I think its the difficulty of the game. SWTOR is really really easy in general. You can go 1-50 without wiping essentially. EQ or DAOC was hard, you died, and when you got some gear or did a hard quest you felt some sort of pride. You had to explore just to explore, that sort of stuff.

Well I really did unsub just to clarify. Its amazing how people completely burn and call you out to be all sort of stuff because you unsub. All I did was saying I unsubbed, and said what I think was wrong and wished you all a good weekend, thats it =) No need to act like children here. The appeal to GW2 is WvW, which if you ever played DAOC (greatest pvp game ever) will recognize is really an awesome experience. I would not call GW2 more casual than SWTOR, GW2 will be highly competitive because of WvW. Its basicly as hardcore as you want to make it, how bad do you want your server to win. There is no casual thing about it, really. The PvE might be, tho =) There is no raiding and such. But its not like Im missing raids from SWTOR, you breeze right through em =P See if your into PvP and raiding, SWTOR just dont give you enogh room to work with, thats all im saying. They are going the completely wrong direction with PvP making it less and less attractive, and raids are simply to easy for experienced players. Im really not "that" butt hurt over a video game, but I must admit that im rather disappointed in BW. I thought they would ace an MMORPG =) Sorry if my well wishes got your butts hurt tho, but still - Have a good weekend! =)

This game was way to casual BW, when you make Mass Effect MMORPG, make it so us experienced players dont get butt hurt after 10 days of playing, cracking your entire content buffet 3 weeks in. Personally I think the game shouldnt have been released yet, even with 1.2, they should have waited till 1.3, but ohh well =) Atleast it was the most fun game I have leveled up in =) Take care peeps, and enjoy your gaming. Sure, but see how long it took for em to get 1.2 out, a patch that basically should have been out at release. Cept maybe for the extra raid but the rest should probably have been out at release. The UI as it is not pre 1.2 is just one ofthe biggest newbie mistakes you can make in an MMO. Its not content, its stupidity im afraid. The legacy system should have been working for launch, there really isent an excuse that works for not having it in at launch. They are going to take sveral months redesigning Ilum, and by that time, GW2 will be out with what looks to be the best OWPvP out there on the market. So why even check out what Ilum has to offer by then? Its sad, because I really like BW as a company, but I cant stand behind they're work on this game at all.

I think you are mistaken. DAOC had great world PvP, Aion for as long as I played had good PvP. GW2 im very sure is going to have GREAT open world pvp. Your just a open world PvP hater, you want easy to que carebear WZ stuff, and thats fine. But alot of us likes more complex stuff than WZs, more diverse situations.

People who see world pvp as zerg vs zerg have not tried games tailored to world pvp. DAOC for examble. One of the best games ever made for PvP (same reason it boggles me why Gabe can screw up this badly) Sure, you wont always have fair fights, you wont always have 8v8 or whatever. Sometimes you have to run, sometimes you get caught, thats the game of OWPvP. But you had purpose, you knew what you could do other than just killing. You could help your whole realm with artifacts, you could control certain areas in the game. You could own castles etc, it was awesomeness. Open work PvP is not about fair game, its not area like conditions. Its about war! You want to control the planet/world or whatever your playing on. You want to push the others back and own as much as you can. Some of the game that are made for that is awesome. If you have smaller numbers than the others you will lose if you go head to head. Only a stupid mob would run head to head 50v100. So you hit em several places, and be gone before the zerg gets there, stuff like that. There is alot of tactics used in OWPvP, it is NOT just zerg vs zerg. Like I said earlier, if you think OWPvP is all abotu ZvZ, then you have clearly not played a game that catered, or you just ran with the zerg.

So what your saying is that world PvP can ONLY be zerg vs zerg? Im sorry guys, but then you have not pvp'd nearly enogh. There are many games where open world pvp works, and have purpose. Thats besides the fact that you sometimes get into situations you cant predict. WZ is the same as linear PvE. You join with the same amount of players each time, the same tactics and objectives... EACH time. There is no diversity. There is no greater or smaller number, there is no unknowns, everything put out neatly before you.

Exactly. This is not epic or anything the like. This is pure WZ spamming day in and out if you happen to like pvp. I know they cater to casuals, but seriously, how casual can it get!? They say they are redesigning Ilum, I would bet my kidneys that it is not within 3-4 months ateast. Of which you will be spamming WZ. Im predicting if you WZ spam for 2 weeks max, you got a full set of the new gear comming out. Which then makes WZ spamming the only thing you can do. That basically makes PvP in TOR meaningless. GJ man, GJ =/

It does not matter what you stack dude. Im not tryint to say you suck at PvPing, notat all. You just took all the glorious moments and put em into a video and if thats what you want to show, thats fine. But its fare from everyday reality =)
