  1. Originally I proposed an idea in another thread of having 2 pvp brackets, (geared and ungeared). (Ungeared- No gear bonus, Geared- any gear bonus) A member of the community mentioned that it would not work since some classes are gear dependent. Which classes are gear dependent? Making a class gear dependent makes no sense to me at least. List what classes you think are gear dependent and why. So far Sage dependent on gear for damage abilities for defense and escape. Sent/Mau dependent on gear for damage abilities for defense and mobility. Agents dependent on gear for damage abilites for defense and escape.
  2. Geared and ungeared are exactly that. Ungeared- No gear bonuses, 0 none, Geared- Any gear piece that grants a bonus. +1 to endurance is enough. I am curious though what you meant by gear dependant classes. Which are they, and why do you think they are gear dependent. I come from a fps background so I am not sure what you are talking about with gear dependent.
  3. I got an idea. 2 brackets geared and ungeared. ilum stays the same. geared bracket- lvl 50 ungeared bracket - For the ungeared bracket all levels. No gear related stats boost only what your character naturally has. Hence even a lvl 10 will be competitive with bolster.

  5. I do not like the idea of having to perform honor killings lol. The idea of gaining honor through kills could be enhanced depending on who you kill because rolling lowbies vs 1 battlemaster should not provide the same benefit.

  7. Supposedly hybrid sages are supposedly OP or balanced. People are on either side of the fence for this. The truth is that full dps tele sage are underpowered. A full dps only class that has crap dots, no as much viability and crap burst.
  8. Melee is suppose to be the counter kill for sorcs not another ranged dps class..... I wonder why anyone would make the counter for a ranged dps class another ranged dps class. Whats the counter for the second class? What class had protection from losing 70% of hp when they finally got out of stun? Operatives needed the nerf. @ lvl 50 melee dps such as sentinels destroy sorcs.
  9. That must have been chain stun, ping pong heaven. Although few people died because sorcs cant kill anyone.
  10. Anyone who has not touched a sorc at lvl 50 should probably not chime in. Max damage as tele spec is around 2500 in a single hit on a none armored opponent. Sorry but no amount of cc makes up for that fact that sorcs have no burst when spec full tele. They have to fix the tele tree. Other classes have multiple bursts for twice that, wear better armor and have better damage mitigation. But because there is one sorc spec that is broken everyone complains about them being op.

  12. Thats a great idea. Myself coming form a fps background did not think of rated or unrated. (To me it would all be rated). However having the option for high level competitive play would give the system a longer lifespan. I will add it to the main post.
  13. Very harse criticisim of the development team, perhaps has a hint of truth though. However overall goal of the game was to create an mmo that was easier to get into. I think they have succeeded in that aspect. Although I do like your contributions. I will add them to the original post.
  14. I would hope it would not be just deathmatch.... I would go back to playing bf3 if that occurs.
  15. Everyone wants the gear that they achieve through pvp to mean something, and some players such as myself want PVP based on skill. Idea: Have 2 brackets for players using gear and not using gear. Remove current bracket of lvl 1-49 and 50. The real difference between players was not lvl as much as it was gear. Warzones: Bracket 1- no gear bonuses (none) no strength, willpower, aim..etc (Low levels get bolster that actually means something) Bracket 2 - gear bonuses allowed. Ilum or open world PVP. (No Change). Make that gear mean something as you strut around on ilum. Possible rewards: (ShizuXIII) - titles - emotes - cosmetic stuff - ladder position Rated Play: lvl X valor (Nodulo) - People that have played enough PvP can move up into the competitive bracket that should be able to track more stats. - better gear/perks for rated competition. - Non-competitive play gets initial gear to access geared bracket or ilum open world pvp on a more even footing.   16. I know it has been said too many times but you can clearly tell that the republic mirror is nowhere near as cool. The animations of sage compared to sorc leave me thinking why did I not pick the other class...
  17. tele ramps up faster than balance since it grants telekinetic wave which is fairly powerful.
  18. I doubt this is the case. It might be the hardcore initially chose Empire along with kids and casual/ less hardcore chose republic.

  21. I have a lvl 45 dps sage, and a lvl 14 guardian. The guardian can beat my sage 1v1... Though not by much.
  22. I would not find if they wielded two focuses instead of one and a glowing stat stick. Giving Sage lightsaber a Willpower base just makes more sense.
