  1. The FPA continues to look for new recruits for our imperial operations and contracts. If you're eager, have a big gun, a full medkit or really thick armour, send an ingame email or whisper to any of the following and we'll bring you on board. Gaviral Loamie Karrbon Mr-dbringer Pazoic Yrybow Sinist-ur Notori-ous Disclaimer: FPA is a subsidiary of Sunfall Rebels, incorporating assest from LRDP and JEA. Former members or associates more than welcome.
  2. "A long time ago, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a Republic court for a crime they didn't commit. These men (and women) promptly escaped from ab maximum security stockade to the Galactic underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if the Sith Empire won't help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire, the FPA" Starring: 'Hannibal' Sinist-ur 'Faceman' Zedo Mr 'Howlin' Mad' Dbringer and 'BA' Karrbon Co-starring: Yrybow Grybow Loamie Paran Gaviral (positions available for additional FPA co-stars) Greetings, yes? (trademark pending - Nutbunnies inc) We are the FPA, available for many of your mercenary and specialist needs... no job is too big, no fee is too big. Due to expanding corporate interests we are seeking additional staff to help with our increasing workload. Affiliation to the Dark or Light side is less important that your interest in helping us to keep our balance sheet very, very healthy. From an organisational standpoint, the FPA is the Imperial side of our firmly established Republic guild Sunfall-Rebels. Many of us have been very active on the Republic side of the game for the past year and now the time is upon us to unleash our more shadowy natures. As Sunfall Rebels, we are very active with multiple raids and operations running, most are scheduled but if the numbers are up for it a spontaneous one coud take place at any time. Our aim is now to establish a base on the other side of the fence. We have tried playing as part of other guilds, leaving the operation to their leadership but it has inevitably not worked out. As SFR we have a solid core that not only enjoys playing the game but also enjoys the banter of an evening on Teamspeak. So now we look to shape our own destiny and take the formula that has made our Republic guild so solid and experience the other half of the game. We have several fully levelled characters (enough to run 8-man ops only at the moment) with more rapidly on the way up but would also like to invite other Imperial players to join and become part of the foundations for what we aim to make a thoroughly fun and solid guild. Perhaps you only play Darkside... that's fine, if you're up for it, we'd love to have you aboard. If you have characters on both sides, bring them all. The main officers are listed above if you want to drop us a message ingame or you can apply through the main website at http://www.sunfall-rebels.co.uk and we'll bring you aboard.
  3. I don't think gear will matter... a lot of 50 mains are kitted in the Ops gear which goes as high as Level 63 for Dread Guard. Will we start seeing Orange/Purples drop up to 55? Probably, but its not necessarily such a bad thing as we're only looking at Tionese/Columni equivalent... stuff people can easily enough farm from story-mode ops anyway. What the level cap will do is give a boost to your character stats as well as 5 more skill points for the tree, so it's a first step towards the clamoured for 'dual spec'.
  4. Continuing to go from strength to strength, SFR welcome back players from days gone by along with those new to the fight against the Sith Empire. Our doors are still open to all who wish to fight the good fight. Whatever your level, whatever your profession, perhaps your destiny lies with Sunfall Rebels.
  5. Free to Play... a gift from the Light Side or an affliction from the Dark Side? Search your feelings, your insight will serve you well. Sunfall Rebels has welcomed back some who departed for other worlds, dissatisfied with the game in the early days and we welcome them back with open arms. We also welcome other players, maybe veterans returning, or those new to the game who are trying it out without spending so much as a penny. Like Bioware, it is our hope (and belief) that the amazing storylines of the individual classes, plus the immense vastness of this game will draw you in in such a way that you will choose to stay. SFR has been here since Day 1, the vast majority of us remain subscribed and almost a year down the line, we still have content to do, and that's just on our main characters. We don't believe in powering through the game, blitzing the content in a matter of weeks and then disappearing until the next content arrives. We believe in the fun and enjoyment of doing something with friends. Could I find something else to do on a weekend? Sure... but do I want to? Not really. F2P will bring new players, and it will drive off some of the old guard, sadly that's inevitable... however Sunfall Rebels remains committed and will be here for a long time to come. If you're new, or returning to The Old Republic and would like to be part of an enjoyable experience with a guild where flashpoints, groups and ops are regularly on the go and there's a limitless amount of banter... Here's where the fun begins.
