  1. Good old Bioware and their early access... install the patch, bugs, problems and all, have 2 days of crap before a miraculous hotfix in time for "official" live 2 days later. Seriously... "check your network"? Meanwhile... Disturbed and Sound of Silence is somewhat appropriate given the usual on-the-ball response from BW. #fedup
  2. being able to "outfit designer"-equivalent the mainhand/offhand slots would be a nice QoL improvement to have. Can they do it without breaking the entire planet? Maybe. Can they be bothered to do it? Probably not, especially given all the armour clipping issues, and even the freaking hairstyle clipping issues that they can't fix. I'll have it one a character or two, but my 224 mainhand is in a legacy saber anyway so I'm not about to rip those mods out to stick them in a fugly mainhand that's only intended for story purposes. Arcann/Vaylin will be perfectly killable in whatever chapter we actually get down to business regardless of the weapon you're using.
  3. screw it... after several really crappy days at work, looking forward to a nice, long evening on SWTOR as is frequently what I enjoy doing I will instead go to bed. And I'm confident that in about 20 hours when I am next able to get logged on to get my addictive fix, you will have things (for the most part) up and running though with undoubtedly a few new broken but generally tolerable mechanics. Given this particular update was already postponed a month, and yet you still managed to overlook a major flaw... I would say Alliance alerts qualifies given it is one of the backbones of KotFE... speaks volumes for your testing program. However, I love the game and will probably be here until you turn the lights out. Sadly, I expect we'll see the same shenanigans when Chapter 11, 4.2 or whatever the next big patch is. Hopefully that week, real-life won't have been doing it's best to beat me to a pulp, set fire to my body and pee on the embers, meaning I'll be less grumpy and less susceptible to the disappointment of yet another poorly implemented patch. See y'all ingame tomorrow.
  4. I hadn't noticed that... what a douchebag move to make. Geez BW... you really love sticking it to your player base don't you? Good thing I've been grinding away non-stop for 3 months getting my most-played characters up to a respectable Alliance stage. Guess I'll just mothball the rest of them.
  5. BW didn't do much actual testing... again... and the patch broke stuff... again... So early access, is basically access
  6. Early Access - Delivered late... Bioware... the excellence of execution
  7. probably something involving the memory core being salvaged from the scrap pile that was left
  8. I've got everyone (excluding the dearly departed that story dictates you cannot save) maxed out on influence. Mind, I'll only be doing it on the one character given the insane amount of gifts, time and expense required... and with the companion gift mission nerf upcoming. I expect there'll be some benefit to having the main players at level 20... remember, you couldn't unlock the SF buff boxes unless they were at level 10. And the acknowledgement email you get when hitting 20 implies something further may be following. Still, getting those 4 up to 20 is relatively easy. I've got 3 characters with them at 20, another almost there. Not stressing
  9. I don't mind at the moment... I've got a massive stockpile in my bank awaiting Kira's return so plenty of time to fix the thing. And after 5 years absence, she's gonna be getting a lot
  10. 65 Guardian DPS, mix-216/220/224 gear... Very much basic view from the Ilum H2 and it does seem there's some massive gimping in the higher level H2s versus the lower level ones. 1-shot my way through for instance Tython or Corellia with less than a 5-10% drop in health. Hit Ilum and its finishing up fights with between 30 and 50%. Not the end of the world admittedly, but it's the numbers from the heals that's worrying. My Level 50 Lana was healing with Hots of about 600-650, with the occasional burst of 4000. My Level 14 C2-N2 (yes I'm doing THAT achievement) was dealing hots about 350-400 with a burst up to about 1800. My Level 2 2V-R8 (yes, THAT achievement as well)... was doing about 325-350 and burst about 1700. Given how long it takes to achieve influence/affection with these companions, the gain in abilities is a poor return. a 100-125% increase over 48 levels? Yet I did the Revan encounter on Yavin4 for the weekly and blitzed through it with Lana in DPS mode. Health got low a lot, but it does seem that having companions on heal is greatly inferior than trying to melt the opposition and keeping them in DPS and praying.
