  1. Okay, so MK isn't important. that helps a lot thanks haha And for "story modes" are those just the storymode ops? And im assuming once I get higher rated gear the other ops and hm fps will appear in the group finder list?
  2. So, I'm lost. I know I have to get to Operation gear because it's the best in the game currently, but to do that I need to get up more first. I have mostly MK-4 gear and, well, I'm lost. MK-1 is Operation gear, right? And it's best. And MK-4 is the basic FP gear, so I figured that meant the numbers descend. Yet on the GTN I see MK-26, 24, 2... and some like the MK-26/4 are better than my MK-4, and the MK-2 is worse than my 188 gear (so worse than everything). I'm so lost, can someone explain to me what I should do, as in how to gear up properly and efficiently? Or link me to a guide that explains this all? Also should I use my free lvl 60 to get synthweaving and make MK-26/4 gear? Sorry for this I know it's ultra nooby. Thanks!
  3. If I want to eventually switch to PvP how should I go about getting the set bonuses?
  4. Do I want the "Force-Master's" bonus for the Force Potency stack or the Stalker bonus for the autocrit on Shadow Strike? I don't really know which on is best, though if I had to guess it would be the first. And yes I know the rotation for the class =P Also, how would I obtain the set bonus? I'm lvl 65 but do I need to do OPs or can I buy the armor mods off the GTN? Thanks! Edit: oh and if I want to eventually get into PvP should I build a PvP set only or along side a PvE set? Thanks!
  5. So, I'm now lvl 65. Do I have to do Ops? (I'm only PvE), or can I buy the armoring mods off the GTN?
  6. I just beat my class storyline (the first one I've ever beaten). What comes next? Rise of the Hutt Cartel or Shadow of Revan? Thanks!
  7. Wow. This is by far the most helpful community I've ever been in. Thank you so much for your response, cleared it all up perfectly!
  8. Yes yes, this is super noob-y, but I'm confused. I know there are set bonuses, and these are very important, and there are different once for different classes. But I've seen a few videos where people hovered over their gear and they had set bonuses, yet they didn't have the set. So like, the guy had all the set bonuses for, something, (it said 7/7) but he had like only 2 pieces I think from 1 set. And he had the 2/4/6 piece set bonuses. Also, is the only way to get them at level 65? So essentially, What are set bonuses? How do you get set bonuses? Thanks!
  9. So, my friend was a huge jerk and spoiled the whole thing with HK-55's fate in KOTFE, and while I'm salty about it, I'm more concerned about the sub reward. I recently started playing and haven't made it to KOTFE yet, but I've had sub long enough to get HK-55 as the new reward. If he dies in KOTFE after I get my sub reward (in other words I don't get to KOTFE before I get him as the sub reward) then will he die and will I lose him for good? He sounds so awesome I really really don't want to lose a companion for good, especially if it was a sub reward :/ Also assuming I don't lose him for good, with him being the new reward, does that mean I can get HK-55 AND HK-51 permanently? Thanks for helping out your resident noob
  10. Thank you for the response, and the helpful info! I wish they would tell us the relation between the ratings but oh well haha.
  11. I couldn't find a better place for this so my apologies if this post is in the wrong place. First and foremost, this is simply to satisfy my curiosity. Now then, I wanted to figure out how Armor is calculated. That being, when modding gear, what -if any- equation determines how the armor mod affects the Armor Value and the Rating. So I bought 2 cheap armor mods and a cheap piece of adaptive gear. Gear piece: 6 Armor Rating of 8 Mod 1: Armor Rating 46 Mastery 7 Endurance 8 Mod 2: Armor Rating 88 Master 20 Endurance 21 The Rating always became that of the armor mod, as expected. But the Armor Value made, well, no sense. With Mod 1 in, the armor Value became 78 With Mod 2 in, the armor Value became 180 Endurance is about HP not Armor, and Mastery is about aptitude in combat, so, it has to be the Armor Rating, right? If it is the Rating that decides the Value, then is the Value just an arbitrary number the developers decided to assign to adaptive gear based on the Rating? (I'm assuming this differs for Light, Med, and Heavy?) Or am I missing some equation, complex or obvious, that determines this? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers with a helpful response!