  6. He comes fully kitted out regardless of the level of your character... his stats scale. If he's got nothing at all, then you're bugged and need to ticket it. I've got one on my 50 that I unlocked and one on my level 23 (bought that one and he has full 50-gear with the same mods as my main) as that's my main focus at the moment. Seeing as his stats have scaled up the last 2 levels, I don't need to worry about replacing any of the mods until 50. Then I can look at swapping out for purples, if I decide to keep using him.
  7. And last night saw our second run through of Explosive Conflict, some with alts, some people doing it for the first time but all in all, an excellent run with only two wipes mainly as our party adapted to slightly different mechanics brough about by a different mix of players. The next few weeks will continue to see refinement and general mastery of EC but we would like to put it out there for new members once again, all classes are welcome. We're right on the borderline for being able to run 16-man operations on a regular basis once a couple of other people get their characters to 50 but obviously we would like a few more people to join the family. We don't necessarily have a need for a specific class, but we would obviously like people who want to be a part of a solid, respectable guild with a dedicated core that enjoys the game. We know you're out there, and some of you won't have guilds already. Maybe you prefer solo play for the most part... some of us do to... but operations and flashpoints are so much more fun when you're running them regularly with the banter of some good friends on Teamspeak. So drop a member of Sunfall Rebels a message in-game... or you can mail me on Gavriel/Naomi/Clarisse/Naomie and I can get back to you as soon as I can. You'll usually find me ingame on one of those characters anywhere from 7pm GMT through to around 1am GMT. Is Sunfall the place to be? Search your feelings...
  8. Our first serious attempt at running through Explosive Conflict now that we've got a good pool of well geared players able to fit the roles. More about feeling our way through and enjoying the evening, we we wiped half a dozen times but we had a good laugh and will soon overcome the challenge. On the darker side of the news, with a substantial pool of Republic characters and storylines explored... you may soon see more of us playing the other side of the field. So watch this space, I may start touting for your custom with the aid of some Force Lightning. Be well fellow Republicans (/whisper 'and Imperials')
  9. 1.4 is now upon us along with a new Operation that we have an eye on. The coming weeks will see Sunfall refining tactics, tweaking and improving gear as we tackle and work to master Explosive Conflict. There's no need to make a mad dash, we're in this to have fun, not get bragging rights. Still looking for that guild that values individuals over gear? For whom enjoyment of the game is why we play, not to blast through content then spend months complaining that there's nothing to do? You know who we are, and we're easy to find. Just look for the Sun... you'll find us where it Falls
  10. I'd go with this one. I have a couple of reasonably common names from Nightmare Lands and I tried placeholding before the first server mergers on Red Eclipse and couldn't get the names. With the super merger, my names came with me. So I'd reckon there's a couple of sub-level 50s or inactive accounts there who need to rename.
  11. Greetings to everyone on the Red Eclipse. We are Sunfall Rebels, formerly of the Nightmare Lands from pre-launch to present, and we're a solid, well-established guild with 8 years of history throughout numerous games. Our origins can be traced back to SWG, and the Euro-Chimaera server that was our home for the life of the game. When The Old Republic was announced, it was inevitable we would arrive here. Having survived two rounds of server mergers unscathed we're now calling Red Eclipse our home and are looking for new members. We're made up of a core of dedicated players, most of whom you'll find online almost every, if not every night... and numerous more casual players who might only have the time to come on a couple of times a week. We never have been, nor will be a guild that wants only hardcore raiders. If you enjoy raids, we run them and run them regularly, and the raids are open to all who wish to put their name down to join. We would like to welcome new members who want to be part of a fun, pleasant guild with ambitions to build a legacy for ourselves... not through powergrinding and establishing an elite raid team that locks out the vast majority of members... but a broad, multi-talented pool of people who want to be a part of the experience. When you become part of Sunfall, we want to be the place that you want to be in a game. What we would ask if for participation in the guild. You don't have to be a level 50 Black Hole geared superhero to contribute. Get involved in chat, have a bit of fun levelling some alts across the planets in a small group (we all know how boring that can get solo). We'll do all we can to support you so you enjoy your experience with us, and hopefully decide you never want to be anywhere else. So, if this has some appeal, get in touch. You can speak to any of our members ingame and they will put you in touch with an officer, myself and you will be able to reach me via Gavriel, Naomie or Clarisse. Or head over to our website... www.sunfall-rebels.co.uk and send us a message. Home, is where the Sun Falls.
