  1. You have confirmed that you do not have any clue what you are talking about. D3 will not even be playable offline. Please - and I mean this with the utmost amount of respect - go drown yourself in a bucket of bleach. The world will thank you for it, right before it forgets you even existed.
  2. My suggestions. I'd prefer all delivered at once but at least a few of these have to get implemented - 1. First and foremost, Prototype Flamethrower needs to be heavily modified. Flamethrower is terrible in PvP, with even the slightest bit of latency it's extremely hard to hit someone - with 40-50 latency I cannot tell you how many times I have blown fire in somebody's face at point blank range only see no damage delivered whatsoever. Furthermore, since PTs are a mostly-instant ability class, FT is the only ability we really have to interrupt - and so it gets immediately interrupted nearly every use. People might argue to CC somebody before a usage of it, but honestly such a core part of the damage of AP, and virtually the only respectable burst damage, should not require a CC to land on somebody. And that is pending the CC isn't broken. Recommendation - Make the talent double the width of the cone effect so as to deal with latency issues, and halve the time it takes to cast, making it a 1.5 second channel when fully talented with 5 stacks of the buff. Keep the +50% damage. 2. Add +30% crit damage to Rail Shot in the spec. Charged Gauntlets ads minimal damage on RS crits when the crits are extremely unremarkable to begin with. Furthermore make Charged Gauntlets make the next RS *free* in addition to making it crit. 3. Double the damage of RB's bleed effect, or double the initial kinetic damage. Honestly this is not adding a lot of damage, this ability looks and sounds awesome, but is very underwhelming. You're stabbing someone in the face ffs, make it hurt a bit more. 4. Add .5 seconds to Carbonize's stun effect (yes I know we have a pvp set bonus that does this, we should keep that too) and lower Carbonize's CD by 10 seconds. 5. Kolto Vents needs to proc whenever you lose heat from Prototype Cylinder Ventilation. Maybe 5% health regen'd over the 6 seconds in between each heat vent. That's less than 1% HP per second, and if you think regenning 10% health (about 1.6k for most geared PTs) over twelve seconds is OP you need to get out right now. That's not much at all, and badly needed survivability for this spec. These changes should roughly bring AP in line with Pyrotech's outright murderous power. AP will still do less damage than Pyrotech, but with the utility of AP these changes should still keep it competitive. As it is now a Pyrotech will outplay and outkill an AP of equal gear 100% of the time.
  3. How true. Like the bugs that prevented my Ops group from raiding HM KP and HM EV this week because some people just couldn't get into the instant/shuttle. And the bugs that prevented us from progressing in HM EV the week before that because of an endlessly resetting boss. And how the first time we killed HM Soa he dropped no loot. And how Gharj has killed all of us on the Imp Fleet before. Since we can't get the game to play properly due to design flaws and bugs, we have legitimate complaints. I guess all our complaints of a RNG being a horrible PvP-reward system and the fact that the only endgame content is clear-able completely on HM in a couple weeks leaving us with nothing to do are all illegitimate complaints. I only played vanilla WoW, where there were 40 man raids which were INFINITELY more challenging than what we have in SWTOR. Also, the fact that so many people "blew through content" (not playing nowhere near a hardcore pace) is not our fault. It is the fact that the content was ridiculously easy to blow through. I'm not just some god who can clear everything easily. I'm an average gamer. And all the content in SWTOR was insanely easy. I disagree with you man. Calling this game a challenge in any way shape or form I just disagree with 100%.
  4. I'm a Pyrotech Powertech with 620 expertise. I fear nothing in a 1v1 except a buff stacking Op/Scoundrel with all their CDs up, but that changes tomorrow.
  5. I have a full set of columni/rakata gear I got from clearing both Operations on normal and HM multiple times and the learning curve was miniscule. I beat this game already. This game hands you everything on a silver platter. There is no death penalty. To farm materials for crafting you send your minions on missions to get it all for you without ever leaving your space ship, instead of traversing the world to find rare materials yourself. This game is the easiest of any MMORPG ever made, period. The sense of accomplishment is nonexistent. I have the best of everything in this game including pvp gear and I have been at level cap for less than a month. How can you say this is the "old mmo feel?" You sound like you never played an "old mmo." The learning curve here is nonexistent. I'm sorry but I just disagree 100%.
