You are completely wrong. It's not a MMO until fishing is added.
-
If we are being honest, I think people take playing MMOs way too seriously, and put way too much drama into deciding whether to play a computer game. It can't get any more simple than if you like it, then play it. Otherwise, it's ok to not play it, or even like another game more.
-
One thing going for it is that it doesn't have a subscription fee, so the burden is less.

Actually AOC is doing quite well...you dont really read up do you?
They have added so much to that game its unrecognizable.
I like both games, and tbh they are totally different in every way. I know AOC caters more to the hardcore aspect of my playstyle, but im enjoying SWTOR for the fun romp it is. Im hoping Bioware fixes our graphics options though. AOC runs better on my system than SWTOR.
Why would I read up on that game? Played it at release, and tried it 4 months or so after release. The verdict is in. Funcom just releases crap games. There's too little time, and too many good games to bother going back or keeping track of a funcom game these days.

Not guy
They only care about US Customers. The 10AM CST is 5PM CET.
And talking about wars we've learnt about our past errors, however you still solve all your problems with weapons, in senseless invasions and wars.
But don't worry fanboy, keed doing that way and soon you will not any swtor to play, if BW doesn't listen to they customers this game is going to ****.
They should schedule European servers at a low population time too, and keep your moronic political views out of a game forum.

read whole posts at this thread, remember last tuesday how the forum went down. if you can find last weeks threads (cause some of them deleted) then think and then write pls.
I did read the post. His post is titled about scheduled maintenance, the majority of his post covers that, and one cryptic sentence at the end about the horror of the forums on Tuesday doesn't change much.
The fact remains that the best customer friendly time to schedule maintenance is when the fewest customers play. Now if you want to explain further about your traumatic experience on the forums Tuesday, feel free.

The pattern has been long established now. Huge numbers at release, then 25-50% of the player flock back to their previous MMO. It's up to BW to patch and improve the game to sustain and grow numbers. The only MMO to do a decent job of it since WoW released is Rift in my opinion.

again during the day time. i work at night shifts..yes i know about EULA but everything is not about what's written on papers. companies should care more about their customers imo. loosing 4 days a month is not cool. ofc can survive without it but just wanted to mention it's something makes me uncomfortable. i mean bioware not caring what happened last week tuesday at these forums..
Just think about when the majority of the customers play, and then think about your post.

Earlier, I had the choice of
- Freeing
- Leaving the person caged
- Or mercy killing
a person caged up in extreme pain and facing certain death. Seems like that covers all the options to me. There are few real moral decisions now and then.

This, someone got payed some $$ to trash the new game by funcom!
Hold on. This might be one of the five guys that like and still play AoC.

Yet another "I didn't do anything wrong but was banned" fantasy story.

I have tried both sides, and I can't take playing the empire side for more than 30 minutes before it gets to be too much. Not to say that the republic side doesn't have it's share of rude and obnoxious people.

Hunt down all the datacrons is what I plan on doing, along with finishing up any crafting skills. But I am not even close to 50. My highest is only 25.
-
A large portion of the threads are just kids trolling.
-
You have way too much idle time.
-
So what was the issue? Just curious.
-
Nah, I like it the way it is. This is not SWG thank god.
-
AoC was a fun game at release, but suffered from really bad devs that kept nerfing everything. I expect 25-50% of the people from release to leave with the first couple of months. That's how things work these days. Players that haven't seen anything but WoW keep trying to jump to new MMOs. They expect everything to be like WoW. Whip through game to the end, then post how they are bored and the other MMO is so much better. After much whining and drama, they leave.
Maybe SW is big enough to buck the trend but I doubt it.
-
Well, SWTOR does cost more for essentially less, and mindless fan base. So it does have that going for it in the analogy.
-
Wait. What's coming?
-
If they make them any smarter, then the companions will be smarter than 50% of the population, which would reduce grouping far too much.
-
Not to be confused with the other thread, "Soiled? stop"

My only suggestion is to get better at picking servers.
maintenance 8 hours?!!?!?!?!?!

Keep in mind that a server isn't just one box, and they have many servers that must get patched. At release, it typically takes longer because they are refining the process, but 4 to 8 hours is pretty standard downtime for MMOs.
