  1. Last i played WoW a couple of months ago queue time for a DPS prime time is 6-9min, in fact i don't think i have waited as long as 9, but my friends tells me thats about the time it takes now days. If there is a shortage of tanks and healers, the bonus system for them kicks in, and wolla! queue time is down by a lot. What you get is a loot box that can contain all sort of things. I am kind a shocked to see the little acceptance that not everyone in this game are good players and some take longer to figure things out. I'd gladly spend time wiping because of a bad healer or a bad DPS to give them time to learn because there was a time where i was not a good player and did struggle a bit learning all the new things. And i bet all of you "pro" people was at some point just one of those people who did not know it all that someone else would ignore because you did a couple of mistakes.
  2. I am in a guild i am very happy with, but we are not a big guild because we are very selective about who we want in it. As we are all kind a old. And our experience is that young people and older people have sometimes little in common and don't in general mix well. I am not saying here that younger people are not good people, most of them are, but they usually think different, act different then people with more then just a few years under their belt. As for the person who did comment on my condition and the spelling error in the topic, english is my 3rd language, we did not learn english at school back when i was there. So all the english i have had to learn was on my own over the years and my spelling is very bad at times, and when you combine bad spelling with severe dyslexia, that is what you sometimes get. And a lot of you have pretty much proven my point in my original post, there is to many trolls if i can call it that who just want to do one thing, ruin peoples experience on this forums and in the game. But back in the first few months of this game Bioware was more active against this, both in game and on the forums. And that is part of why things are how they are now. Someone like me who want to express a honest concern about something, ask a simple question about things can't do so without getting exactly what is going on in this post. To many trolls who just want to bring down a community to a level where it is no point having it.
  3. It is a personal attack of some sort as i already stated that my english is not good, but you chose to ignore it and felt you had to correct it even so, besides i am severely dyslectic. On topic tho, i don't know what they can do as i said in the OP, but i am sure there are somethings that i atm cant come up with.
  4. That is not my experience at all, general chat used to be lot better, and saying that all mmo communities is like this is not a excuse. And i am in a guild and been in this guild since pre-release, but even guilds is not the best place always. My guild is not a big one, and we are very selective about who get in. And the other day we had a couple (wife and husband) join who had been in two guilds before ours, they did not have a good time being in them because it was not any better there.
  5. I log on to my newly made alt who i just got to level 10 with and flew off to fleet, upon selecting the advanced class i had a few questions needed to be answered and i chose the wrong way to get them......i asked in general. The flame storm that blew up around me was totally ridiculous. Of course i could have used google to find out about this simple thing, and it really was simple, it would have taken anyone less then minute to answer it, but in stead 10-15 people figured it was better to flame me for my lack of googleing then just answer this simple thing, and that made me wonder. Has this community who used to be fairly good declined so bad that a person can not ask anything in general or on this forums? And i know as i am writing this that my english is not very good, i am not very good at writing anything like this post so i am expecting there will be spelling trolls and other people who feel that they need to point those things out, and that is also a sign that the community is getting very bad, and that they are the only people left who play this game i like so much. But feel i am getting less and less temped to log on because what is the fun working hard on trying to do things right, when so many just want to destroy? How can a community fall this far down? What is Bioware doing to stop this trend before this community is to far gone to save it? When i started playing this game during the beta and later during the pre-release and onwards i felt that the community was a lot better. People seemed more prone to help others with all sort of things. If you asked a silly question in general you would not get a flame storm but a bunch of people willing to answer your silly question, if a low level asked for help in fleet with a heroic quest or getting a flashpoint done because the queue time at that hour was horrible, the list of willing people was long! Today it is the other way around completely, you are lucky if someone answer your question, or sets aside some time to help you with your quest or a low level flashpoint. Why is that? Where is those good old people who almost went out of their way to help a poor fella out? Dear Bioware, can you please try and do something about this? God knows what can be done and i don't want to speculate to much, but i bet there is someone on the inside of Bioware who has a good idea. This community is falling apart in all directions and i don't see any thing being done to stop that from your side. There is so many communal problem at this point, logging on for some is not fun anymore because of this.
  6. Yeah same, just happened to me now after being in queue on my poor commando for more then 45min, guess it is a new 45min+ wait for a new group for me.
  7. As i do tank my self in pug's quite often i don't recognize my self in that all pug's are bad. Maybe 1/6 HM's are bad, very bad once maybe 1/8. I can live with that just fine, i accept the fact that everyone need a chance to learn how to play and learn tactics. Non of you are perfect and all of you have made mistakes in this game, and i am going to say it again. If everyone acted like the DPS haters and "roll a tank" trolls in here, there would be no HM's going at all. The community would collapse even more then it already has. And if we switch the roles a bit and say, if everyone had a bit more understanding and acceptance that people need to learn, this community of players would be better off. And sitting down saying that nothing can be done to fix a very serious problem like this is the same as giving up, and if you don't have anything to add instead of just posting troll posts, stop posting cause it is not helping and all it really does is make things worse.
  8. I have a tank char, i play on it daily in hardmodes mostly to help people, i am not maxed on gear, but not far from. I am also leveling a guardian that i am going to have as tank, so please stop the "roll a tank" comments, and there is things BW can do, they can reward tanks and healers more then DPS to make it more tempting to play one. I think it is really bad when DPS good or bad has to wait a hour to get a hardmode pop, and even then it is not set in stone that the tank will even enter because they don't like the FP.
  9. If every tank did what you do, non would be able to gear up. I do agree tho with people being lazy trying to get a little better gear before starting doing hardmodes. But that is not always the case, in fact i only been on one group where people where really undergeared. But still, the hardmodes is not that hard at all. When i hit 55 with my vanguard i tanked the hardmodes in 146 gear easy, with my farm group being on the same gear level. So gear is not everything, and just because you see someone with 20k HP don't mean that they can't do the content. We even did SV and TFB(55) in that gear, with a few random hardmode drops on
  10. I never said that the tanks left mid way trough a flashpoint, they leave before they even enter after seeing what flashpoint that came up, and yesterday was a really bad day. I tried to get my daylie done and it took the whole day. Tank after tank left the flashpoints even before entering them. So anyone who now say that the DPS or the healer is just silly.
  11. In other games when the number of tanks is so low that it take almost a hour for a DPS to get a group, they have a bonus system for tanks to try and make more tanks for hardmodes and that works great. And i do play a tank, and i do hardmodes on my vanguard alot, i don't even need to do any. But everyday i do many hardmodes with people asking for tanks in fleet so they can get their daylie quests done. And many from my guild does it too, but we also have DPS alt's that we want to get the daylie quests done on and gear up. But it is hard doing it at when you have to wait a hour just to get a group, and when you finally get one, the tank leaves without saying a word, and it almost always happens when Atise comes up. PS. The tanks don't leave because of bad DPS or anything, they leave before they enter it. So you can't really blame anyone but them.
  12. When is Bioware going to address this? It is silly that a DPS have to sit 30-45min in a queue for a hardmode, and 50% of the time the tank leave the party, and you have to requeue.
  13. Yeah i agree with that. But it seems atm they ate just trying to milk that CM cow as much as they can before the player base plummets again, you might start to wonder when that "cow" is going to run out
  14. I am not trying to start a huge homophobia, and i think that is something that is pretty silly anyway. If you are straight you can look away, you are not being forced to do anything, but i'll let it rest just saying i think it is a darn shame that the minority is being walked over because Bioware is afraid of some taboo and a phobia
  15. That is called discrimination and is offensive for us who are gay. But i guess offending the minority is okei, as long as the majority are happy.
