  1. I know you didn't ask about pve servers, but one would think the Jedi Covenant would have decent Republic pvp....not!
  2. This definitely isn't the same OP Plex I saw survive a 1v8 in Rift. But then cleric healing always was overpowered before the deserving nerf came along. Anyway, I usually like you music choices & style of vids. I'll still tune in & watch as you develop.
  3. The pvp relics allow you to go into a "burn" mode while the pve/alignment relics have endurance & a lesser ability to "burn". Seems backwards to me.
  4. Premade and pugs are simply two different styles of play. Instead of ragging on the style you don't play, simply support a separation of the two (as OP has stated). GW2 is getting it right. Pugs for 1 queue, premades for another. They're probably the only MMO I've heard of that may actually get it right.
  5. Specifically the weekly & daily quests are not updating/giving me credit for wins. Server: Jedi Covenant Faction: Republic (As if the Empire needed another advantage).
  6. Well that was a geared 50 (Gladiator rank - I assume he had matching gear) against a level 14. Booster system yay! I've played rogue-types in the past but I'm starting to lose patience with it. Stealth (unable to be noticed unless random aoe or scanners get you) Stunlock. Open with huge amount of front end damage. The opponent is in a heal deficit right off the bat. So even if they break the stun (after the knockdown), they're at a disadvantage. If the stun wears off before the kill is achieved they can make a choice to continue the fight with a large advantage, vanish/cloak & reopen, or reset. There's no real risk for the stealther. If adds come, simply vanish/cloak. Again no real risk while every other class has to manage a 1v2 (or more) situation. It's a play style that's just getting old. People play it, think they're great b/c of the OP nature of it & then we get to deal with the back & forth of the forum crowd. I know this has nothing to do with the high damage shown from the Operative but class imbalance will always be present in pvp games, so I've grown used to it. I just felt like venting.
  7. Yea the companion aoe to flag pvp is pretty lame. Just so you know, some quests in the next 10 levels will take you to areas that auto flag you. I never worried too much about it b/c I'm a pvper but I did have this one funny incident. I was on my speeder going through an area which required pvp flagging. I came across my mirror class fighting a mob. The mob used some kind of aoe that knocked me off my speeder. I figured it would be lame to attack the guy while he was dealing with pve mobs so I watched. After he killed the pve mob, I noticed that our companions had started duking it out. It was funny to see. After that he attacked me & I put him down.
  8. I don't want to troll you. It seems to me that if you're bored of the game already then you're probably "that guy" who churned through levels as fast as possible & are now complaining that the game is stale. Just a hint, you'll enjoy your food more if you actually stop to eat it & appreciate the flavors.
  9. The thing is, there just aren't enough 50s yet to make 50 level queues viable. I understand your issue & agree that things should change...eventually. But this soon, you would do a disservice to the ppl who are level 50 if you excluded them from queuing which is what would happen if brackets were implemented this soon. If you played head start then it's not too off the wall to think you're somewhere between 30-50 atm. That should be enough to keep you viable until the population catches up. As far as alts or weekend warriors, yea we're all screwed there. As far as premades, I agree they should be pitted against each other instead of pugs. And I don't really care about the queue ramifications there. Getting pug stomped by premades just blows, period. I hope I don't have to wait until GW2 to be able to queue solo & be viable. This is a story-first game but I hope BW realizes that there are a substantial amount of subs that would be sustained if pvp were fun...and just not for premades.
  10. 1. Use Tharan. Specifically set him to heal stance & make sure the Holiday CC is at least active even if you do not control it directly. 2. Use the Resurrection stations to get a damage reduction buff. 3. CC the melee to gain distance; with snares & such they are easiest to take down. Interrupt the casters. Be sure to use your longest CC on the toughest guy in the pack when you 1st pull. Don't use aoe that breaks the CC. 4. Save your 20 minute CD heal+companion ability for the Gold elite & 2 silvers. 5. Make use of medpacks. 6. Make use of resolve stims. 7. Ask for help. You may get the chat troll who tells you he did it with 1 arm tied behind his back, but you may actually get some help.
  11. It's probably a little too early since there aren't many 50s. 50s wouldn't be able to queue. Give it a few weeks - month though, & I'm of the same opinion.
  12. I noticed a Powertech grapple one of my alts in Void Star while he was standing on the edge of an overhang; I immediately fell off & died. Kind of a lame mechanic but I won't cry about it.
  13. While I agree the BH issue needs immediate attention, I'm hard pressed to find issue with the rest. The game is brand new; fixes will come. There's no way I could walk away from this game for such minor reasons ( I respect that you might but this is my opinion). I expect a lot of bugs b/c BW didn't have an extended open beta. (Sure there was general testing but we see how much was missed). The trade off was that the backbone of the game (story) wasn't ruined for me before I even started to play. So no, I'm not about to cancel. I have enough patience to let BW fix things. Until then, I'll focus on the good stuff and not let the bad affect me.
  14. only you can't see it b/c the icon is so small Please add some kind of feature that shows procs with a LARGE icon in the middle of the screen please. That is all. Thanks
  15. OWPVP has always been about who has the bigger zerg. Until a game decides to balance zone populations then it will always be so.
  16. Currently warzones are limited to 4-man premades. If they go any larger, then they better damn well separate premades from pug queues. Two different play styles deserve two different queues.
  17. The question is whether there are enough players queuing in order to populate all the different level caps you are asking for. On a pvp server, maybe. But on a pve server, we may not even have a full group until 1/2 way through the match as it is now. If it stays like this after official release, then I may have to reroll on a pvp server just to get my fill. I do think that level 50 should have a bracket unto themselves. I'm dreading running into 50s on my character b/c I didn't take the cheap way of leveling up (pvp & space combat) exclusively. Not to mention I like to play alts, leveling pvp against 50s is going to really test my patience. So much so that it may not even be worth it. I'm not ready to judge anything one way or the other until release hits & we get a good idea of what kind of pvp-warzone population we have. The warzones themselves are different with respect to how advantageous it is to have a number of levels on your opponents. Void Star: This warzone holds the largest advantage for higher levels b/c action is tight bunched due to a bottleneck of the objectives. In these close quarters, higher level players will rule, period. Alderaan: Middle of the road. With three objectives spread out, being effective against one or two higher level players isn't that hard. Simply take or hold a point they're not at. This changes once you get a field of higher levels in the coming days/weeks. Huttball: Only one objective, but there's so many ways to contribute in this warzone. Not to mention the terrain. Use it to your advantage & the level factor is least bothersome of all the warzones. (I'm talking LOS, CC, snares, knockbacks, grips, etc.) Let's give the game a few weeks to develop before we flame it for being something other than what we want...just my opinion.
  18. You have a point, I'd be PISSED if I'd schedule vacation days for naught. It wouldn't kill them to give us a guestimate. Couple million people sitting at their PC spamming f5 & hitting the launcher is pretty asinine.
  19. At this point, I'm wondering if I'm still just a gleam in my father's eye or if mom is chawin on prenatals yet.
  20. lol, so nothing changed *f5* *copypasta* *f5* *copypasta*
  21. I'm guessing the waves will get faster once they iron out the bugs. But maybe they really do want to give each wave an hour & 45 minutes to clear the starting zone. /shrug
  22. This is an acceptable complaint. I won't get emo or anything but I'd be lying if I said I was anything but disappointed. It appears we'll be held hostage to the f5 & copypasta throughout the day. Good luck all.
  23. I missed 2nd wave too (July 23rd); I guess I'll toss my character spreadsheet & make something up on the fly. Anti-climatic start to the day for sure.