  11. initialising for the last half hour... been subbed since day 1 without a break, been very tempted in recent months to call it quits. Very, very tempted at the moment. Always loved the game, but always implementation patches and customer service has been diabolical. /sigh
  12. While I like the overhaul of the flashpoints and the addition of "solo" mode... I don't see how lowering the player's level/gear to that of the flashpoint will encourage anyone to go back and play through it. Yes, for the story maybe... but they are time consuming and part of the reason for doing it is the gear. If I'm playing through just for the story, frankly being overpowered works better (IMO) especially since the gear is pretty much irrelevant now. So the new plan is to make the solo FP option take longer to kill the trash in getting through it, presumably reward little to nothing for doing it other than just for story's sake? All the more reason to burn through them now as many times as I need to for the achievements while it's an easy run, because I see little point to revisit them in October and have it take 3 or 4 times as long because I've suddenly got the power of a lvl 25 (or whatever).
  13. a mere 225 days, 3 hours and 15 minutes... I feel like I've been slacking
  14. Revenue IMO would be down when the team get lazy and complacent and keep churning out packs filled with reskinned crap. There's no way I'm paying extra RL cash for what's been in the last dozen or so packs. If others want to, fine, I'll have a look at the GTN and the occasional item that's on there I'll buy for creds. The most recent pack, the only item I was remotely interested in was the feign death regen tool... an entire pack and one item? The armour sucks, if it was legacy bound it might have more appeal but it's not so again, GTN and buy for creds for the ONE character that might suit it. Yeah, BW will get my sub because I enjoy the completely unrestricted game... however I won't shed any tears if the udders on their little cash cow are running dry.
  15. Or you can give one of the officers a shout ingame any evening. There's usually at least one of us about, myself I'm normally on from about 8pm GMT until around midnight on one of the toons listed in my signature.
  16. Greetings from Sunfall, a small outpost not far from Anchorhead, Tatooine. The holiday season is almost over and it's time to resume our efforts to preserve peace and prosperity throughout the galaxy and for that we need YOU! We are looking to recruit new friends and colleagues to help preserve those things we all love and hold dear. Except Womp-rats... fee free to bullseye those diseased little pests whenever the urge strikes. Our requirements are simple... we would like to see mature-minded players join the family. Whether you're twelve or seventy-two, if you know what your character(s) can do then we won't hold age against you. We have our own dedicated TeamSpeak server for our raids, or random banter and our own website. You'll find we're a relatively mature and sensible bunch who enjoy the fun of a random raid as much as we enjoy an attempt at progression through the harder mode operations and we'd like to see you join the party. So if you're interested, or just want to have a look and see what we're about, please visit our website: http://www.sunfall-rebels.eu or give one of our members a shout in game.
  17. Oh I dunno... they could do it so you effectively swap faction but keep the same 'class'... IE a Sith Juggernaut undergoes a quest chain and bang at the end he's at Tython starting the Knight storyline suppose it might mean a level reset in the process, but as long as you kept all your gear (even if in storage) until you hit the perquisites again, it might be fun
  18. to be honest, i'd settle for something that would tell you how long you've /played across the entire account in one go rather than checking individual toons
  19. Likewise... downloaded the so-called 'pre-patch' when I had to crash out of game yesterday, luckily saw the forum posts about it and left it til the servers came back up this afternoon and promptly got the 11gb download start for Main Assets 001. After many hours, a further 6gb for Main Assets 138... and no doubt many more hours to download more stuff (the overall progress bar is approx 35% complete current), this one is not a happy chappy. I suppose I've been lucky over most of the last 2 years in not having experienced some of the problems many others seem to have, but this is a pretty spectacular screw-up with no apparent fix in place or forthcoming. Other than, basically a total reinstallation.
  20. When he aggro's random mobs and dies for being a blithering idiot while I stealth away.
  21. I'd love my Jedi to have the X-70 Phantom or XS Freighter
  22. Greetings from Sunfall, Makeb has been explored but we're not done with those pesky Hutts yet, nor has the Empire gone away. We're still on the lookout for new allies of all classes to join our merry band and thwart their plans. There's more work to be done and why should the Republic divide its resources? So if you're looking for a unit to run with, someone to have fun with, give us a whirl. BYO doughnuts
  23. Hello again all, SFR still on the air, still going strong and still on the lookout for new members. While our doors are open to all looking for an active and friendly guild with regular ops and flashpoint (not to mentioning a growing imperial side to park our evil alts) we would particularly like to hear from tanks and healers. Yes, there seems to be a shortage in the game as a whole, and we do have sufficient to run ops but it'd be nice for the regulars to be able to run their alts in DPS mode occasionally. So if you're interested and the above posts fit the criteria for what you're looking for, give us a holler.