  12. EA's stock plummetted because of a series of bad decisions, starting with the botched Battlefield launch, the disaster that was Dragon Age 2, the fact the whiney brigade spoilt with WoW didn't immediately sing this game's praises and ongoing PR disasters such as leaked F2P possibilities, Mass Effect 3... the list goes on. Who knows, maybe one day Lucasarts will say enough's enough, buy Bioware from EA and and let them do what they do best... develop a top notch game when not answering to pen-pushers who made their money on sports tie-ins.
  13. After a really crappy month on a personal level, the last 4 days been nothing but good... topped off with the news that Nightmare Lands is a destination server. That cements a further 6 month sub from me. Cheers lads and lasses.
  14. I whole-heartedly agree with this, as opposed to the total love-fest they have for Red Eclipse. Mr Negative in me thinks we'll be an origin server by early next week though.
  15. With all the servers so far only going to Red Eclipse, I rolled a few toons to try and preserve names or variations... all bar 2 of my names are taken so far (typically the characters/names I like least) but my 2 mains are a lost cause. Given Nightmare Lands is meant to be the 4th biggest in the EU and everything else thus far has gone Red Eclipse, I'm now of the opinion NL will find itself an origin server before long. I've long planned to stay here long-term but the effective consolidation of all servers into a couple and allocation of names down to the lucky ones who picked the destination leaves a sour taste. How many names are tied up with unsubbed accounts for instance? With 26 days logged against on of my mains and 20 against the second, it's a bitter pill to swallow if I was to lose those names and stay in game. As it stands, my outlook is very negative, but the sky isn't quite falling yet. 2 months left on the sub anyway so it's not like I have to make a decision today, or even this week on whether I'll stand by BW and ToR.
  16. they seem to be focusing on the transfers into the largest servers only as it stands... all euro pve servers are going to red eclipse. Nightmare Lands as the 3rd largest PvE has been totally blanked so far
  17. I hereby complain about the addictiveness of the game... I only have inklings of boredom after clocking hour 60 of any given week and I blame BW totally for my obsessive enjoyment of this game. My name is Podge and I'm a TOR-aholic
  18. well i got "unable to retrieve patch data, please check network connection"... which is therefore stopping my launcher from actually launching but fortunately not stopping me playing FM12 and pr0n-hopping
  19. likely the best we'll get is instanced guild capital ships that you can reach via the fleet transport.
  20. Sunfall Rebels is up and running in The Old Republic, laying the groundwork for the future Rebellion. If you've played on Chimaera back in the heyday of Star Wars Galaxies you'll have seen us about, the Carebears of the server. We've gone through some changes, reorganised a little and put in place a little more structure within the guild to suit the mechanics of the game but we're still the same friendly, chatty bunch we always were. If you were a SFR member before, come on back you know you'll be welcomed with open arms. If you weren't, well you can fix that and get in touch now. Below you'll find some of the basics of what we've got in place now. * The Trials - split over Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesday will see the <40 Heroics and flashpoints with Thursdays taking in the 40-50 Heroics, Flashpoints and Hard Modes. * World Bosses - Wednesday will see a raid of the world bosses around various planets. Because of the time involved with killing some of them we might only get 3 or 4 done in a given week but we'll get 'em all in due course. * Raids - Friday night events taking in the high-end operations... Eternity Vault, Karagga's Palace etc. Saturdays may see more of the same, depending on demand. * Buddies - Stuck in a quest, a particular Heroic causing problems that you really could use a higher level to blitz through it so you can get the rewards... put out a word in guild-chat and see how many white knights will charge to assist. Our main game focus is PVE but we have several dedicated PVP'ers so don't feel like you're going to be pigeonholed into one means of playing the game. Everyone is different and we look to support all our members. So come on, sign up with the ancestors of the Rebellion. Visit the website and submit your application there, tell us who you are (or were), or contact one our members in-game and our officers will be happy to get you tagged and back where you belong. www.sunfall-rebels.co.uk /w Gavriel - Podger - Naomi - Naomie