  6. Nobody is "destroying the pleasurness of the ones who want.." Nobody forces you to come here and read these posts or threads. Lots of players are drawing attention to the worst problems in this game so that they may be addressed and fixed. This will improve the game for everybody, including people like you have clearly not yet experienced these problems but will one day unless they are resolved first. If you do not like that, you are asking for this game to die.
  7. DAoC is still alive and kicking for the record. And not F2P.
  8. lol x 10000 Says someone who has never had Gharj kill you while you are inside the imp fleet. Sooooooo much wrong with this game in the endgame. Go back to leveling your 31 Jedi. Come back when you're 50 and your Ops group cant raid because of bugs, and after you spent a couple weeks grinding 40 champ bags with nothing but tokens to show for it.
  9. I feel your pain OP. My first MMORPG experience was DAoC; I think that's a perfect example of a world you logged into rather than a game you logged into. Things changed every day back then - frontlines changed, keeps were taken and lost, faction relics stolen and retrieved. You could grab some buddies and go hunting epic monsters in endgame zones for who-knows-what-kind-of-loot. I really searched for why DAoC captivated me and made me want to log in every day on my infiltrator years after I had reached level cap, while only a few weeks of being at level cap in this game has me bored and considering cancelling my sub. I can't put my finger on it exactly. Maybe it's because I have all the best gear in the game for both PvE/PvP (and it wasn't hard to get). Maybe it's because PvP in a guild-premade is such a joke and way too easy to roll the enemy team. I guess in DAoC it never felt like I was done with my character. In SWTOR, it feels like I beat the game already. I won. There's nothing left to do...
  10. Holy **** you really went there. Like...there. I don't even Wat
  11. lol, I just got it, considering what word yiff is a substitution of. Pardon me while I go use the internet more so I can pick up on these things sooner.
  12. Nope. Playing until D3, then GW2 as well when it comes out. D3 will have a way better endgame, GW2 will have way better PvP, I can get my fill of both FOR FREE by playing both those games instead of SWTOR. I tried to love this game. 1-49 I succeeded. At 50 it just turned into boring korean grind =/
  13. Well I think that armor looks pretty badazz, and I wear it, but I also think it's the only cool looking endgame armor BHs get. Have you seen the Supercommando/Field Tech PvP helmets? They look absurd. Bug-eyes are not intimidating at all. Also our PvE helmets are straight up garbage. One has a huge unnecessary metal fin on the top of it, the other has some absurd half-crown thing bolted onto the back of it. Both helmets would look 100% better if it wasn't for the unnecessary crap bolted onto them that was just some designer going way over the top.
  14. Your statement is rigged and invalid. People who don't have fun but complain so as to point out problems so that things will be fun get told not to play. But if someone cancels their sub, people like you argue that their points are void because they don't play anymore. If someone doesn't have fun, they should point out why they are not having fun and request that the problems be changed, especially when the issues are legitimate problems such as bugs and programming errors.
  15. I read this as "So many people expect to have fun when a game is out, and they all shouldn't think that. Where do people these days get filled with such absurd fantasies?" Maybe as customers it's our damn right to expect a product to not come out without thousands of bugs and terrible design choices that make the game anywhere from unplayable (not being able to get into Ops, Gharj killing you while you're on the fleet, bosses resetting constantly so you can't advance, ect) to unfun (PvP bugs, Illum, instant abilities getting interupted, ect). And maybe as long as people like you keep waving your fanboi flag around insisting that it's all OK and everything is fine and nobody should complain and it will all be fixed one day, crappy products will keep being delivered to us on launch days.
  16. Games are not judged by what they might be in the future, and judgement should not be reserved for an undefined amount of time that you subjectively think is appropriate. Games are judged by what they are now. And now it's not the great game it could have been. l2semantics
  17. I play on your same server OP, although I'm Empire. I know exactly how you feel and I agree with you 100%. This game is getting boring, whether the fanbois want to admit it or not. There's just not a lot to do. You get to 50, you get geared, and...I don't know what it is about this game compared to other MMOs, but there's just no motivation at all to keep playing once you've done both those things. Combine that with bugs that are game breaking like not allowing an Ops group to raid or progress in the Op, to just plain making it un-fun like PvP exploits, and you have a game that just isn't very fun to play at 50. Yet every time a message similar to this gets posted it gets mercilessly lambasted by fanbois who insist everything is fine and that anybody who says otherwise deserve to have their tongue cut out and family killed IRL. Clearly the power of censorship and redaction will fix all of this game's problems! All we have to do is ignore the issues, not have fun playing in the meantime/roll 7 alts, and one day Bioware will fix all the many glaring issues and everybody will come back and it will be a miracle.
