare the two, BW is bringing their A game to the gamers, it's the gamers that have forgotten their history. Sidenote, I have noticed that the first few days, the chat in general was helpful/fun and mild manner. The last day or so, the general chat has been filled with the standard troll/jerks that you would find in WoW lol. I wonder if anyone has noticed a similar pattern? And not to get me wrong, I played WoW off and on for 7 years, just noticed the same behavior found there showed up in the last wave lol. Just sayin.
  17. Actually MC/BWL if your counting those raids did not occur till a year to two years out from release. 18. The current crafting system is the closest any game has gotten to SWG crafting. I do not think we will ever see a complete form of this (excluding Eve in some respect here) in an MMO. If BW added in a way for players to actively focus on just crafting as potential end game content, I do not believe it would hurt anyone, only enhance the experience. You never know, BW has some lofty ideas in play, we may see something like this in a year to two years.
  19. If you want something I think you should work for it. The current crafting system makes you work for it. It works within the confine of the lore and really is enjoyable.
  20. If I understand your question, there are BoE mounts you will be able to build/buy.
  21. 5 dollars is a drop in the bucket. Calling a local game store to get information on how much you need to pay to get early access is also easy. You had more on your plate then the average day, true, but you always had a chance. Everyone had a chance. To quote a mother "No sense in crying over split milk."
  22. At the moment, BW is making an in-depth combat log, however whether an actual recount addon will be made, unknown. I did hear BW wants to make their own addons if the community really wants it.
  23. Cover is only Smuggler/IA but there is a bug with cover atm in game.
  24. 25 cents a day. Cheapest Bioware game ever....after buying the actual game.
  25. You can play solo but if your looking at the social gear, you will need to group up and level social points to get it. Also in a guild, you have people to mingle with. To discuss what paths you went on X mission etc.
