  1. the simple fact of the matter is swtor failed (in the eyes of EA) and you can tell the effort has only been half-hearted to improve the game. /thread
  2. i saw someone post to go up to 11 points in sawbones for slow-release medpac and then go up scrapper for your dps. and thats what i did and it worked really well. i got bored of corso after ~36 levels tho so i switched to risha and kept my spec the same and i still can take any champ and i kill pretty fast with little to no downtime. and risha gets my cast off gear so that works out well. for pvp i switch between full scrapper and full sawbones depending what mood im in. both are pretty fun.
  3. sentinel - watchmen spec - just beat him @ 25, with level 24 strength stim, kira, and no medpacks. kira lived with 1/3 health, i had 1/2. i used interrupts when available. not sure what the issue is. the boss of the last heroic 2 on nar shadaa was tougher.
  4. WAR had 15-20 sec CC immunity after u get cc'd, and most cc's given to tank/healer classes. that games pvp was great (say what you want about the rest of it, but the pvp was very well done). giving cc immunity after you are cc'd actually makes the game MORE strategical and interesting because you dont just mindlessly spam cc all game, you have to think about when you use them. i think this will never happen in swtor (and why i wont renew) because they would have to change large parts of the game and i just dont see them doing that at this point.
  5. im kind of new to swtor pvp, but not mmo pvp. Ive been pvping in mmo's since daoc, and have played damn near all of them to one extent or the other. swtor pvp is interesting atm because it is new (to me). but right off the bat i could tell the cc was insane. a simple fix (taken from WAR) would be 5-15 sec of cc immunity after you are cc'd. this means you have to choose when to use your cc's a bit more instead of just mindlessly spamming them. honestly i just started pvp'ing yesterday (got my scoundrel to 36 and got shoot first) and after 2 hours it started to hit me that the cc is really crazy in this game. and after 3-4 hours i could tell if we were going to win just by which classes i had on my team. not to mention healing on my scoundrel is perhaps the worst implementation of pvp healing i have seen. just absurd really how stupid that is. i rolled a scoundrel primarily because i like healing in pvp. on my chloro mage in rift, or runepriest or archmage in WAR, or druid in WoW pvp healing was a blast. on my scoundrel it was a snoozefest. luckily scrapper spec was fun.
  6. thats a great thread. i bookmarked it. i read through the first half of it and it seems scrapper was about what i expected, and wanted (high burst, high mobility, but squishy, and not faceroll).
  7. im asking about dps spec. if im heal spec i dont expect to kill anyone. thanks for the info guys
  8. a lot of information at there is outdated or seemingly aimed at pve discussions. i couldnt care less if scoundrel dps in pve is lackluster. what i do care about is killing someone in pvp. i like healing, and that is part of the reason i rolled a scoundrel. but i like killing people too. simply put, once you are geared, and you pick a nice squishy target, can you kill them? at lvl 50.
