  1. Care to elaborate this part right here? o.O I would like to know how you'd choose the abilities that'd break CC. Certain abilities only do massive damage when spec'd into it, others do lots of mediocre damage abilities in quick succession. Couldn't some classes exploit this, particularly the DoTs specs since they can flow below the radar?
  2. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I know some people, and I personally, that like how some of the PvE/PvP gear looks. Expertise is nothing more than a crutch for those that suck at PvP? How'd you come to that conclusion?
  3. Only problem with that is then those who min max will still have the advantage. There isn't just main stat and endurance on those gear Also, I like how you're always against a full team of full WH w/ augs. One side never has recruit gear.
  4. Solutions > Warzones > 4 ~ That's social gear is it not?
  5. "Equal gear" yet somehow they're different ... So PvE vs PvP gear? Yea, that's one of the purposes of Expertise, to differentiate PvE gear from PvP gear.
  6. Doing BH/Ilum dailies or making deals with guildies is a good way to get Credits and the Augments.
  7. That's what I thought too o.O I would also like some holy light to clear this fog and show me the truth o.O The Force will guide me!
  8. Sages/Sorcerers got nerfed, Sentinels/Marauders got buffed. Sentinels/Marauders and Vangaurds/PTs are now considered OP. Gear grind is still there, but more more tolerable with Recruit gear. Anyone else want to add? Honestly though, best to find out what specifically about SWTOR PvP caused them to leave in the first place and see if that has changed. If what caused them to leave in the first place is still there, they probably won't be staying for very long.
  9. Which classes? Sage's Lift? They have to spec into it. There's 100% Absorb Shields? o.O Or are you refering to someone that has the Sage bubble? I'm so lost here @_@
  10. I wouldn't mind that, you guys are the least wanted DPS atm. You guys deserve a little something ... PB&J sandwich? I don't think a bone is very appetizing
  11. I sort of do that on my shadow depending on what I'm up against.
  12. I believe the Operative is the closest thing to a Rogue. At least when they're spec'd into their middle tree they are. Permanent stealth capabilities. They have a move that can only be used from stealth. Some of their moves have higher than normal crit rate and some require them to be behind their target. Close combat abilities and bleeds. Medium armor. Is there anything that's missing from a general Rogue skill set? I wouldn't call the Assassin/Shadow a Rogue because they don't ... have bleeds. At least their middle one doesn't. Balance has DoTs but it's shared with Sages and I don't believe Sages are supposed to be ... rogue-like. Their Kinetic Combat tree is tank so that's already out of the question. Infiltration has the most similarities with Rogues, but they're more of a ... Swordmage? Fighting with both melee and magic (In this case The Living Force - I 'm more for the Unifying Force myself =P)
  13. It's what I hate about it (T_T) It's not a true dual wielding class, the two lightsaber requirements is really just like any other weapon requirement. Replace it with techsaw and you pretty much have the same thing @_@

    Expertise cap?

Are you referring to me or the guy that I replied to? That doesn't answer my question either So if you would please be so kind? (^_^)
  15. Are you talking about me or the guy I was replying to? He said we should compare ourselves to them so yea =P I gave him the run down of what they have. I leveled a Jedi Shadow, was going to make him a Balance spec, but when I tried Infiltration I loved it.
  16. Wait that's all in one skill? WTH ... What have I been playing all this time? .... Right Combat Sentinel ... We don't get bleeds ... Err, correction, bleeds aren't that useful to us.
  17. We have to fight in the middle of the fire, some DPS don't have to go anywhere near it, others have other utility that we don't. Also, with all our defensive CD's we don't have a proper stun and we have to build up before our DPS can be done most of the time.

    Expertise cap?

Why is there a Power limit? o.O Expertise is only supposed to replace the main stat and endurance. Power works like critical, surge, etc you can build them alongside stats.
  19. If you look at your Character Sheet it'll show your offhand's damage - Damage (Sec). It does not benefit from our bonus damage, so that includes the damage bonus we get from Strength and Power.
  20. From the first respec you do there is a 7 day timer that starts till it resets the price. Also my question for everyone here - What's the purpose of Dual Wield Mastery when none of our moves actually attack with the offhand besides Master Strike? Even then, the lack of accuracy and the fact that the off hand doesn't benefit from bonus damage just doesn't seem to justify points into this. (I'm not sure if it's just me, but I've never noticed an offhand strike during Master Strike, just the Ataru form hits) For those that are wondering about Blade Rush, Precision Slash, Zealous Strike, etc - They just require two lightsabers, they don't hit with both of them unfortunately. Which leads to another gripe I have with this advance class in general, but this isn't the place for that. Also for leveling you'll want points in Watchmen First and use Shii-Cho so you can spam Slash and build Centering quickly for Zen so you can spam slash even more. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#501ZZbc.2 . From there start going into Combat with Jedi Crusader and Dual Wield Mastery. Unlike Blade Rush, Slash can proc offhand attacks, and you'll want to use Rebuke when it's up because it adds to your DPS and reduces incoming damage. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#501GZZbc.2 . From here Combat doesn't really add anything to substantial to PvE content until the the third and fourth tiers. Might want to spec some into Focus until you can start hitting those tiers http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#501GZRMRrZbc.2 . Anyways, these are just suggestions for when you're leveling. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#501RGbRRr0dZZbc.2 When you can use Bladestorm or attain Ataru form is when your burst will really start to increase. You can start using Zen's Ataru Effects and do 2 Slash in 1 second (actually 1.5 because of lag give or take a few tenths of a seconds). Also you can guarantee Bladestorms a critical hit with a shorter CD and cheaper cost. Combine with Precision you can even take down heavily armored targets with relative easy. Anyways I wish you a fun and action filled leveling experience (^_^)
  21. To answer your initial question it's 0, there's nothing that automatically kills my enemy for me. Would be nice ... Can we trade all our abilities for something like that?
  22. Is every other DPS in the middle of everything? Does every other DPS jump straight into your firing range? I'll be sure to mention that to all the snipers that they're not fighting fair. Get a Sent to 50 and see how you don't need people to glance at you, you go right into their bloody face and say "Hai!". Well ... at least that's what I say. I try to be nice to the people I eviscerate. If we're comparing ourselves to Deception Assassins then ... They have ... 1 spammable 8s mez - not usable in combat, 4s mez on a 15s CD, a 8s mez that can be used in combat but has 2s channel, a 2s stun that must be used from stealth, and a 4 seconds stun. They have 3 defensive CDs, one which gives them immunity from Force and Tech attacks, another that increases their armor by a considerable amount (don't quite remember the numbers), and the last one is a vanish but doesn't last only 4s (however the CD is considerably longer). They also have 2 offensive CDs which increase their Technique's effectiveness and gives their skills a high chance of critical striking. They also have permanent stealth so they can approach a target and guarantee an alpha strike, and move across the field undetected. They don't have 4 defensive CDs, but they have 2 offensive ones. Oh and their main damage dealing moves are at 10m range, not that they have trouble getting into melee range in the first place.
  23. I have a level 50 Sentinel with 1370 Expertise, may I judge?
  24. It's possible, and what's so unbalancing about it? Give it to Watchmen only and only Combat changes. What they'd get in return wouldn't be gamebreaking. It'd still have to revolve around mobility. It would make it so only one type of Sentinel can Camo, and not all types.
