Rebuttal 1: Correct me if i'm wrong Maul has a requirement of being behind the target and in melee range has 50% ArP compared to 90% and costs 1/4 total resource pool when talented and in addition it has to proc for this force reduction / armor pen to take place in the first place. Railshot is ranged 30 7-15 second cooldown. Rebuttal 2: Maybe I'm exaggerating slightly when I say consistently, you can achieve this damage by rolling power adrenals (BM/ WH) constantly and the damage is more like 4.7-4.9k practically regardless of armor type for obvious reasons. With adrenal it can be as high as 5.5-5.8 on geared targets.

It rarely ever takes 7.5 seconds, to proc a second railshot, pre 1.2 it was a crapshoot. Post 1.2 it's pretty much gauranteed. Also, I find it really funny that people are justifying large railshot numbers by listing other classes executes. READ THIS: REASON RAILSHOT IS OP; It has 90% armor pen, and benefits from 30% critical damage bonus. This is why aug'd war-hero pt's are consistently critting people for 5-5.5k+ railshots. If you dispute these numbers, it's because your gear sucks not because it's not true.

Grapple does like 400 resolve, dunno where you're getting your info from.

Sorry I must have overlooked it. I know the devs have sited merc dps / utility as subpar. It's just frustrating to hear the 'there's total balance l2p nub' posts over and over, only to know that some borderline useless. I think this thread is totally justified, just some of the responses are uninformed.

Can anyone answer this? Or are people are just gonna keep posting 'stop complaining about stuff all classes are balanced' threads. I've seen over the last few weeks so many threads saying that a merc's or sorc's dps spec is up to par with others. Or even going as far as saying they are anti-FoTM classes. The DPS Specs for both AC's are lacking. It's not about winning 1v1's there are just some classes that just lack utility or just bring less to the table than others.

What does a dps merc bring to the table that a sniper dosen't? If the answer is nothing, why bother bringing a dps merc to a 8v8 rated? If your answer is cleanse and heals, punch yourself in the face.

Well talents and new spells are about 80% of pvp, I mean you can go into a wz as a lvl 10, but you're gonna be fodder for level 37+'s (Unless they're absolutely terrible.)

Well, that's exactly how I feel right now, I read the 1.3 pts post, saying that in a few weeks they're implementing 1.3 on the PTS, so I'm guessing that that means about 3 weeks till 1.3 goes on the PTS and then 1-2 Months before the patch is released, so I probably have about 3 months before I can transfer my 8, 50's off this server. Is this the case? Can I get an admin's response? I'll just wait it out till I get some kind of response.

8 people on the fleet Saturday 2:30 pm: I know Bioware knows there is a population problem, I know there will be a fix, I know I can reroll a class I've already leveled to 50 on a different server, I know the transfers will be free. Yeah, besides DFA I consider pyro's not to have any other AoE, flamesweep should only be used from keeping a bunch of people off a node, or if you want to intentionally overheat.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. Mara jugg and sin are in almost every warzone now.. I don't see sorcs doing any better, they're always a squishy target and they just explode instantly.

So I guess pyro mercs just need to be a BIG BUFF to be on par with pyro pt.

Try taking an objective from a comb med op and a darkness sin, see how long it takes. I mean they're pretty balanced as a tank, but as a tank with dps gear on, they're pretty damn broken.

Why would anyone even need to argue this fact... Pyro pt's can do 800k dmg on single target burst, resulting in kills most of the time. Madness sorcs can multidot targets, most likely not resulting in a kill but it pads the meters well. Most people know that Pyro pt's are much better than sorcs are, and would agree that dps specced sorcs are one of the worst pvp classes at the moment.

The large numbers on sorcs were from hybrid specs pre 1.2. Maybe a sorc can post an 800k wz post 1.2, but how much of that damage resulted in a kill? Sorcs and pyro pt's are in 2 different leagues, you can stop comparing them now.

But no, if he wants to learn to play better keybinding is step #1, If you're going to click your abilities you might as while get a soda and use the bathroom inbetween using them. Grats to whoever said it was okay to click half of your abilities and key bind the other half. You can go back the the pve section now. For me, it's completely justified if he wants to make a post complaining about the healers and then sit around and guarantee losing a match it was well invited. We're trying to help him by telling him to keybind his abilities. If he's gonna refuse the advice and make a response saying it's okay he's a perfectly good player he gets 30+ kills and 5 deaths per match, we can all laugh and know why that game was truely lost.
