  1. Honestly, I don't remember a single time the boss punished a tank in Storymode for not standing in the circle, so that's entirely possible. But anyway, there isn't much difference in the strategy how you kill the boss. Following your assumption, you would need to make sure that both tanks have a circle. Best way to do that would be to stand on top of each other and rest of the raid behind the boss. Maybe it's a hardmode mechanic that tanks have to stay within a certain range of each other.
  2. The circles indicate the maximum range of one tank to the other tank. If one tank (being the center of one circle) stands within the circle of the othter tank, the damage will split between those two and you are doing mechanics right. In Hardmode or Nightmare difficulty there are no cicles visible but the range of that damage-split-mechanic is the same as in Storymode.
  3. This. Shadowplay is only mentioned for marketing reasons. You can use any sort of video capture software / hardware combination you like to record and then submit a video. Although if your hardware cannot handle the game on at least high graphics settings, then your video will look a bit crappier than most of the submissions.
  4. My opinion is that Hatred's defensives are good as they are. Against those 16k railshots we already have 2 Def-CDs that do not effect our rotation. Because this thread is about life steal, I'd like to mention assasin's viability on the secret boss on Yavin, still one of the most challenging PvE bosses out there. In Hatred spec we receive about 4k DTPS which is only AoE, where in Deception spec we take about 3k DTPS. When nearly full 224 geared, life leech heals slightly above 1k HPS when doing the single target rotation, whereas in deception we heal about 200 hps from Overcharge Saber alone. Ergo both specs require about the same amount of attention from the healers, with Hatred having no positional requirement and less need to stay in melee range. Mechanics of the boss make it nearly impossible to maul when we would like to. Decption assasins already don't pull their weight on that boss whereas Hatred assasins do. After having killed almost every HM operation boss in Hatred spec since patch 4.0 and almost every NiM boss before 4.0, my impression is that DTPS in PvE content is easily manageable, sometimes to the point where we don't require any healer's attention at all because of life steal. (I don't want to compare to Sorcerers or judge their Defensive abilities. Maybe they are OP, maybe they are not.)
  5. Everytime you land a killing blow on someone, you get an Upperhand too. Are you one-shoting those NPCs? That could be the reason why you get so many Upperhands.
  6. Both specs are hybrid, although deception is more acrobatic than hatred, and a bit more melee-focused.
  8. I think utilities are that well balanced, it's hard to decide where to put the points onto. Especially after 4.0. The only thing i dislike is the RNG factor that comes with the movement speed buff in middle tier. I would rather like to see the buff bound to an ability that doesn't occur in the DPS rotation. That would make us have more control over the buff. Would make sense to tie it to some ability with 30m range, but when thinking about it, there are not many to choose from. An extra button to keybind would be nice, a second force speed.
  9. This was meant serious because it seemed to be fixed. But this morning my client happens to freeze again.
  10. The problem with mitigation in PvP is not that yellow damage cannot be shielded. It can be shielded if the damage is kinetic or energetic. The problem is rather the amount of crits and the damage that is internal or elemental. Those are the types of damage that cannot be shielded.
  11. Electronic Arts owns the exclusive right for producing Star Wars video games for about the next 9 1/2 years. If SWG2 was coming it would be from EA.
  12. Should'nt you archive Hatred/Serenity parses too then? It's not possible to achieve same dps nubers with the same gear and crit rates as before the patch.
  13. Each player individually can finish it with whole new group. If one of previous operation player does the same before you, it doesn't hinder you from finishing it with another group.
  14. Mounted companions means more companions visible. At least in most scenarios, for example on the fleet. Leading to more lag.
  15. I'd like to see the final boss of each hardmode flashpoint drop an unassambled 216 token. Or the bonus boss. But I would be perfectly fine with 208 rating as well. A fix loot table would be nice, so you can fish for specific gear slots.
  16. I guess you're talking from a PvE perspective, where i mostly agree. The only raid boss where I can imagine by now the relic being BiS for healers is Nefra, where you often don't have any overhealing after the first "Voice of the Masters" DoT application. Maybe there are some bosses where it's BiS for vanguard tanks. It's actually possible to predict the proc roughly when using a custom Starparse timer. @topic: I sometimes like to use the relic when PvPing with my sage or scoundrel, be it as a healer or even as a DPS. Especially in Huttball, where, depending on playstyle, it can easily be BiS. (Yes, I'm heavily using H2F abilities before making them pay or scoring a goal )
  17. after 3 parses with serenity i've got about 80-90 dps loss.
  18. Are you sure the schematic is archived? I did not find it on my artificer. Also the mats required, Perfect Upari Crystals, were transformed to something else with patch 4.0; I doubt you could find any crafter on the who is able to produce a Rakata AlphaWave Inhibitor. My guess is, you don't need the inhibitors anymore.
  19. I agree with Loc_n_lol. I was healing the FP a few days after 4.0 went live in a premade group on my sage (full 192 set, a few 198 pieces). Everything seemed tuned fine, except for Sav-Rak where I was desperately searching for healing adrenals after the first wipe. 3-4 wipes on Sav-Rand and 3-4 wipes on the bonusboss. A few weeks later I tanked (~220 raid set) the FP with Jerba as the healer and that felt very easy indeed. Almost as easy to turn on brain-afk-farming-mode and not care about mistakes.
  20. Yes, it woks. The conal AOE attack ticks 4 times, as far as I remember. You can resist 1 of those ticks with Mad Mash. Thats basically enough to survive, so healers can focus the other tank. Mad Dash is ready every second round.
  21. Trash hits the target twice, Lacerate hits once per target. If you hit 2 or more targets with Lacerate, most of the time it's a DPS gain over Trash. But depending on your discipline, Trash will proc stuff that Lacerate won't proc.