  18. Powertech/Vanguard or Sorc/Sage imho. They're both great duelists but playstyle preference will usually make one better or worse for you.
  19. How do you think data is collected? By experience. It is valid. It takes 20 seconds longer to kill the same council member on HM EV as AP than it does as Pyro, 100% of other factors including gear and buffs being the same. I tested this once, so some people point out there might be a randomness factor. I disagree, or I at least believe such a factor to be minimized due to the time of the fight (it takes a while, mob has over 100k health). But even if there was such a factor, it couldn't possibly be more than 5-10 seconds, which is being extremely generous. However, such a factor works both ways - it could have taken 5-10 seconds longer as well as shorter. Either way though, it is an empirical fact that Pyro does a fair deal more damage than AP. You can deny that all you want dude. I don't care . But you look funny doing so, especially without doing any tests for yourself. I just don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth and calling me biased. You're the one being insulting here.
  20. By your same logic I could say "Shield-Tech does more damage than Pyrotech. It feels like it does. There are no combat logs out yet so you can't prove me wrong." I'm sorry but that's just not a valid defense. People have tested this, I'm far from the only one. AP does less damage than Pyro, tested and confirmed in controlled tested using time as the judging factor. You might as well argue the sky is yellow =/
  21. There's so many things wrong with this. I'll cover them all in order. 1 - I'm not bashing you. I never insulted you. I stated facts that were counter to statements you made, because what you said is disinformation and deserved to be corrected. I did this so every powertech would have accurate information instead of the inaccurate information you were spreading, I never once insulted you in doing so. 2 - I never said that you said any of those 3 points you're trying to get me to point out to you. Why you're asking me to point them out to you is beyond me. You are being overly defensive and putting words in my mouth. What you said was, and I'll quote it a second time for you - "So it while on paper Pyro may be the uber dps. In theory it always comes out about the same". That statement is false. That is the statement I took issue with. Not whatever else it is you're trying to get me to point out to you for some reason. 3 - I never said AP was horrid. What I said was along the lines of, and in more words - "AP isn't hated, it's just that it's outclassed by Pyrotech at PvP and needs to be buffed." But I appreciate you putting words in my mouth a second time. Fine display of maturity. 4 - You're calling *me* biased? All I did was test both specs without judgement in controlled environments, then tell you the facts. That is not biased. You argued against these facts in favor of personal preference without having done any testing for yourself. THAT IS BIAS, by definition. I could care less how you play. I never once tried to tell you how to play. All I did was state the facts, and you're getting so defensive about it that you're trying to say I insulted you and made claims I never did. All I ever did here was make objective statements. You're acting like a child.
  22. So sorry for having lost you. Everybody is so quick to say Pyro does uber more DPS because that's what everybody who has tested both specs has concluded. And we always have to deal with people like you who haven't done such testing but think AP is cooler and so ignore facts to suit your preferences, often hiding behind the shield of "NO COMBAT LOGS CANT PROVE IT." http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/854/screenshot2012010911075.jpg/ Good luck ever breaking 400k as AP, mid-300k is FANTASTIC damage as AP. 350k is a mediocre game at best for me as Pyrotech. And AP has access to more powerful AOE than Pyro so don't try that excuse. I am rank 52 and have bounced back forth between both specs dozens of times to test them both, for PvP and PvE. My most solid test was testing both specs on the Council fight in EV. AP takes about 33% longer to kill the same council member than Pyro. Staying on a target twice as long doesn't mean you're doing more damage, especially when Pyro can effectively DPS at range and AP can't. AP's utility is designed, ultimately, to aide in the killing of your foes - and thus is outclassed by anything, utility or damage, that aides on the killing of your foes more effectively than the utility AP provides. Saying "So it while on paper Pyro may be the uber dps. In theory it always comes out about the same" is completely absurd. They are not the same, in theory and in paper and in play. Pyrotech significantly out-damages AP. Your theorycrafting is invalid, I'm sorry.
  23. If I only ever played SWTOR and Neopets at release I would give a slight edge to SWTOR's pvp as well. Very slight.
  24. To be fair I don't think sorcs are OP in general. They're OP in Huttball because they stand on ledges and do nothing but shoot lightning at melee classes down below, then just knock them off after they get charged and lightning again. If Huttball didn't exist sooooo much of the whining about how sorcs are OP would evaporate instantly.
