  1. If all classes had completed Chapter 3, what's the point?
  2. What we need to work on here is your sense of accomplishment and pride. Something achieved that makes you feel full of pride should do so b/c YOU overcame whatever obstacles were in the way be they external or internal, not b/c some other Tom, Dick, or Harry could also achieve (or not) said accomplishment. Measuring yourself based on the accomplishments of others is a sure-fire way to never feel fully satisfied. The reason being there will ALWAYS be someone better at whatever it is you may excel at, always. When you set a personal goal, graduating college with honors for example, do you feel less full of pride and accomplishment b/c others did the same? No, you feel full of pride b/c YOU accomplished it. Congratulations of reaching your goals and achieving things in game. And appreciate the fact that others have as well.
  3. I'm less concerned with the WHY & more concerned with the WHAT. All the dumbing-down jargon and bravado is over-hype in my opinion. I don't care if it allows a less talented person to compete at the same level as me. I'm here to have fun in my own little community of gamer friends, not set out to find who is the best of the best of the best button pusher.
  4. My only regret is I just spent this past few days leveling my Sentinel from 48-50 by doing strictly class missions. SMH
  5. I will withhold judgement until I see the actual changes but my initial thought is this is a good thing. This game needs a breath of fresh air & it appears the devs are trying to give it.
  6. [quote=Hikaru_Kuma;7705473 EDIT 2: My worst lvling experience was my sage. It was soooooo slow and sooooo boring The key to faster sage leveling is to use a dps companion (HK is the best but any of the pure dps companions work) instead of a tank or healer or even Treek. The reason is (if you hotkey target companion), you can simply thrown your comp a bubble if she grabs aggro.
  7. Even better, get a G13. Thumb button can use all 4 of the buttons you listed above.
  8. 1. Even though this is an MMO, there should be more solo game play options (FPs, continued story line development). 2. I dislike the whole Empire set up, from planet to planet. 3. Strongholds are boring. 4. Huttball (the original) is the best warzone/bg in any MMO ever. 5. Conquest is boring. 6. There is a large contingent of players who would like to play species that aren't human, despite what the devs say. (Wookies, Rodians, Jawas, Yoda's species, and Selkath with Selkath being my favorite). 7. Cross-server queues for Pve & Pvp are not only doable but wanted by the player base (OK I may not have listed this one in the spirit of the thread as I think the majority would approve of this). 8. There should be an in-game method of paying for subscription (similar to PLEX in Eve Online). OK now I'm really losing the spirit of the thread; I think I'll stop here.
  9. People (and some guilds) have been doing that since the age of time, usually so that they can get to the boss they're stuck on or want gear from. There's always some "reason" they can't continue past a certain point. In their mind they've helped people who might not otherwise get into a raid group down some content. I can see their point. But I can also see yours. IMO people should be honest from the start as to the progression plan for the evening so you can decide to attend or not. As far as conquest is concerned, I wouldn't know. I don't play the conquest game as I find it boring.
  10. The one item worth stopping for to enjoy the roses...
  11. I typically do dailies while I wait for queues. I don't even notice how long the wait time is (& it usually isn't more than 12-15 minutes). Maybe it's your server.
  12. I'm leveling a 2nd scoundrel atm. I don't find leveling too bad. Invest in leveling help (legacy - pick the category you do the most), use the XP consumables when you don't have rested XP. Go healer & do FPs - Kuat is the best XP in the game.
  13. Wildstar looked too goofy for me even to try. I did try TESO & it was like playing a beta with all the bugs & so forth. PvP lag is unbearable (sayeth everyone not just me). TESO will get around to fixing them I suppose & I'll try it again after they do. It has promise. I like this game but there's only so much you can do if you don't want to raid. I pvp with guildies, do dailies, level alts, don't have any interest in conquest grind, or raiding. If I wanted to raid I'd go play WoW where they have a 10 year head start (but then again you'd have to live with once/year new content) and a myriad of guilds to raid with. Rift was good to me; their devs are the best. The rate at which they release new content is what every MMO should strive for. Unfortunately it is too much like other MMOs so the boredom sets in rather quickly. I've been playing EvE Online for the last cpl months & it is fun at times. I really like their skill system. This week I started playing Shadow of Mordor (RPG) & it may be the best game in 2 or 3 years to come out. The thing with RPGs is the shelf-life is rather short (unless it's Skyrim). So I continue to play this game b/c I like the IP. I still have a cpl more class story lines to get through, and a few more people to stalk in warzones. Strongholds - kinda meh. They all look alike. There's no diversity like in Rift where you truly build your own housing. The CM has been pretty boring of late. Whoever is creating the CM content should polish up their resume IMO. Anyhow, just my opinion. Happy hunting wherever we all end up.
  14. Rift added the ability to export keybind settings & import them on new characters a week after the forums asked for it back when they launched. No need to get over-excited & tell me to go play Rift; I already did that a time or two. I'm simply stating that it can be done rather easily if the Devs so choose. My guess is if they did it, they'd add it to the CM though.
  15. I find it difficult to focus on the threads you create due to the obnoxiousness of your forum signature.
  16. Flag causes: 1. AoE does in FACT cause you to flag if you hit a flagged character or NPC of the opposite faction. 2. ST attacks due to inattention but also can be caused by moderate lag and screen freezes. 3. Companions AoE in FACT DOES flag you if they hit a flagged character or NPC of the opposite faction. How to avoid it: 1. Don't use AoE abilities in areas that are or could be populated by the opposing faction. 2. Pay better attention to target. Not much you can do about lag-related issues. 3. Turn off your companions AoE abilities (poor Treek becomes almost useless) when in areas that are or could be populated by the opposing faction. My opinion: Even though you can avoid flagging yourself in these scenarios, it's cumbersome & shouldn't have to be dealt with on PvE servers. The very definition of PvE is player vs environment - not player vs player. If BW wants better OWPvP options then they should create them instead of being lazy & let the PvP crowd grief the PvE crowd. Disclosure: I mainly just PvP now with guildies since PvE is lack luster at endgame.
  17. The first time I experienced this I laughed so hard I couldn't push buttons. It's all fun & games unless of course you're the healer grouped with 3 dps who can't hold aggro.
  18. I was really hyped for Legacy storage; to the point that I resubbed after a very long hiatus. This is terrible news. EVERYTHING has to be such a money grab - EVEN FOR SUBSCRIBERS! Plain & simple bullsh*t!
  19. I was wondering if the Gree event exalted rep mount was able to be added to collections or if I have to choose which character gets it. Thanks.
  20. I admit I'm playing ESO & I really like it for the most part. There were a ton of bugs during beta, and many of those slipped through to launch so that's why they're seeing extended downtimes during peak hours as they fix things piecemeal. (RIFT still holds the smoothest launch title IMO among MMOs). I've decided to unsub from SWTOR at least until the new stuff hits later this spring/summer. I'm leaving behind a cool group of friends in our pvp guild, but we can still converse via vent even though I'm not in game with them. TBH I needed something new & taking a break has usually worked in the past for rekindling my enthusiasm for the game I left. See ya laters.
  21. I created a couple threads over the months (years?) to ask for it so I'm creating a new thread to thank you for it. It's the only thing I really need to renew my sub. THANK YOU!
  22. I hadn't heard that; thanks for the info. If this is the case, then they should at least dispense with the requirement to have 12 members in a guild in order to purchase a guild bank so we could use shared storage that way. I don't raid on all 22 of my characters so I have no need of being in a large guild with all of them.
  23. My conspiracy theory: it's EA/BW selling the credits.
