  3. Glad your still around. I just recently came back myself. I remember trying dps you down with no success (there was a post to go along with it on the old forums). Hopefully you queue more often since there is a firepit with your name on it .
  4. The situation is strange. While there are plenty of people going into wz, few form teams. I think there might be hope for ranked wz maybe one guild with many pvp oriented members to coordinate. If you are forming a pvp oriented guild let me know, I would be interested at least.

  6. Well yes, rated. Lol. Hopefully we can get some competition to the older more established guilds so they won't leave the server . I am also considering the server transfers too actually. I would rather try to fix the community (I expect it would be cheaper). Thanks Swijr, I will take you up on it.

  9. Soc is actually not that bad, and most of his advice is decent. It's just he enjoys trolling as he loses. If you can troll him back it makes for a lot of fun. I enjoy trolling him at the beginning of games.

    This is the same reason that people get hit by casts after going behind pillars while trying to kite. Do you think abilities should still hit while you have clearly gotten behind cover? I guess we have to agree to disagree. Why implement this glitch in the first place why not just have the melee range at 6 meters instead of 4 + Safety range (which is difficult to quantify).

    IMO Master Strike should not be able to damage opponents at more than 4 meter range, since it has a specific range of 4 meters. If it is correct then the devs should change the description, because it seems glitched with regards to its description.

Pulse Cannon is a channeled ability with 10 meter aoe (cone) although it fails to hit some targets within the area. Master Strike should have a range of 4 meters. Once it has started it seems to have a range longer than 4 meters, especially the last strike.
  16. Hello My suggestion is to allow the use of the legacy name to show up on the chatbox, like guild chat. Many of us have more than one character and sometimes it is confusing to track friends that are on alternate characters even if we are on the same guild. Unifying the chat box name as the legacy name would allow players to quickly recognize friends that are playing on alternate characters.

  18. I wanted to get community opinion on how to fight other ac with a balance sage. Current rotation is weaken mind. sever force slow telekinetic till proc mind crush Force potency + relic + adrenals (everything) force in balance Project. -Repeat The rotation is really throwing everything I have got into the fight. If I am being chased I typically will root (sever force) and slow to get some distance then start the rotation. I keep the stun and mez until they are either under 15 % health or mara uses damage reduction. What changes would be recommended to fight other ac 1v1. This is what I have so far. Healers: The key is timing the stun and the interrupt correctly. This way you can prevent 2 heals when you have all the cooldowns. Sequence is interrupt stun (if they trinket wait for the heal and mez) Hopefully they will be low on health because if not then the sage cannot do anything further Melee Sents/ Maras/Juggs/ guards. 1) while they are running up root, slow and dot. While rooted or far away use telekinetic throw and hope for proc 2) If they jump KB and go to step 1 3) if they use damage reduction stun, This class is good at giving a mara trouble but cant kill them easily. Vanguards 1) Dot 2) run away 3) die Ops 1) They come out of stealth 2) run and die 3) stay and die Snipers 1) Dot 2) run around poles while interuppting. Commando 1) dot 2) interrupt 3) run around poles 4) wait 5) burst.
  19. OP the only class that has all the tools you have listed is a 31 pt balance sage. kb, interupt, slow, stun, instant mez, speed escape and root. The only thing they cant do is out damage the mara. A balance sage can beat a mara in a 1v1, but barely. Though anything beyond a 1v1 goes to the maras because the difference in damage is that much. Maras pump out a great deal more damage than sages.
  20. This sort of pushes me to suggest gear being standarized for each class as they go into wz again.

    Standardize Gear

    Gear should not dictate the outcome of a pvp match. I think each pvp class should have their gear bonuses standarized when they go into the wz. This would accomplish several things 1) Reduce complaints that gear dictates wz. 2) increase balance between factions 3) reduce new 50's or ungeared 50's from being destroyed when going into wz 4) CLASS BALANCE! The Devs can easily see if the gear bonus fit into their metrics for each class. They know it will be the same for everyone. 5) Reduce the perception that PvP is difficult! After this patch with no bonuses of money at least let everyone compete on an even ground. What do you think about this?
  22. I think that SWTOR needs to take a pvp gear and standardize it for wz. Every class should have their own gear buff regardless of what they wear (provided they are wearing something). IT WOULD MAKE CLASS BALANCE EASY! Also to the people asking for bioware to kill this game. There are certain things that are not good for a business and locking out your customers from what they purchased, is one of them.

    Bad Pvpers

    What are the bad pvpers going to do for credits and gear now? It does not seem right to take away credits, wz comms from the losing team and give them to the winning team. Not everyone wants to make a premade or play enough time to set up a premade with their guild (only an hour to play for the day). I believe this system should be fixed by implementing a modifier to how much wz comms and credits a player could get for the completion of a game. The PvP reward for winning could be implemented in rated, where winning matters. As it is now participation should matter to fix the gear differences. The modifier for credits and wz comms for the completion of a game should be the valor ranking. A value that determines how much pvping you have performed and how well you have done. A higher value is achieved by PvPing more and you should attain higher rewards. Why punish people that want to pug for wz when their performance and skill level (valor ranking) is higher than the teams desire to win?

    Give back credits!!

    The devs are showing too much support to the people that play all the time. The majority of subs come from others which end up facing these people in wz, only to get crushed. The gear difference is difficult to overcome and making people group is not always what they want to do. Bonuses to losing should be taken out, but not given to the winning team. Bonuses should depend on performance and objective play. If your team gets dominated but you set the one objective that your team managed to get then you should be rewarded.
  25. Shadows share the balance tree with sages, they can have force powers though that reduces their lightsaber abilities. Sages get bubble, heal, and cc. Shadows get more health and lightsabers skills (depending on the tree a stealth). Shadows together with maras/sents are the fotm by the way for pvp. Sage combat entails losts of evasion due to their low health with high amount of cc. If there is a situation sages probably have something for it (usually running away). Telekinetic is worthless in pvp standard cast is 1.5 sec and hits like a pillow, though it can kite well in a group situation. Works great in pve, extremly hard to run out of force. 1v1 sages are ok. 1v1 shadows are great/best Sages better (not much better) in group than shadows Full balance sages imho are being buffed in patch 1.2
