Hello, just as an update i did a completely fresh install using steam and my issue has yet to reappear. So far this seems to be a fix, though as Steve pointed out this may be from my install still utilizing bitraider. I am guessing this is due to just coming back after several years. Curious if anyone else has found this too as I would imagine it would have been patched out. Still though happy to be back blasting holes in everything with my mando. Cheers.

Download size is listed as 38gb. as for task manager it listed disk usage between 60-80 % (again very odd as checking the actual file size of the swtor location still shows the total at 51GB) and network usage was peaking (My downloads peak at around 4MB/s but average is around 2). It's all very odd. After talking more with people in game it does appear to be affecting the users with the original .com launcher more so than the steam launcher and several of the reports online indicated the same. Still, I would assume they are essentially the same tool from what I've seen? Either way I'm going to attempt a full reinstall through steam today and see if that fixes the issue. I also did an integrity scan through win11 tools and HDD passed so it doesn't seem to be directory or disk issue. Also attempted the repair option through launcher but option was grayed out. Followed some solutions online and deleted the bitraider file which did force the launcher to perform a scan and repair but it did not find any issues. Mostly why I was starting to worry it may be server side but what you're saying does make sense. Will hope for a patch fix in the meantime. I just wish there was a little more transparency towards bugs but I get they cant respond to everything. Thank you for reaching out though, it is appreciated.

So this is day 2 of this issue. I have tried just about every solution i have found from searching the internet. Every time i login to the game (.com launcher) I have to wait almost an hour for the game to download again (I am in a rural area with slow internet and this is starting to affect things outside of the game). Having checked the file size on the file system I can confirm it is not in fact installing anything. The game has remained the same size. I am losing my mind here. I just wanted to play for a few hours during my weekend but have been plagued by this. I've managed to get into the game a few times but have had to restart due to other bugs (no sound, UI issues, etc...) and every time been met with another download. I just managed to get in after yet another download to receive the error that "my game version does not match that of the server". The game then closed and you guessed it, is now downloading again. I don't get it, I really don't understand how a game can be this unstable. The last time I was online I posted in general and had numerous people reach out that they were experiencing similar issues. I don't believe it is possible for bioware to be unaware of the problems plaguing their customers yet it doesn't seem like they care enough to follow up. The last time i posted i said i understand that they are on a shoestring budget compared to similar games but still. How have they not released so much as an acknowledgment of these game breaking issues. I'm probably just shouting into the void honestly lol I just want to play the game, but I don't think I can do it at the cost of stress. As always if someone does have suggestions then it is appreciated but having tried all the troubleshooting tips I've found or received so far I'm chalking this up to something that is more than likely server side. Going to uninstall and see if steam launcher works any better, will report if thats the case but was when speaking in general several people noted this is regaurdless of launcher. just wandering if it is possible later on in the game to have more than one companion with you at a time when out in the field (like in the original kotor games) it would just be nice since my main character is a tank (trooper vanguard) to be able to have both my medic to heal as well as a more companion aimed more for dps. thanks for any info on this, just havnt been able to find anything in any guides or other forums on the net. -Mic
